Lews blow Abu Garcia out of the water for performance and price
I definitely disagree with that. Lew's is the best reel on the market for price and performance.
I tell the prices for 2 reasons. To show I'm not rich like people say and to show people the retail price of what these cost if they are interested in getting them. And it depends on the cover. I fish mainly timber and little mats so all I need is a medium or medium heavy

What's your thoughts on a jig rod? Ill be flipping jigs too and am looking for a rod. I'm looking at mojo bass would a 7'3" me heavy? Not trying to sound like a dick but saying the prices kinda sounds like you're braging but the videos are great still!
I use the Lew's Tournament MG Reels on all of my rods (which is 3) but I was thinking of getting the speed spool as a back up type reel. What are the main differences between the speed spool and the MG. Is the MG really worth the $30 extra dollars?
Quantums r all plastic and burn out in 6 months Arbus r mad cheap I bought 2 veritas micro guide rods and had guides fall off

Abu beats Lew's by a mile. The quality of the reels is a lot better and the materials and overall strength is better
I have had two Abu garcia reels blow up while flipping. I have had no issues this year with lews

At first I thought it was because I had one and a couple of just regular speed spools but now I think the $100 one works fine, the MG cast a tad further but that's it and if u were planning on putting braid on it just get the $80 cuz I hve that one and it cast a mile with braid

Good clip.I agree with most of what you said, UNTIL you stated in the comments that Lews would blow ABU out of the water. That is only your biased opinion, you offer no convincing evidence. For the strenuous Salmon fishing we do in NZ, I would stack my ABU reel up against your Lews any day. I have a 35 yr old ABU 6500c which is still going like new. See how your Lews are performing at that age.

+Brando_88 yes. Anything 7ft medium heavy fast action. I use all Castaway rods. Check out their website to see if anything fits your budget

I think it just all depends on your personal preference when it comes to reels. I love my Abu reels, it's all I use. I have never had a problem with them and they perform great. I have heard great things about Lew's as well but like I said its all about what you're partial to. biggest thing is which ever reel you choose, keep them clean and lubed properly and you will be fine.

for everyone that is trashing abu yeah i mean lews is a great company and they make great reels but abu garcia is by far the most inovative reel company on the market. not all of their reels are great quality but they have the fastest lightest reels you can buy
Any ABU out of Sweden, has the old style European pride of workmanship, and quality engineering. I have used them for 40 years, Salmon Fishing and they have never failed.
