Thanks for all you and your team do when it comes to customizing, but for the Kahr pistol, I love my Kahr triggers stock. One of the best factory triggers of any semi auto I have ever shot.
OMG! I was on the verge of having a fit during my own install. My screwdrivers were magnetic and kept pulling the spring assembly out unless I used my third hand to work a non-magnetic hook (I have a screwdriver de-magnetizer cleverly hidden in the house) so I mostly used a curved hook. There is a narrow furrow in the polymer that shows where the straight part of the spring will end up, and the curved spring ends up against the back end of the new trigger. I found I had to have my punch handy to push into the pin hole to help catch the the round spring when things finally lined up. Anyway, it all worked out and I am pleased. I compared my CW9 OEM trigger against the trigger of my K40 and it appears they are identical in the upper part that works inside the gun and are different only in the area pressed by the finger. The K40 trigger is slightly longer within the trigger guard and slightly flatter at the tip. Since I might want to replace the trigger on the K40 I now wish I had tried it on the K40 first. I recall the new trigger also listed itself as a replacement for the K40's trigger (the shipping package also lists the K series) but the web page no longer does. What's up with that?
Nightmare….no lie. Have not quit for good yet but I’m headed to the shop for the 3rd session of spring/plate alignment. Will try a few of the suggestions found on the comments, painters tape, rounding off the trigger pin and adding some oil. Hoping the work is worth the effort. I have done trigger jobs on 4 of my other firearms in less time than this one job. Never quit.
Be glad to assist with whatever stage you are getting hung up on. Please contact our tech through our Galloway Precision websites contact us page. Sorry TH-cam will not allow us to post a link here.
Would be extremely helpful if you mention or point out where the two ends of the spring are suppose to rest when it is seated correctly. Currently on my 3rd hour trying to get it in.
I thought I had it. Everything looked like it was working good. Until I got it put together and nothing. Then I noticed that bottom spring was sticking out through the back of the trigger. I new that wasn't right. I almost never got that slide off due to the trigger not working. You really need a better video how that spring is supposed to go in there, and what it looks like when it's done. I've seen a lot of trigger job\s on different striker fired handguns, and these video's are excellent. Can't figure out why you can't have a better video. I will keep tryin
@@GallowayPrecision I've worked on a lot of different firearms over the past 10 years; never a Kahr. I thought the mossberg trigger was difficult, but not anymore, This one is by far the most complicated, lol. Was just trying to help out a buddy figured I'd give it a shot. Didn't think it would be that bad. Ended up going to Galloway and saw this video. I'll be honest, it's not that much help. You should do an updated video. But I do appreciate all your help. I just can't figure out what I did wrong. Now I can't do it again; I mean get the trigger back together. But I will battle through until I get this figured out.
Nice trigger upgrade but unfortunately absolutely nightmare trying to get the trigger spring back in place . Don't know how you did it. The spring alignment would have been nice to see great video. Love you guys's product but unfortunately that is a trying to patience situation lol. Good luck to all those that are making the modification. Not sure if it's quite worth it yet after all the hours upon hours trying to get it together
The Kahr trigger is an absolute nightmare to put back together. The first time I did it it took me a total of 7 hours over the course of 3 days just to get the spring, spacer and pin holes lined up. I eventually rounded off the trigger pin on the driving side and that made it easier., I have been working on strike fire pistols for 30 yrs and Ive never had that much trouble.
BTW. Ill give you a tip. Take a piece of blue painters tape and roll a small piece and wedge it all the way around the between the spring and spacer. That way the spring and spacer stay in the correct spot in realtion to eachother and doesnt rotate on you. That also keeps the flat part of the spacer against the trigger. You leave the piece of rolled tape in there. It doesnt affect the trigger mechanism at all.
Have the low power springs and stainless striker guide from Galloway - and highly recommend the stainless guide rod upgrade as well (you can feel the difference), available from Kahr or www.tcsgunshop.com/ Been following this with great interest. 👍 Could the spring be attached to the trigger with some kind of schmoo prior to putting it in the pistol and then cleaned out after completed?
the gun has no safety! so like a revolver da trigger with long pull! makes it harder to fire gun even if you mean to! i bet a gunsmith at the local range could install it, for a few $
my dogs make guns that look nothing like pretty guns, easy, sum u load every shot, sum with belts u pull by hand, guns aint going no place, only gun manufacturers,
its will be smart 2 leave guns alone, cause sum will still have them at a unfair advantage, most will only make bow-n-arrows, an explosives, even worst, we dont wont 2 go 2 blowing junk up, then 50 is dead going 2 a call, they vest wont help that, leave guns alone they easier 2 combat vs explosives

You are out of your mind bub. Kahr makes the absolute worst trigger on the market... I have two of them.
@@jonross377 yeah I like Kahn’s but their triggers are kind of crap but so are Glock triggers!!!
@@jonross377 You have 2 kahrs ? Guess the trigger is not that bad!
Yup, one of the smoothest double action triggers out there; very much like a custom revolver.

Unfortunately the steel frames have some differences compared to the polymer frame models and we do not recommend it for the steel frame models.
That trigger looks amazing. Good stuff!
Any chance I can get a birds eye view of what the trigger spring is supposed to look like after installed?

Great video thank you very much I will be ordering one of your triggers
The shoosting begins!
I would love to do a review on this trigger.
Good video! You make it look easy. My CW9 is a bear to lock the slide back on without an empty mag in it. Any suggestions?
They have such a high spring rate in those pistols, there really isn't any tricks I can impart.
Gonna have to have a gunsmith do it for me, 4 hours with no luck..

The trigger spring rests on the top of the frame opening and the lower leg goes out the back of the trigger, both like stock.
He did mention it in the vid
I just got a k9 and went to the site to purchase one and its out of stock any ideas when they will be back
I just put a few on the website that came back with our latest batch from anodizing. We are waiting on the rest to come back in a couple of weeks.
Is the overtravel screw really necessary? It looks like it doesn't really have much of any overtravel
The overtravel screw is an adjustment for dialing in the overtravel in your particular pistols tolerances.
Would this work with CM9 models?
If not, do you all make a version for CM9’s?
“Let the shoesting begin”
Does this work on the Kahr CM40?
Yes. They work on all polymer frame Kahr, but the 380.

? can you feel a wall now before the click?
The trigger offers a shorter stroke and an adjustable post travel stop, but the type of break should remain the same as stock.

Any range demonstration video?
Anymore on the sear ?
Sorry we shelved the part and project due to finding multiple generations of sears floating around across the models.
striker control device?
Kahr make nice reliable pistols but the trigger reset in both of mine are obnoxiously long.

You need to somehow make it thinner don't like the way any of yours look awesome that your trying for something for khar
did u make the vid for the p380?
Not yet, but it will be the same for all Kahr pistols.
