I also have a detailed video on using Landing Pages in MailChimp: th-cam.com/video/yIlYMMM0Awo/w-d-xo.html Any questions or videos you'd like to see, leave a comment!
Thanks, but with the landing page opt-in form, how do you edit the page that shows up after they opt-in. So for example the page that pops up that says' thanks, go check your inbox for your free gift...'
Hi Wade, This was such a helpful video. I do have a question, the version of Mailchimp you are using, is that a free version or paid? I tried to create an Embedded form, however there is zero choice in style. I'm using the free version. Cheers
Hi, i am using the free version. Mailchimp doesn't have a lot of options to style embedded forms unfortunately. You would need to design the area on your website and pop the form within it. ConvertKit had some good form/box designs tho.
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to host a MailChimp built landing page within WordPress. You would have to build a page on WordPress and add a small form within it. This isn't too difficult if you use a Page Builder like Elementor or Divi. I did find this solution pop up a few times - a plugin called SeedProd: www.isitwp.com/create-mailchimp-landing-page/ I've never used it and it is premium. But Hopefully one of those options suits. Otherwise, last time I checked, ConvertKit an the official CK plugin embeds landing pages directly over WordPress pages easily enough. (more here help.convertkit.com/en/articles/2502610-wordpress-add-a-landing-page-to-your-domain) I hope that all helps!
Hello Wade, thanks for this great video. I do however have a question. I have created a sign-up form in Mailchimp and was able to make it visible on the website. Registrations work fine. However, I first want to have a small pop-up on my website saying "Sign up for our newsletter Click here". When they push the "click here button" they should be redirected to the Mailchimp Sign-up form. I have created the pop-up already in Wordpress by using "Popup Maker". So I want to have a step in between since I thinks that the popup form of Mailchimp is too dominant on the website. Can you explain how to fix this? Many thanks in advance for you assistance. Kind regards, Léon (from Amsterdam)
Hi Leon, it sounds like you're on the right track! Could you simply create a landing page in MailChimp or even an embedded form within your website and simply link to that? IS that the kind of effect you're after? If so where abotus are you getting stuck? The other option may be to get a popup plugin which integrates with MailChimp (I use Bloom sometimes from Elegant Themes) - PopUp Maker may work for that purpose? Finally, can you add one of the minimal embedded forms from MailChimp into the PopUp Maker editor? (embedding mailchimps HTML) I hope that all helps mate!
