Jack The Cat Reenacts Danger Of Candles & Cat Tails After Fur Burn

- Our over 4400 videos are all about love & laughter, with a few tears shared over our heart breaking losses of our dear furry family members, however after a near miss of a serious accident Mom decided to reenact what just happened to Jack's tail. Mom had a candle burning on the counter on the other side of sink from Jack's favorite perch under the treat cabinet. The candle was accidently moved to Jack's side of the counter & all of the sudden we smelled something burning & the something was Jack's fluffy tail. Thankfully it was just a minor singe, but we just wanted to share the dangers of Candles & Cat Tails. Please share as a warning of these dangers .

My childhood cat loved sleeping under desk lamps, especially those with old lightbulbs.
Back in the day, as I was playing computer with my back turned towards my study desk, I smelled something nasty. Confused, I turned around and saw tiny smoke going from my sweetheart's back. Her face was all happy and oblivious! I quickly patted her and she looked at me as if I was out of my mind. xD
Now it's a sweet memory that I cherish. She was my everything.
All is well that ends well. :,) I'm glad Jack didn't suffer from the burn. I bet he has no idea! Sweet, oblivious babies.
Same things with stove tops. One of my boys jumped up on the stove top after I had taken everything off from cooking but hadn't had time to cover the burners and slightly burned his little pads on the electric burners. I just wanted to die for him having been slightly hurt -- he jumped up on the counter, then the stove and like lightening was off that stove. I've been a total crazy freak to make sure all burners, electric or gas get covered once done. Now I don't even light candles or anything with fire for fear of a burning tail or nose, or a knock over and then we've got a house fire.

Brodie approaches Jack, pointing his snout at him. Millisecond staredown and Brodie *flinches* without Jack making a move and Brodie moves away! Jack's like: "Yeah Kiddo, you know who's Boss around here!" lol I'm glad Jack's ok. And Brodie! 🙂
Great to hear Jack is okay, must have been pretty upsetting for everyone when this happened. I think Jack needs new cat treats and toys after today, and so glad he has nine lives🐈🐈⬛😺
We use wax burners. My cats and dogs liked the candles too much!
