Just ordered one tonight. I already have the A2 Bronco and it’s an awesome jacket. Very well made. I ordered them off Poshmark for a huge discount and two day shipping from New York. Update, I received the jacket and thought that it was a thin leather cheap jacket. I did some research and found that it was made for use in warmer climates. It’s actually a really nice jacket. I’m very pleased with it.
Love it Michael! My only problem with 5 star is I’m having trouble deciding on which one. Thank you for the review and unboxing. Seeing the leather style that you mentioned was a bit stiff makes my decision so much easier. I’m probably going to go for the AN6552 type. They look amazing on the website and as you mentioned, the price for these jackets are so low, someone would have to find something crazy wrong with them not to purchase from them. I may do a review as well when I receive mine! Thanks brother! Very informative as usual!
As always- great video. I have been wanting a 5star for a long while and I just can’t figure out the sizing. Seems like the sleeves are crazy long and I’m pretty nervous about trying to send my measurements in and messing it up.
From what I understand the early originals didn’t have the perforation, that came in later around the mid 50s I believe. There was a switchover with some overlap. I DO believe five star will actually add it if you like.
I believe Five Star and AVI Leather use the exact same manufacturer in Pakistan for their products. In other words, they are the exact same product represented by multiple brands. Michael, prove us wrong. Be well!
@@eddalbey2731 no mate...... AVI is made in Denmark and the quality is higher than Five Star but you're paying more for the higher quality tailoring and finishing Shawn Ali runs FiveStar which is all made in Pakistan
The biggest problem with FiveStar is their sizing. They only have basic S,M,L sizes, not 40,42,44 etc sizing. This makes it much harder to get a good fit. The better company to go with would be AVI LEATHER, they have better sizing. The problem with AVI though is they ship their jackets out in bags instead of boxes and the jackets can arrive very wrinkled and creased up! Not a good look, completely unacceptable!

I was wondering about ordering a Jacket from Five star how is the GOAT Leather holding up my friend!!
So I have a 44 G1 that fits across the chest (5’10” 203 lbs but dropping) but is snug in the belly area. Is this normal or should I size up to a 46?

Michael, I see the jacket has two rows of rib rack on the waist knits. Are the waist knits made of two layers (folded over) or is it one layer? Thanks

Only thing is off for me is that it doesn't have the USN perforation but other than that I'm more than willing to get one!
You are absolutely right, I wish the USN perforation was on the wind flap, but everything else is spot on, and its a good price

We should totally complain about this!! Hopefully they will change it
G1 is a great goatskin jacket but a pain the ass to repair though. A2 is simpler in construction and easier to fix lining and cuffs.
