DaWolf referencing an ability or move in nearly every bar was a treat. Mat4Yo seriously upped his flow level to probably the best it's ever been. ChiChi NAILED it as Diantha. I think this takes the cake as the best cypher Cam has done.

I think Shao Dow was really disappointed that nobody got the November reference in his verse: "I'll make you know of Ember (November) 'cause you're four-times weak (four weeks)"
My favourite line is Steven's last line: "My training's express like a crime thriller." Just a little cheeky reference to Murder on the Orient Express.

I really like just how different the reaction to things are here when compared to the other rapper reactors (to absolutely none of your fault, it’s just funny to see the difference). Like the beginning, where other reactors actually felt Ash had pretty mid delivery and Steven had really good, especially the higher pitch delivery. Very interesting and cool to see other perspectives. If you’re curious, the absolute best according to them is by far Lance, Alain, Steven, and kinda Iris.

As much as people dislike Diantha, she's probably the hardest working one of all the champions. Being an actress AND champion would give her a lot more fame than Leon receives and he's a showboater about it. Cynthia can get away to do her research same as Steven and everyone else seems to have their own sorts of free time. Try living a life as the strongest trainer and biggest actor in your region and see what kind of peace you get out of the deal.

I can understand people's disappointment with the game as years have gone by but it doesn't change that it was one of the best experiences for me personally to play through. They could have done better with a few things, sure but I think people underestimate just how much work actually DID go into it.

The masters 8 techncally isnt exclusively used to refer to champions, but rather the 8 strongest trainers in this league thing they have in journeys. 7/8 of them are champions though, and Alan was just below diantha in the kalos tourney iirc. Oh also the reason ash is written to go so harsh on Bea was because she was the first person to give him trouble while he was trying to reach the masters 8 and was sorta his rival for a while
