sometimes its not about needing a lift, it is about making your life easier with leverage, safety, etc. but yes what you are doing works. anyway keep up the fun cheers.
Hi, Brandon. I did the same, I bought a 2019 crashed scout. I needed the top triple clamp, too. I had to paint the tank and front fender. Only 6k miles on the speedo. Beautiful bike never misses a beat. They are an awesome bike and very fast . Keep up the good work. Love your vlogs
Amazing job on the bike so far. i just totaled mine about a week ago. A car turned left in front of me. Your videos are an inspiration to potentially rebuild it after I heal. I haven't had a chance to see it yet. hopefully it isn't too bad
Brandon, next time take a shop vac and get the water out of the air box prior to pulling it. Odds are the only water was inside that box. But to be safe, pull the plugs (like you did) and just spin the motor. Have a shop rag in each plug hole to catch any fluid. Job done.
Hey Brandon 👋 I have a question. Hopefully you see this but do you know if the thermostat cover/ignition coil from the previous scout models that has the est. 1901 badge on it do they fit the 2024 scout? It says it only fits the 2017 but I've seen it on the 2022 models. The early production ones.
I haven't tried it, but it uses a bracket that mounts in place of the non-1901 piece. The 1901 piece sits on the bracket. Scout parts are interchangeable. I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Great video- thanks Brandon Those 60’s are good motors. I had one for my first indian. They quick, spazzy and fun. I always wished there was a 6th gear though final ratios match the full size scout, there is a difference I found between the 2 on the road
I ment to put this damn video on while I made dinner but here i am 39minutes in sitting here excited hes gunna try and turn it over for the first time. Hahaha Guess I gotta just finish it out now :D
What's up Brandon, I don't know if you have a seat for the bobber yet but I have a stock one id like to give you for free. Just pay shipping and it's yours.
Appreciate it! I'm not sure what I will do with the rear end yet. I'd rather wait than get it here and it just sits in the garage cause I didn't use it.
I value moving the jack in the corner and having half of my garage space floor free more than a lift. Different preference. If I get a bigger space at some point then sure. But with 6 motorcycles in a 380 sq ft space at one time and wanting to walk around those bikes, a lift gets in the way.

Use 3m dry lube next time for the air box will help you more than you know Installing it. Any dry lube will help I just use 3m btw
@@matthewleising84 Yeah, I considered using a bit of oil on the ring but just went with it. Great idea!
Excellent job showing inspection of the internals! You have a really good delivery and I love what you do!
37:38 🤣🤣🤣
Anyone that's done major work to a vehicle, and getting ready to start it for the first time will appreciate that. That's hilarious.
Ghost thought it was gonna stop me from starting this bike. Need to pay some rent and keep that noise to a minimum.😂
Great Job I’m learning a lot by watching your videos thank you so much for sharing
I think I was more excited than you wanting the bike to start dude. Good stuff man!!!!! You’re great.
You have yourself a good deal I think, Indians are good bikes
What size is the rear tire? Looks like they went up... assuming its still the stock rim
150

Excellent as usual sir! Magnum! Don't forget the Magnum!
Haha, I haven’t.
Amazing work bro!! The way you detail every step along the way of rebuilding the bikes is incredible, informative and concise. Appreciate you! ✌🏾😎

Hella cool!!! How much do you think you saved buying that versus one new/used?
@BrandonBicasso hi, I saved at least $10k . Here in Australia, a new scout is over $20k. Mine owes me $10k all up.
Amazing job on the bike so far. i just totaled mine about a week ago. A car turned left in front of me. Your videos are an inspiration to potentially rebuild it after I heal. I haven't had a chance to see it yet. hopefully it isn't too bad
Yikes. Hope you heal well and glad you’re still here. If your frame is okay, maybe you can get away with a front end rebuild.
Can't wait to see what you do with this one.
Great vid man your my new favorite motorcycle channel
Welcome aboard!
You should do a springer seat and rear fender delete. / big ass rear tire. Now that you are missing the rear fender. 😎
At 19:22 you did not know what that was on top of the Piston, that is one of the 6 million part QR code stickers indian puts these bikes! 😂 lol
Yooooo 😂😂😂 They survive everything!
My man Brandon does another one.
You are so busy! Good work man!
Sounds awesome, Wish they made their engines prettier.
After you said there was water in there, I was hoping you’d pull out a shop vacuum and get some of the water out😩😩😩
Nope. Went deeper which is more interesting anyway.
Now my thumbs hurt from trying to help you. Thanks for the video.
Your service is thanked. : )
Just get some Valve cleaner / carbon remover additive for 4 stroke petrol/gas engines. Works really well.
Sounds great!
Brandon: Hello There
Me, an Intellectual: Ahhh. General Kenobi.
Hey Hey!
You ever though about getting a set 1/4 3/8 battery ratchets? Doesn't have to be milwaukee brand. Just a thought.
Yeah. I will at some point. More so less excuses for people by showing them a ratchet will do majority of the work.
Sounds good Brandon! I really want a Scout for my next bike!
I got one 2016 17,000 Mi on it. 4 sale

Maybe next time. Wanted to see inside the cylinders and if the valves had worn seats from corrosion.
@@BrandonBicasso Plus it made for an informative video.

Yeah, I don’t miss 5 gear transmissions. That will take some getting used to again.
Hey Brandon….this is probably a silly question…but…is that a Harbor Freight lift???????
It is! Not a silly question either. Same lift I’ve used on all my rebuilds and maintenance.
Thanks Brandon!…..
nice work
Question: Should blue thread lock be used on motorcycle frame rails like I would on a race car?
You could. I refer to the manual for torque values and it wasn't noted to use loctite.I haven't used loctite on my other frame assemblies either.
I figured if you not using a torque wrench then use loctite.
@@P.E.O.ll-RhodesScholarGraduate oh most definitely!!

Should change oil & filter before start up. IMHO
I'd have pulled plugs, jumped starter and called it done.
Drain the oil
At some point.
Hi Brandon, eating my popcorn. 😂😂
Always front and center haha

Something with a bent frame... don't ask me how i know😂.
Good lesson, but a painful one haha
He who dies with the most tools wins!
You only don't need a lift until you try a good one. Don't buy the HF one.

Just keep telling yourself that.
love the videos.. i have a 2021 scout myself. What motorcycle lift are you using. i need one myself... :)
Harbor Freight : )
