- Look Inside Apologia Astronomy || Homeschool Science Curriculum Review
This is a look inside and review of Apologia Astronomy homeschool science curriculum. Here I will flip through and show you a few pages, let you in on how we use it, and give my honest review of the curriculum.

What do you use to teach science?
Yes, we also did not do every thing in the notebook 📒😬😬😬
It would take a long time if you did!
We did astronomy last year! My daughter loves all things space!
That's awesome!
That is really cool about the MP3's. Great Review!
Thank you, they are so helpful!
This was very helpful. I liked seeing inside the notebook.
Great! I'll be going over the land animals one in a video soon!
I want to use apologia possibly next year for their land animals. We're actually doing a space unit study right now that I created and just posted a video on. It's been simple, fun and just filled with so much learning for both me and my son.....thanks for sharing the details of this study. Very helpful.
Thanks from US also, this is inter-active fun! Likke :~)
That's great! I bet it was so good! Let me know if you do land animals we may do that next year!
Love the idea of doing the activity book together.
It makes it a lot less frustrating for my younger son but everyone still gets something out of it!
We are currently using Apologia for science and we love it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on astronomy.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you! I really enjoyed this review.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Why did I not know there was an MP3!!!
I don't know but it's made my life easier!
Oooo we love diving into 1 topic! But my girls tend to get tired of a topic after a week or so. I'll keep this in mind tho for when they're older! 💖
It's been a fun year!
We are using Adventures in Creation from Master Books for my first grader (and a pre-Ker and toddler tagalongs). We love it! There are a lot of hands on experiments, but they’re simple and usually use things we already have around the house.
That sounds great! I think Masterbooks' science is related to Answers in Genesis curriculum and I love their apologetics curriculum. Their science would be my second pick!
I'm looking at Adventures in Creation or Apologia's Science for a small group co-op option. Do either of you have thoughts or ideas on making this work? I know that Rian, you mention that you do Apologia Science with your co-op? Do you have a video on this or a blog post? I'm curious what this looks like? Like what do you do at home versus what you do at the co-op?? Thanks for any input you can give!! :)
Do you think I would need the journal for my kindergartener?
I don’t think it’s necessary that young. If you helped him/her along with it, it could be useful but not vital.
I love that you all use the notebook together!
It's cheaper and really I feel like we learn just as much if not more this way!
I totally should have bought the mp3 when we did anatomy! How did I not know that was an option!?
Apparently a lot of people don't! It helps so much!
Having done Astronomy and earth science, do you think you could do both of those together in one year? I’m not a huge science lover, but my kids are and I think they’ll move quickly through astronomy. They were wanting to do the heavens and the earth. (6th and 3rd that love to work together….plus a kindergartener and a toddler 🤪)
The astronomy is pretty easy to move through so you could probably do both, unless you want to do the complete journal and allll the demonstrations/activities. But they’re adaptable enough I think.
I really like the notebooks that go with the curriculum.
They're fun!
I didn’t know apologia had audio versions!!!
yes, it's one of my favorite things about the curriculum! LOL
We are doing Astronomy this year!!!
so cool! Did you guys watch the Perseverance landing yesterday? It was cool to watch after learning what we have this year!
Astronomy looks great!
It's been fun! It was really cool to watch the Perseverance land on Mars yesterday to go along with our studies!
How did I miss the mp3!? We loved Apologia! We did this last year. We did not use the notebook.
It makes it so much easier with the Mp3!
Thanks for uploading. I got the chance to see a rocket launch in 2018. Incredible experience. I shared a pretty cool montage of the journey to my channel.
Very cool! I may have to show my boys. It goes along with our lessons!
MP3 makes this curriculum very appealing it’s what I love most about the story of the world
Me too, girl!
The middle school level is not topical. It’s a survey.
Good to know!
My kids have been wanting to get into astronomy so bad!!
Community on mars sounds fun!!!
It's really interesting to think about!
My kids have been wanting to get into astronomy so bad!!!!!
I think they would love it!
Love swimming creatures
We loved learning about the manatee the best!
We love Apologia
I don't see us switching any time soon!
Hi there! Is apologia science designed to be done as a family or individually with each child? I have an 8, 6 and 4 year old and am looking for a Christian-based science curriculum that we can do as a family :) thanks for any guidance you have - new to homeschool world.
Yes, it is absolutely designed for multiple ages! I use it with my 9 and 7 year old and they both get a lot out of it!
Thanks for letting me know 😌😌
💜
I don’t like doing science experiments at all lol
I did when my kids were littler and I had more time...but not anymore!
🤓
