Thanks to do it simple, easy and fully explained! This fit with c240 w203 2002 also. Was seeing tons of awful videos trying to take out the steering wheel and, if I follow them, sure will get damage my car electrics. Continue do in it like this! THANKS AGAIN!!!! A real pro!
I followed the instructions although the clips on the air bag were different slightly ,they didn't unclip the same but with a bit of fiddling around got it to work, everything else worked fine and when I connected the battery again everything lit up as before and no fault messages at all ,many thanks and I saved about 300 bucks
Good video, thanks it was a great help. Just two things, You should fit the locking piece before you remove the airbag squib. And if you remove the plastic clips over the switches first. You can remove the airbag squib and the steering angle sensor as one piece, which means the copper connections are not exposed.
Great instructions, thank you. I just did my 2006 CLK in the UK following this guide and it worked although the airbag clips are slightly different to mine.
Thanks for the video. BTW, what is the name/ reference of the 10 mm hexagonal bit? Didn't you have difficulty to remove the central nut? Please continue with the good job, like that you can help many of us. Regards.
Thank you. Is there a way to find the part code before I disassemble the unit? I need mine changed and the repair place wants the part code or / if it's a 5 or 6 pin make.
Hi after I did this procedur, the srs, esp and bas start to shine, I took it to a work shop but they could put the light out.. they didnt have the oem mercedes software but they clamid that something is wrong with the esp, airbag and brake sensor, any idea what have could happend?

@@mariagianna9676 maybe something have happend to the clockspring/steering indicator, I took it out and have it back to the center by turning it from side to side and the turn it back to the middle, and then I could have warning lights out
So I followed everything you put on here but apparently my steering tilt didn’t work afterwards. I don’t hear the motor run when I press it but my motor works cause it works when I turn off and on my car. Can you help me?
So for those having the same problems with their turn signals lights staying on, it is the TURN SIGNAL SWITCH that is the culprit and not the large N10 relay located at the front end of the windshield inside the engine bay???
I think it's just the signal. Because they still turn on but goes off if you dont hold it with your hand. So it's just the switch that's in the videos that is bad. Nothing in the dash. At least with mine its isnt

Dear Khalid, I'm not sure what your issue could be. However, an issue with similar symptoms to those you describe occur over here: mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w203/527256-w203-doesn-t-start-does-not-crank-3.html The driver replaced his ECU to resolve the issue
@@edward3105 been using ebay for 15 years, never had any serious issues but you can also go to a local car junkyard instead and pick that part yourself. See if you have an auto salvage yard in your area.
My mechanic is scared to do this because he thinks the airbag will go off even with the battery unhooked. Is this fear unfounded or actually something to worry about?
It will be fine he will just have to disconnect and leave for 15 to 20 mins to allow all copasitors in the vehicle to die down before starting. Once airbag is remove due to the classification it should be put in a strong metal box which is lockable, airbag facing up.
He was worried about the airbag having capacitors or something else in it holding charge; then I guess messing with the connectors setting it off or something. Or he was just lazy and didn't want to do it lol. I did end up doing it myself wit no issues :)
Here's a question for a/one who may have a *SUGGESTION* at least, as two d'ships can't figure this out at all... The turn signals work, but after "X" amount of time, they *STOP* working. No specific amount of clicks on/off...no certain mileage driven, nothing to associate with the *NOT* working of them, *BUT* if you turn the car off and restart it, they begin working again! No code shows up or gets stored to indicate what the issue is. Others on the web also are searching for help.
I know where is The "Problem" why switch is not standin in his position! don't need buy new one or second hand... you just need open Turn signal box 2.screw and change little black clips right to left , and left to right, and it will be like NEW! ;)

Is the replacement part same for both left and right hand drive car?

ask him what would trigger the airbag to go off if there is no electrical current running through the system
