In my mind, Alex is basically one of (if not THE) top dancers in SYTYCD history. The fact that he has reached this level from only 3 dances, just shows the extreme amount of talent that young man has. Though I would love to see him on SYTYCD again (just because it's so accessible to me), there are so many better places he can and will go. Best of luck to the boy and his shining career as a dancer! And I hope with all my heart that no injuries will fall upon him again.
carolina munoz ....and such a beautiful soul. This piece of Sonya's was absolutely stunning, Alex and Allison ....both took my breath away performing this masterpiece!
Every time I watch this I get tears in my eyes. As someone who has spent a long time carrying others on her back, bowed under their weight, this piece grabs my heart. It was exquisite.
Allison is my all-time Favorite. Not putting down anyone else. But there has to be an ultimate mark. She is it. You can have your own opinions. To me...she is It.
Keith Purdue She elevates every dancer who is blessed with her as a partner to a different plane where excellence is left in the dust. Every dancer, every time. She is Allison. We are lucky to see her absolute genius.
+Keith Purdue Me too, it was the season 2 of SYTYCD and I was taking my first time to enjoy dancing. I discovered the wonderful Allison and since that time, I never stop following the beautiful way of expression of dance. Allison thank you for it!
Just flawless I don't know how many times I have watched this, but I can saythis I get chills and every time and God has blessed Alex with an amazing gift and he just puts me in AWE!!!!! He is down right talented and is one of the bestmale dancers to grace the So You Think you Can Dance stage.......Amazing
Allison is immaculate....she dances through every single bit of her body...even her toes! 1.50...one of the best ever dancers on the show. Alex was fortunate to have her, as brilliant as he is she elevates every piece she does and her partners.
This piece of art is why I LOVE dancing. You face all the deep-down fears you have , all the the feelings you are struggling to bury...What can I say? I love you Sonya for that....
Beautiful. Here is my personal take on this art piece: Alex symbolized God to me and Alison could've been anyone in need of salvation. The parts where she was carried was God lifting us up and carrying us when we are in need. I won't go any deeper but that is what I saw when I watched this. It brought tears to my eyes.
I want to thank to SYTYCD for teaching us about what dance means... opening an entire world to me... I never thought I would appreciate this type of art
alex was the an absolute gem and deserved to win this whole show. Unlucky injury to him and cant wait to see him dance again im gonna be watching for him thanks for the post mate much love
I start crying before they even start dancing because I know how intensely beautiful this performance is. Dude would have won it, hands down. Absolutely stunning. The judges hit it right on the head, as you watched, you felt their movements within you. I hope Alex goes far even after his injury.
This was breath taking! When I watched this on my laptop, for some reason,I felt tears and found myself crying.I was like wait why am I crying! This dance just made tears stream down my face and I didn't even know why!All I can say is brilliant!
I dance on the stage too and when the audience cheers it makes me better. I play off the audience, if the audience is applauding it makes me feel like I am doing something that they like. I really like it when the audience cheers.
Thank you Katie! When I speak in front of a room full of people and they show a reaction, I'm catapulted to the next level. Perhaps, dance has a new audience or is becoming something more involved than quiet anticipation.
He has me in more tears when he tore up that hip hop!!! It's just so, so so very hard to get a ballet dancer to do hip hop, he not only is talented like crazy, he is humble and modest and put in that much effort into another form of dance and expression, that is such a beautiful thing and look what happened...
Out of all the seasons, season 7 gave me my top two most memorable dancers: Alex Wong and Lo Fro. Alex is seriously in a league of his own, and I cry every time I watch him dance. He and Lauren ARE dance and they are music.
Who cares if the audience is cheering? They're showing appreciation! I dance on stage a lot and when people cheer in the audience it makes me and the rest of the dancers fell amazing however away from that this such an amazing duet, beautiful!
I stopped watching this show for quite a few years. After the massacre of little kids shattering my heart and making me really angry (over senseless gun violence yet again), mindlessly channel surfing last night I saw SYTYCD on the guide and decided to record it. So glad I did! The last dancers audition gave me some desperately needed inspiration after months of deep depression. Another dancer auditioned to ‘Get Out of Your Mind’ and I immediately flashed back to Alex Wong and Twitch, which in turn led me to Hallelujah with Alex and Allison. Of the seasons I watched, this one was by far my favorite! I was broken hearted when Alex ruptured his Achilles. I KNOW he would have won. Even though I lost interest in the show for many moons, Alex Wong forever left his mark on my soul!
I am just now seeing all of Alex's dancing. I have tears because when they were trembling and shaking when dancing, it reminded me of how my legs wouldn't hold me when I had spinal cancer last year. And yet, I had the love and prayers of friends who helped me through it.. Alex, please don't despair. Get better and dance for us who cannot dance, who are blessed to actually walk now. Be our legs. I love you. I almost called the # at the end! (Ha!)
I may have a couple of drinks in me, but you can at least take my words for truth. I shed a few tears for this performance.Pure majesty from both dancers. Please like this video.
I'm sorry but i have to say something. i am a dancer myself and it can be really encouraging to hear someone that you don't know at all calling your name, screaming that they love you. this type of screams are not boo's. these are encouragement screams and it is very comfortable to know that you aren't doing this for nothing and that someone cares that you are on that stage performing for them. the feeling of being able to live up to peoples expectations is more than enough.
I can WOW how damn awesome this dance is the moves between the two of them is exceptional... and the cheering shows the admiration people have for the dance, id cheer for them... up you alex and the beautiful allison
I used to compete against him. He was quite the little character back then lol... He's grown into one of the (if not the most) amazing dancers I've ever known. Just incredible.
This guy's control of his lower body (legs, in short) is amazing. when he lands, he lands so so smooth, and after landing, his legs sticks to the ground like magnets. WOW
the best dancer to ever come out of SYTYCD....his hip hop and this proves this. It he didn't injure himself, he would have won. A truly, truly stupendous dance.
Alex is without a doubt one of the most talented dancers in the history of this show, but for God's sake I couldn't take my eyes off of Allison. She made this dance for me.
3 things 1) Alex is perfection in this 2) Allison is amazing. 3) Sonya is absolutely brilliant and brings the best out of her dancers. Lastly Mia said it all
some people do not understand the poetry of dance as Nigel Lythgoe tried to explain. the ones that kept screaming for alex did not understand this dance piece should have complete silence. such an extraordinary dance and fantastic Sonya Tayeh is the choreographer. my opinion the people who shouted out alex, alex had no reverence as they watched this and should have kept their mouth closed. every time i watch this i get mad at the shouters and if it was possible to remove them and keep the music on and complete the dance. even with this i still enjoyed the dance of allison and alex choreographed by sonya tayer will be in my top of the top danced.
im not much into the dance, but agree. HATE HATE with all my heart when I go to a concert and people scream for 2 hours non stop! At least in dance you can see, and shut down the screams in your mind, because you still can see the art. but when the art goes in thru your ears and these bunch of "sheep people" just dont stop for a second to actually understand what they are looking (hearing) at . For example, I waited years to finally see live Nick cave and the bad seeds. and people dont even shut up in the Piano ballads. it was the most disappointing concert i ever been. And Nick and the band were awesome. Art is not for everyone. Here we had Jeff Buckley wonderful interpretation of Cohen "Hallellujah" and the screams ruin it big time.
I love Sonya's reaction to his dancing in the rehearsals. Usually she's really sharp and to the point, almost like a drill sergeant. Here she's like, "That'll do..."
THANK YOU. This is seriously how I have always felt about this dance but no one ever seems to agree with me. It's beautiful, but emotionally it just was never there for me.
Alex's injury was heartbreaking. He could have won the whole thing that year. He's such a joy to watch.
I was thinking the same thing once more while I was watching this masterpiece I-dont-know-how-manyeth-time :)
I just met him and he’s definitely amazing!
He definitely would have won.
Agreed!!
I agree, no doubt he would have won! ❤️
In my mind, Alex is basically one of (if not THE) top dancers in SYTYCD history. Chills... Chills through out my entire body. Sonya is raw. Her choreography comes from the core of her SOUL! Such a beautiful work of art.
So right ! she's my favouite choreogropher
There is no better word to describe her then raw
carolina munoz ....and such a beautiful soul. This piece of Sonya's was absolutely stunning, Alex and Allison ....both took my breath away performing this masterpiece!
Yesss her choreography is amazing 👑👑👑👑❤❤❤❤
Sonya, is amazing. Allison and Alex are amazing! The dance was beautiful, emotional, and raw
Every time I watch this I get tears in my eyes. As someone who has spent a long time carrying others on her back, bowed under their weight, this piece grabs my heart. It was exquisite.
It's 2022 now, & I still remember Alex.
He was a magnificent dancer,
& I hope he still follows his passion for dance.
yes Alex still dances thanks to tWitch 😢
Geez louise.. I cry everytime I watch this.. the dance.. the movement.. the gracefulness of it is so touching!
Sad wwaxx CQ. CQ
i think alex is one of the best dancers this show has ever had
Allison is my all-time Favorite. Not putting down anyone else. But there has to be an ultimate mark. She is it. You can have your own opinions. To me...she is It.

+macari72 I agree, well said!
I agree with you 100%. She's been my favorite since the first time I saw her dance.
Keith Purdue I completely 100% agree
Just flawless I don't know how many times I have watched this, but I can saythis I get chills and every time and God has blessed Alex with an amazing gift and he just puts me in AWE!!!!! Alex is absolutely amazing. His talent shows with every move. ❤️
Two of the best dancers on this show that never won? Absolutely!
Allison is immaculate....she dances through every single bit of her body...even her toes! 1.50...one of the best ever dancers on the show. Alex was fortunate to have her, as brilliant as he is she elevates every piece she does and her partners.
This made me cry like a baby. What a marvelous contemporary piece.
One of the best pieces. Ever. I cried then & I'm crying now. So. Freaking. Moving.
This piece of art is why I LOVE dancing.
You face all the deep-down fears you have , all the the feelings you are struggling to bury...What can I say? I love you Sonya for that....

The parts where she was carried was God lifting us up and carrying us when we are in need. I won't go any deeper but that is what I saw when I watched this. It brought tears to my eyes.
this routine means maintenance of the ability of being able to express emotion through music. the choreography was perfection.
The most beautifully constructed dance in the history of this show in my opinion! Goosebumps!
"we forget to dance because the steps are in the way." such a good quote, and so true!
I start crying before they even start dancing because I know how intensely beautiful this performance is. Dude would have won it, hands down. Absolutely stunning. The judges hit it right on the head, as you watched, you felt their movements within you. I hope Alex goes far even after his injury.
There's no style that Alex can't master! He's all kind of phenomenal! Huge fan of his since SYTYCD!
i can't believe to this day that i was lucky enough to see this in person. this is one of the greatest if not the greatest dance of sytycd.
mia being a judge was one of the best things ever to happen. bring her back. she's brilliant.
This was the best season! I mean really! There was this, Gravity by Mia, Bleeding Love, and so many other genius dances that touched my heart.
7 years later that performance still gives me goose bumps.
This was breath taking! When I watched this on my laptop, for some reason,I felt tears and found myself crying.I was like wait why am I crying! This dance just made tears stream down my face and I didn't even know why!All I can say is brilliant!
I've been dancing for 16 years, I have always loved when the crowd cheers throughout the dance. Cheering helps me keep my energy up!

Two of the greatest dancers to grace the stages of SYTYCD..... Performing a dance that would ring thru the ages..... #amazing
Alex was an amazing dancer. His injury was cruel to the heart. He could have won. He deserves it!
Who cares if the audience is cheering? They're showing appreciation! I dance on stage a lot and when people cheer in the audience it makes me and the rest of the dancers fell amazing however away from that this such an amazing duet, beautiful!
Feel*
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! you guys dance like angels. Just WOW!!! I am amazed at how you can move with your bodies...it's ridiculous...
Like is not a strong word. I ABSOLUTELY ADORED..wait LOVED.. WORSHIPED this performance. WOW!!
I stopped watching this show for quite a few years. After the massacre of little kids shattering my heart and making me really angry (over senseless gun violence yet again), mindlessly channel surfing last night I saw SYTYCD on the guide and decided to record it. I LOVED THE SHOW FROM DAY ONE. IT HAS SOME OF THE BEST DANCERS IN THE WORLD.
Speechless.
I can't even bear the weight of this dance's beauty.
Pure genius. I never get tired of watching this.
Amazing ,, Sonia is so creative ,,, Alex and Allison just woooow
I am just now seeing all of Alex's dancing. I have tears because when they were trembling and shaking when dancing, it reminded me of how my legs wouldn't hold me when I had spinal cancer last year. Beautiful. Thanks for putting the judges comment in too, for those of us who us who missed some episodes .
This is one of the most beautiful art i have seen!! Excellence at its finest!!
I can WOW how damn awesome this dance is the moves between the two of them is exceptional... and the cheering shows the admiration people have for the dance, id cheer for them... up you alex and the beautiful allison
the best two dancers (best male, best female) this show has ever had.
This piece is stunning. It always touches me. I don't know if she got one, but Sonya deserved an award for this masterpiece.
When I saw Alex during the Oscars a few weeks back, I was so happy and glad to see him. He needs to keep dancing no matter what. Love the guy!
I used to compete against him. He was quite the little character back then lol...
He's grown into one of the (if not the most) amazing dancers I've ever known. Just incredible.
Him and Danny are freaken ridiculous. Wish i could have seen those two dance together WOO!
Still one of the most powerful pieces ever on SYTYCD
Alex's moves are sooo beautiful also the song mad this rotting more expressing !!
The very best dancer EVER on SYTYCD!!!My favorite dancer ever!! Bravo Alex!!You're the champion to me!!!
Watching this in 2020 - my goodness Nigel's commentary got to me in this re-watch more than it did in real time. Correct, sir.
Still one of my favorite. AMAZING!!!!!
i loved his dancing since I seen his audition. love his lines and how beautiful he is!!!!!
This guy's control of his lower body (legs, in short) is amazing.
when he lands, he lands so so smooth, and after landing, his legs sticks to the ground like magnets. WOW
One of the BEST SYTYCD routines EVER!!
You ever notice how anyone who dances with allison is taken to a whole new level emotionally, she was ridiculous!!!
You can see him as one of the dancers at the 2023 Oscars during the Naatu Naatu dance as well as SYTYCD alumni Jason Glover as one of the leads
I love this dance.. this is what dance is suppose to do.. bring all kind of emotions out in the dancers and the audience
If Alex didn't have his injury, he would've won that season of so you think you can dance
+Amy Ing and easyyyyy !
+Amy Ing I would go as far as saying crushed that series
Probably the best male they've ever had.
usually it is who knows but i have to say hands down he would have won it
the best dancer to ever come out of SYTYCD....his hip hop and this proves this. It he didn't injure himself, he would have won. A truly, truly stupendous dance.
Yup a tear just fell. This was beautiful.
This really was epic dancing. I still remember seeing this for the first time. Still hits the same as it did the first time.
Wooooooo... get me every time. I was so broken hearted when Alex was injured and couldn't continue. He would have taken the cake that season.
Alex is without a doubt one of the most talented dancers in the history of this show, but for God's sake I couldn't take my eyes off of Allison. She made this dance for me.
That was so expressive and beautiful. I cried.
this sent shivers down my spine... amazing
Love this dance. Touches my heart every time i watch it.
i'm still shocked this wasn't nominated for an emmy
i mean... this piece was absolutely beautiful
and it most certainly deserved a nomination
i can't get enough of this and the other Alex routines!
3 things 1) Alex is perfection in this 2) Allison is amazing. 3) Sonya is absolutely brilliant and brings the best out of her dancers. Lastly Mia said it all
Let it out, man!!! Don't hide your tears. You WORTH those compliments!!!
I swear if Allison doesn't get the hell outta here with all this greatness every time she get on stage.....insane!!
The two best dancers they ever had.
my all time favorite dance!!!!! makes me cry every time
And now Allison and Twitch are a happily married couple. Yay.
Angela Orton really? are they going to be a choreography team?
Missy Rabbit I don't think so. This season is different. Street vs Stage and Twitch has his own team of street dancers.
and they are having a baby together too.
And now they have Maddox :)))
Thank you!!! I was watching Twitch's and Allison's dance show for Ellen today and trying to figure out where I had seen Allison from!!!!
I agree. It was almost no contest.
What a shining star on this planet.
Oh my freakin god, Alex is the king! He seems like such a sweet person and truly genuin. Hope he wins!
Still one of the absolute best performances Ever!!
How emotional Alex got at the judges' comments made me cry. Well, cry harder.
This gave me chills on chills on chills. So amazing.
Two best dancers to ever grace the SYTYCD stage. Ever.
alex wong. you make me wanna cry in a corner. your dancing is freaking breathtaking.
that was very beautifully said...The same happened to me..thanks to that show....Finally dancers have been appreciated
Allison is above everyone! She bring the best out of anything or anyone she touches!
Every single time I watch this I get chills and I cry..
some people do not understand the poetry of dance as Nigel Lythgoe

THE LIFTS ARE AMAZING! AND I LOVE THE SONG!
I remember when I first saw this… still gives me CHILLS😭😭
I love Sonya's reaction to his dancing in the rehearsals. Usually she's really sharp and to the point, almost like a drill sergeant. Here she's like, "That'll do..."
THANK YOU. This is seriously how I have always felt about this dance but no one ever seems to agree with me. It's beautiful, but emotionally it just was never there for me.
