G’day Chris, hope you get to read this. I remember the video of you when you first purchased the farm. You had acres & acres & acres of bush and a vision, a dream. It’s has been a pleasure watching it be transformed into what you have now. It’s taken a lot of hard work & sacrifices....Thank you for sharing this with us. Best regards from Australia. 🤠

Interesting watching you clear today. I remember first clearing land and Dad at that time remembering he’sfirst clearing. He said when they first came they used to go out early in the morning and using a pocket knife cot each tree to remove the bark all around and then wait to a big wind storm to blow down the drying trees so that they could pile them up with the horses and start a fire as more tree s where added. They kept doing that until they cleared thetas first forty acres. After 40 acres were cleared they could get the title from the government and load owners. A big deal at that time. When I began clearing we used a farm tractor, Massy 30 ( I think at that time) and pulling a tree at a time. And then piling them for the next winter when we could burn them. Then begins with root raking and piling ( the kids job as they grew up) and use a 1 bottom pile to plot the new land for the first time. Things change a generation at a time, as a old man in his 70’s it is a good reminder of how thing changes and how it is important to adapt to new things. Thanks.
