yochanan shepard I've got you, man! Here in Denmark, we've built our society on socialism. In a nutshell, the way it works is that hospitals, elder care homes, and a bunch of other stuff is owned by the government, essentially making them non-profit organizations. We also have a combination of a comprehensive welfare system and free market capitalism, sustained through super high taxes. I'm not sure about the exact numbers for the other Nordic countries, but here in Denmark they're around 50%. Sounds nuts, right?! Most people are quite happy to pay them, though, and they're offset by super high wages, so it works out that, say, a beer or an apple or a litre of milk comes to the same proportional price from your salary as in Canada and (i think) the U.S.
Through those high taxes, every Danish citizen also gets free education up to and including masters degrees, and a monthly salary of ~$1000-1500 while studying. We have collective bargaining at the national level, and a sort of three-part-system wherein unions (-labour and -employer) negotiate wages and labour policies, which is mediated by the government (representative democracy btw).
This system is designed to enable anyone from any "walk" or "station" in life to be able to achieve "anything" and we're largely really really happy with it. Denmark has been found to be the "happiest nation" in the world numerous times. Here it's a running joke how "socialism" is portrayed in the U.S. while, in a common turn of phrase, I suppose, "NYC eats it's young".

There was a running joke in the vlogs about pigeons. I've been searching for a while now to watch them again but I can't seem to find the episode where he shouts them out.

I have no problem with anyone's political views. The problem I have is when someone uses their fame to try convince the ignorant and ill informed to vote the same as you just because of the fame you've achieved. This is something many celebrities do and it disgusts me. A truly great person would encourage people to do their own research and vote for the person they feel comfortable with. Please don't play coy Casey. I like you, I really do, but you didn't simply express an opinion. You expressed your opinion and you incited people to harass other youtubers. I firmly believe that you did not know that you were inciting people. You merely thought you were calling to arms. But you are well aware of some of the abuse youtubers have received as a result of your video and for you to gloss over it in such flippant manner just adds insult to injury.
It's not about being clueless. I genuinely think his heart was in the right place. He might have thought that fans would kindly and respectfully approach their respective youtubers. I wouldn't and didn't fault him for this. But this limp, disingenuous sort of refusal to fess up to what he caused has irritated me. He has gone down in my estimation.
