    Founded: The Sedgwick distillery was founded in 1886
    This distillery started producing whisky in 1990
    They produce Three Ships and Bain’s whisky
    Master Distiller is Andy Watts - awarded master distiller/blender of the year 2018 at the World Whisky Awards
    Situated: Wellington South Africa
    Owned by: Distell Group Ltd - Also owns Bunnahabhain, Deanston, Tobermory and Scottish Leader

    Finished in Fino Sherry Casks
    Only 2940 bottles released
    ABV 48.6%
    Not Chill filtered and natural colour
    COLOUR
    chestnut
    NOSE
    Sherry, wood spice, smoky chocolate, coffee, honey, grain and fruity sweetness
    DROP IN THE PALM - buttered warm brown bread
    TASTE
    Lively wood spices, sherry, light smoke
    Berries, honey, vanilla, peppery chocolate
    FINISH
    Dark chocolate finish, oak spices
    EMPTY GLASS -sherry soaked muffins
    WITH WATER:
    Nose: very similar
    Taste: a drop of water is necessary - smooth, floral, sherry
    COMMENT: not my favourite of the series

    I read a review of this expression stating that it is distilled from a mash of various GRAINS..?!?! It seems to be the costliest one of the bunch.
    Very interesting series Gustav.
