Oh no! I went to Dr. Lisle's website and now I want it all. We're going through astronomy right now and these look like great resources. Thanks!

We studies Astronomy last year and it was so fascinating. The Star Gazers book would have been a great addition. Will probably have to slip that back in this year for a review with the kiddos. 😉

What age is the stargazer book for? I would love it if there was some type of notebook or printable pages? How is it compared to Apologias Exploring Astronomy! Thank you!

Middle School and early HS. They do have the workbook. The Apologia book is more for 1st and 2nd graders. Their HS book is for HS. This is perfect for the MS age.

My kids are 4,6, and 8. Where should I start with astronomy? I was thinking of getting a nice telescope for Christmas but want them to have a better appreciation first. Can either of the books you recommend be used with kids that age? Btw Jason Leisl created the planetarium show at the creation museum which was awesome!

Dr. Lisle is awesome. We haven't made it to the creation museum yet. But I know Dr. Lisle has started his own ministry, Biblical Science Institute. You can follow them on Facebook, they're Facebook page is very active. His material does tend to be for Upper Elementary and up. Look at Apologia. For a telescope, for the younger kids, you might want something simple. The big one talks some time to set up and with younger kids... you're going to have to do most of the work. Hope that helps.

What kind of telescope does the book recommend?

We have a Crlestron Powerseeker 127EQ. The book also has some recommendations.

@@LivingWithEve how much do you see from that one? Is it easy set up?

What an embarrassment. How can you think that the Earth and Universe is only 6000 years old and study astronomy. So ignorant.

Nope, we have the same evidence, but our worldview determines our interpretation of that evidence. Look into Dr. Jason Lisle's arguments. They are very solid.
It's actually kind of sad that people consider young earth creationists ignorant and embarrassing without explaining why.

😂😂😂 when people go to TH-cam just to post criticism and call names on homeschooling videos.... Now there's an opinion you can trust.
Thank you for the wonderful video ❤❤😊😉

This course looks amazing and I am so glad that Dr. Lisle is a christian and an astrophysicist! My 11 yo wants to be one! We are going to do this as an elective and maybe do once or twice a week, I bought him a telescope for Christmas ( shhhh dont tell him LOL). What are your thoughts in studying biblical cosmology alongside of this?
