How to avoid voltage drop when extending the wires? My concern is that the solar panel might not be able to charge the solar lights properly (max) because of voltage drop.

Your concern is valid. I was aware of voltage drop effect when I first thought of extending the solar panel cable. What I did was to use a larger wire for the extension cord. I am not sure of the size of the solar panel cable but my extension cord, AWG #16, is definitely bigger. So even though it added 15 meters to the original cable's span, I did not have any problem with regard to the performance of my 40W solar light. It turns On and Off automatically at the right time (early evening and early morning.) As to actual on-load voltage drop test, no, I have not done this. But I was satisfied with the no-load voltage test on the finished extension cord (06:10). So far, in actual day to day operation it behaves normally. My solar panels are installed in a good spot for maximum solar energy harvest. Good luck!

I’m just saying. You don’t have to cover the solar panel to cut the wire. You can disconnect the solar panel from the light and then cut the cable and it would not have any effect or short circuit.

I'm curious what kind of battery and capacity (mAh) is used in the LED, I'm thinking if it's possible to add extra battery for longer and brighter setting specially during rainy days

I know what you mean. But I've no idea about the built-in battery as the light box is sealed shut.

You can use. 18650 if it is small led light. If it is a bigger unit. You can use several 18650s and parallel them

@@ngk5239 Hello can i use the 18650 DIY battery powerbank case and use as the source of my flood light it has 16 slots for 18650 batteries and I will just use a 5volts to 12 volts USb adapter to run the the flood light?

How long for the maximum of cable extend for solar panel ?

I think 20 meters total length using #16AWG duplex cable as extension cord could be possible with no significant drop in voltage. But I have not tried it. I've only done 15 meters total length (5 meters original cable + 10 meters extension) without any problems for my 40W solar light.
