A good writer like Kishimoto could still write amazing stories even if we know who survives, it would focus more on seeing how they grew and their own personal stories. Who knows, maybe he could add some suprises or two.

He shows up, puts up a fight, (this in itself is a feat and the thing he was infamous for), but Hashirama beats him, low difficulty. I imagined it would go just like this, Kakuzu throws hands but gets stomped.
It's a dope animation but it isn't quite lore accurate. Kakuzu hadn't researched the forbidden jutsu that gave him the extra hearts, and all that until, after he lost to Hashirama. Matter of fact, it seems it was this loss in this fight that pushed him to do so.

Masterfully done. Kakuzu is an Akatsuki beast, who bests Kisame mid-diff due to Nature Transformation advantage and the fact that Kisame has nothing in his arsenal to actually harm Kakuzu.
