They stop at the famous Maracas Beach, where the couple and Shaeeda’s mom and bonus dad indulged in one of the most iconic local dishes - bake and shark. With the ocean breeze and soft sand beneath their feet, it was a perfect way to start their foodie adventure. Bake and shark is a delicious fried flatbread sandwich filled with crispy fried shark, topped with a variety of condiments like pepper sauce, tamarind, and fresh veggies - a true Trinidadian delicacy.
They also had some authentic doubles from Sauce, a well-known spot for this tasty dish. Doubles, a street food favorite made of curried chickpeas between two pieces of soft fried dough, is a must-try for anyone visiting Trinidad. Bilal savored every bite, and Shaeeda couldn’t hide her excitement at sharing this beloved dish with him. It was a moment of cultural exchange and culinary delight.
Their journey didn’t stop there - they also made their way to the Queen’s Park Savannah, a popular evening hangout spot in Trinidad. At night, the Savannah comes alive with vibrant food stalls serving up some of the best local fast food Caribbean style. From cow heel soup to fried fish and chips, the options are endless. Shaeeda, Bilal, and the family enjoyed some pholouri, a fried dough snack made from split peas and served with a tangy tamarind sauce - another of Shaeeda’s favorites.
To cap off the perfect Trinidadian food experience, Shaeeda introduced Bilal to a fresh Jolie mango, a sweet and juicy variety that’s loved by locals. It was Bilal’s first time tasting this delicious fruit, and the look of surprise and enjoyment on his face said it all.

The sight of Queen's Park Savannah evokes many memories for me. After residing in the United States for over two decades, I had the pleasure of introducing my husband to my beloved homeland, Trinidad, last year. We stayed at the Hilton Hotel and frequently strolled to the Savannah, Maracas Beach. He appreciated the street food and the sights. But he found Tobago to be his favorite destination.

How can you congratulate someone who have a wife and marry another woman. I do not know which God Bilal is serving but I do not think it is the one that i am serving. God says he hates divorce. and if you leave your wife and marry another you are an adulterer. Bilal, sorry to say but the wife you have now is not yours, and your marriage is not approved by God. I know that people do not search the scriptures as God said, but in doing so you will find the truth. The human family twist around everything God said not to do.
