- Every year on the first full moon in August there is a quirky yet humble gathering of rivals & friends to decide once and for all who sails supreme! Actually there are two races, the first a circumnavigation of Marina island which starts on the beach with the ringing of a bell and a second that finds competitors tacking around objects floating way too close to shore! This is the story of the trials and tribulations of sailboat racing, competing against your past-self and the making of new friends and lasting memories.

Like you, Allison, I’ve been binge watching sailing channels for a few years. Delos got me started then down the rabbit hole I went - lol. I bought an Ericson 26’ last year and almost have it ready to go. Your channel has really lit the fire under my back side and hopefully be cruising next summer👍🏻
Awe so Nice! I landed on Delos very early on as well. La Vaga was actually the first channel I found back in 2017 or something when researching a sailing trip in NZ. That's when it clicked that I might not need to wait until my 'later years' to live this lifestyle. Shortly after, i moved to BC from the east coast and was absolutely in awe of this coast! Was wanting to watch people sail here but there wasn't much so we started making our own! So glad you're enjoying the vids, hearing from folks like you really keeps the whole thing going!

We filmed pretty well every day in August this past Summer, documenting our journey North! So takes a good few weeks to get those all out when we post weekly!
However we’re not filming so much currently, so soon enough we will be closer to real time. Ideally though we would like to maintain a 2-3 month lead time. If we had an editor it would be a different story. Thanks for watching :)
