Hank just reminded me of this one incident that happened about 20 yrs ago. As I was leaving my apartment building, I ran into my friend Jen, who was with her new friend Ursula. Ursula had just had her 1st baby. As Jen starts introducing me to Ursula, another girl that lives there comes out with her dog, a beautiful Husky. So, we all say hi again and do another round of introductions. When we were finally done with those, I gesture to Ursula's stroller and ask her the baby's name. She flashes a huge smile and proudly replied, "Destiny!" Taking absolutely NO time to consider what she's about to say, the Husky's human blurts out, "Oh! That's my dog's name!" 🤦🏻♀️ The look on Ursula's face was one of slight horror with a decent dash of disgust and a whole heap of annoyance 😂 Tried to make small talk for another minute or so, but it was so awkward.. I excused myself asap and got out of there with a quickness!
Hahaha! This is quintessential dog ownership. It's impossible to hear someone talk about their child's toddler/newborn behaviours & not feel compelled to say "yeah, Wombat does that too. But we just ask him to sit & touch our hand with his nose & it calms him down"

The secret is you're always in the good old days. For me personally at least even specific points during COVID was The Good Old Days. Early on we were allowed Cohort Bubbles. So every Sunday our best friends would come over my husband would cook a Big Breakfast we would eat and then we would all trundle into the living room to watch the sermon. After that we would talk and play board games all day. The rest of the week my husband and I would hang out in our pjs and play video games. After cohort groups ended the shit really hit the fan for us financially & job stability wise. The premier basically cancelled the important parts of my Christmas and made me cry but for us there really was a golden era of COVID and damn do I miss it.
Commitment to the Bit such a strong quality in both of you, and I love it. The Format is forcing a new angle on your creativity, and it’s clear you’re having a great time with it.
Lemon played a big part in inspiring my love of greyhounds. Now, I have an almost 2 year old grey who also has a food name, loves sports and soft things, and is a dream come true. I think about Lemon every once in a while and feel so grateful to a dog I never met ❤️

I had a chihuahua named Pudding. I didn't like her name, the family I got her from named her. Like her, the name grew on me. I eventually warmed up to her and I realized she was the sweetest cuddle bug. I miss her everyday.

Hank, this is my first semester in Anatomy and Physiology after a long time away from school and after years of watching Crash Course and Green Bros. content, but feeling like I would never truly need it like everyone else who "could do" school. I am one of them now. And the calf muscle is even better than the "calf" muscle: it's the gastrocnemius. Because it looks like a leg's stomach, if it had one and it had just eaten a big meal. Thank you and I love that artwork. Next year, new drop cloth? You're going to have to paint some shit sooner or later. If it ain't foke don't blix it.

Which meant the deer couldn't walk or run. The figurative hamstringing comes that - so it's really about how important the hamstring is!

I am a tag hag. I spray paint everything. If I owned my own house or my family allowed me to spray paint indoors I would likely be dead by now. AND FOR YEARS, ALWAYS, MY FAVORITE CREATIONS ARE WHATEVER WAS BEHIND OR UNDER WHAT I WAS PAINTING IN MY GARAGE! From furniture and pallets to the knobs from a dresser or a whole batch of random indoor items it is the very best. For someone who paints as much as me, with such care put into the first layer and obstinate abandon for what lies behind and around I have come as close as humanly possible to creating truly random work. I like how Hank added the muffler thing on the mic DURING the video. Also, The Format is just great. John does it like how people would pace to random places of the house during a phone call. Hank does it like combining several thoughts we had that we just pick up where we left off a few days ago and turn those trains of thought into a video. Like some sort of thought anthology.

I think I'm gonna make a bad financial decision and get a Hanklerfish this year. I haven't been able to donate for the last couple years due to medical expenses not covered by insurance, but I need this in my home.

It's funny, the black ceiling in the scene at 2:10 makes the wall behind Hank seem almost like a faux TV set wall that's open at the top rather than connected to a ceiling.

Calm Hank is more chaotic than normal Hank
I like how Hank added the muffler thing on the mic DURING the video. Also, The Format is just great. John does it like how people would pace to random places of the house during a phone call. Hank does it like combining several thoughts we had that we just pick up where we left off a few days ago and turn those trains of thought into a video. Like some sort of thought anthology.

i've really been enjoying this new style. I still like the old one, and i'm glad you guys still do it, but this very calming yet also silly type of video is very enjoyable. Keep up the good work!

I think I'm gonna make a bad financial decision and get a Hanklerfish this year. I haven't been able to donate for the last couple years due to medical expenses not covered by insurance, but I need this in my home.
Please don't make bad financial decisions because of p4a merch! Maybe you have friends or family members who would like to buy it for you as a late/early birthday present?
(Though I can totally understand the urge, as I always like the hanklerfish art and this year's recycled version speaks to me even more, somehow)

I actually discussed it with my partner and he was such a sweetheart - offered to get it for me as a valentines present 😍 we dont usually do valentines day; but we had a sewage flood happen on the 15th last year that destroyed my room; and we are just now returning to normalcy. So we decided to celebrate how hard we worked this last year. DFTBA 💓

It's funny, the black ceiling in the scene at 2:10 makes the wall behind Hank seem almost like a faux TV set wall that's open at the top rather than connected to a ceiling.
