Thank you for this video, Frani. I have been typed as a FG by one stylist and later as a DC by another. I feel that I lack the youthful playful energy of a FG and naturally lean towards a more introvert, minimal and stable essence. Hope to have your perspective too one day, I love the soothing warm energy you radiate. Sending you good vibes

To be honest, I have been waiting for this video for so long. Cause I am so frustrated about wheteher I am a DC or an FG. But, yeah, I think I am DC. Thanks for your video

It’s so nice to know that I’m not plain Jane! That it’s ok even elegant to be reserved. But still have an edge. Great way to explain the differences. Thanks so much

I may be a FG or DC but for sure with classic essence so I find classic tends to feel more cohesive with my vibe. Love these videos! Thank you!

this is all so interesting. i think that i may be a dramatic classic, mostly based on my tallness and boniness, and i relate a lot to what you said about that type in this video. especially regarding simplicity of outfits and accessories. i cannot even wear a bracelet at the same time as a necklace without feeling overwhelmed, i have to choose one or the other. i cringed when you put the scarf and the big purse with the second outfit, not because it looked bad, it looks great on you, but just knowing how i would feel with that much accessories. i would feel like a clown lol.

Once I thought I was a FG …. I’m a actually a SD… 😬🤣 your videos have been helpful because trying to imitate the clothes you wear I realized they didn’t look as good as they do on you. Hope you are doing well.

I know this video is old but you helped me finally clear up the debate of my Kibbe type. Im 5’6 so i felt like i was too tall to be fg but i think I am! I am almost incapable of looking refined and demure like a DC and I feel like even at 30 people continuously mistake me for someone who is in their early 20s because of how I carry myself. I also can pull off outfits that have multiple extravagant pieces that look separate from each other.

Imma throw this out there -- the soft yang types are also a mix and if you're too contrasted to be a classic but too tall to be a gamine, that might be you. I pinged back and forth between FG because i'm an even mix of a-b-c-d and DC because I'm 5'8" so not a gamine. Ya girl's a soft natural, but the test didn't make that obvious. Just gonna leave this here in case it helps anyone. I figured it out with process of elimination, which might be your best bet if like me you're answering all over the map because you have a human body and it be like that. It's also so true what she says about taking into account how you move and take up space.

I agree!! I was just studying flamboyant natural style and the ways they can mix textures and patterns can make their style look dynamic, contrasted, and bold, but it's not "animated" per say. The length and density of your bones really changes the way you move and the way fabrics interact with your body. More on this soon!

Thank you for this video. 🙏 I have been struggling with if I'm FG or DC. I'm 5'1". Def have classic essence. The styling suggestions being pretty much opposite makes it really confusing for me. Thank you for putting some outfits on to show the difference and explaining some things. I am new here and don't know what you are going through, but I just want to send a virtual hug to you. Whatever it is, you will perserve. I have subscribed and look forward to future videos. ❤

Frani, this is such an informative and damn amazing video!!!
I was always thinking that I was some soft kibbe type and something always looked and felt off. And I was watching your videos while playing with and studying kibbe system. And I was always jealous of you being a flamboyant gamine and how you dress! So I was professionally typed and I am a flamboyant gamine. Dressing like one is so easy and it feels like home! Your videos are always great and help to understand FG more. Thank you!

Thank you - I get the difference now. But good to see there are many similarities too, 'cause so much of what gamines wear works for me as a Classic.

Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I’ve been dressing as a DC for about a year, and something didn’t ‘click’ as I felt like the energy was slightly off for me. I’ve always felt like I couldn’t be an FG because of my height (I’m 5 ft 9 or 179 cm), but when I consider my nationality, I’m Dutch, and though I may be on the tall side for US standards, in the Netherlands my height is considered average, so it’s not the first thing to notice.
I know that my essence is similar to Audrey Hepburn's, and since she was also on the taller end (5 ft 7 or 175 cm), I just recently started identifying as FG when putting together my outfits. I feel like they make so much more sense, but I do struggle a bit with proportions still, as my imbalance seems to be appearing more in the details (hands/arms, head/face, etc.) rather than the overall shapes.
It’s been so confusing, but listening to you talk about how you can balance your length by playing with hem and cuff length, I feel like I finally get the system and how it’s not as fixed as I thought. So again, thank you for sharing your insights 🙌🏻 I will now continue to binge-watch all of your videos 💛

So, I have always thought I was a flamboyant gamine because my feet and my nose are big, but the rest of my body is pretty even. I look big next to my petite friends but not tall, although I look taller than I am. I have big eyes and high cheek bones. If I use a lot of detail i look clownish. So I think I am a dramatic classic with gamine essence. Is that possible?

what if I can't decide between FG and DC or identify as an FG but don't look good in some usually gamine things? I personally don't look great in high necklines (too constricted, I have broad shoulders and thick neck) and short hemlines (I personally enjoy how tall I look in high waisted pants vs the extreme line blocking of high neckline tee + short skirt + ankle socks, etc) but maybe those are my preferences since I do look somewhat compact and I am very short (157 cm)....? I also don't enjoy busy patterns especially the irregular, tiny patterns, I feel like it somehow takes away from my face if that makes sense...?

So torn between the two types! Despite being pretty balanced Flamboyant gamine suits my energy more - also despite being average height I’m tiny - very petite bone structure and struggle finding adult clothes that fit me (wear an age 7 school skirt for work because that’s what fits) 😂 My body measurements have stayed the same since I was 14 ten years ago and I was very small back then. Love my look but Womanly and elegant I am not!

I enjoyed this video, but don’t love how you’re suggesting that women might need to “unlearn” restrictions in dressing. Many women believe strongly in the fact that our clothing is a representation of who we are spiritually, and who we are not. As a Christian, I have freedom in Christ to dress in what feels and looks great, but what feels great to me is determined by who I am (a child of God), and I think it’s important to say that not all clothing limitations should be “unlearned.” I have clothing limitations now that I did not abide by when I was younger, and by pursuing holiness even in my attire, I’m now more appropriately expressing myself than I used to be. I have found true freedom, which is not the freedom to do and wear whatever I want- it’s the freedom from living a lifestyle of doing whatever I want which is in fact bondage to a spiritual enemy.
