The beauty of Dishonored 2 is that there are so many ways to accomplish a given task. What I show herein, is simply MY take on a stealth-based playthrough. At no time do I claim that this is the only way, the best way or even the right way that things must be done. It is just MY way. Feel free to come up with your own solutions to getting around various obstacles. Just because I don't show something, doesn't mean you shouldn't do it or try it in your own game play. These videos are to assist, guide, inform and entertain. Use them at your own discretion.

30:55 when he said to far reach the building I was like oh crap. I'm doing a no powers ghost run. So far thanks to you're videos so far I have b en able to do this and the times you used you're powers I worked around it. For example at 30:40 you went on the roof... I went down snuck inside, upstairs to the right, knocked out 3 guards, jumped out the right window by the desk and kept to the very left untill I circled around to the cart. None the less you're videos have helped me in my no power ghost run I just thought outside of the box (or video) when you did us powers. Thanks a TON!!
Great walkthrough. Thanks. I was missing a ton. I didn't have the bone charms in my room on the boat & every time I jumped in the ocean I was attacked by fish. Maybe that is due to increased chaos because I killed some soldiers in mission 1. They were traitors, they had it coming. lol I didn't know that I would be judged harshly for killing them. So now I am trying to spare everyone but struggling. That is how I ended up here at your channel. Nice job! My husband thinks I am cheating, but I am not enjoying the game if I keep dying & killing people & missing stuff. I like games that let you know ahead of time what you are looking for, after the fact it's too late to keep looking. I like this game, but it's not as good as Prey by same company. That game was terrifying though. I never had a video game scare me so badly & yet I couldn't stop playing it.
Well I funny, handsome, intelligent...and did I mention modest? So watching my videos may almost be like cheating. :) In all seriousness though, I'm glad that you're finding the content on the channel to be helpful. Thanks for watching!
Ugh... I just realize how bad Blink is. I'm playing as Corvo, and only have 3 Runes right now, so I can't get to that spot at the end and knock out the guard for the helmet. Edit: Found a back way to the rooftop and strangled her.
Just get greater blink and you can get the same range with blink as far reach. I still prefer far reach and displace over blink to be honest, but blink is still awesome.
Doing my first playthrough with Emily, High Chaos, No Powers, All Collectibles (going for the Platinum on PS4). I'm so glad there's multiple ways of doing things...because without the use of Far Reach I get worried I won't be able to follow you...but it just takes some platforming instead. These videos have been great so far. Thanks.
Since you are doing a flesh and steel run, there is one of those on the channel. It is for Corvo, but without powers who you are playing as is irrelevant. There's a playlist for it.
Following your entire guide. First time playing and I am thankful for the money looting as it teaches me how to play the game and upgrade. You mention bonehards on the ship but your video goes from mission one to two missing that. I'll try and find on your channel. Thanks again.

Glad you're enjoying them Sebastian, and thank for the sub, I really appreciate it! There's still some more Dishonored content coming and the moment they drop the next game in the series, you can be sure it will make a prominent appearance on the channel. It is one a lot of people seem to enjoy. Have a great rest of your week.
Hello mrcodes I hope u remember me asking questions on the play through a bit ago but I realised something i would never go back to dishonoured 2 without your play through and now I’m a console speedruner
The guy in the hallway at 13:20 can also be taken down by sneaking up behind him and waiting for him to finish speaking, and grabbing him just after the civilian turns around to walk downstairs
11:45 I attempted this strategy, I kept getting caught due to the sleep dart not taking affect before I took out the last guy and it read 1 under spotted by enemies. So I just sleep dart all three WHICH DID WORK! idk who may replay this game now but that idea worked for me doing a no kill no notice playthrough.
what the hell i've been trying to figure out a good way to get those runes and bonecharms and whale bone outside the overseer office since i started playing. the best way i found was a bottle of chloroform but that never got all the people there. thanks man i had no idea you could do that.
Yeah, totally doesn't make sense. The first time I did it I just used pull object with far reach, but I finally got brave and started wondering just how close I could actually get... eventually I bit the bullet and just said screw it let's try and pull a sneaky snatch and grab and voila. It worked. I pondered it for about 10 minutes just looking and inching my way closer than backing up then closer then backing up testing the range of detection and it just works. Every time it works. Doesn't seem like to should, but it does. :) Glad you got something good out of your second video. ;)
...are you doing something outside the building around them or the civilians that is moving them off their position? Like even getting a semi-alert that makes them off those initial points?
...or even making noise in the building? Just trying to figure out what be different. Once I sorted out getting that to work, it has been really reliable or I wouldn't have included it in the vid. So I'm wondering what the difference is opposed to everything I'm doing leading up to that point...
Really confused at some points here: why buy incindiary upgrade if you are just using them to shoot bloodfly nests? Why do you consider it "wasting" bullets when shooting nests if you are doing a nonlethal nondetection playthrough anyways?
Oh man I always miss that little area where the black market key is. I've wondered where the heck it was, lol. I've also always bought the damn treasure map. You'd think I would've at least checked to see if the stuff was there without the map during my Corvo playthru, duh!
I have to use a sleep dart on all 3 guards at the light wall, if i use it on 2 and grab the 1 pushing the guy it gives me a spotted even tho i grabbed him and wasnt scene. Maybe my games just bugged but if others are having an issue with being spotted there just use a dart
It does work, but it's a bit flaky. Sometimes you can far-grab something, sometimes it just won't come to you. Probably a line of sight thing. I couldn't for the life of me grab the rune/charm out front of the overseer's office, but I could grab a later rune from in between a bunch of guards.
A few questions: Being spotted is only once the lightning bolt fills up? Why do I have some different titled bone charms then you but I grabbed the same ones? Would equipping any bone charms effect me following your guide?
Since they added mission select, do you have to go through each mission in sequence or can you pick them individually for the clean hands/ghostly trophy?
The Ghostly trophy is a "Mission" trophy. That means that is awarded to you at the end of whatever mission you choose to get Ghostly on. The Clean Hands and Shadow trophies, as I understand them, are playthrough based. Meaning that they are awarded to you for successfully completing an entire playthrough under the conditions that they required and are awarded at the end of said playthrough. To the question I think you're asking. If you met the requirements for Clean Hands and Shadow on every mission but, mission 4, I don't believe you could simply finish out mission 9, then go back and load up mission four, "ace" it and get the trophy/achievement. I say "I don't believe" as there is no way for me to test it to give you a definitive answer. This is just my understanding of how the mechanics of getting Shadow and Clean Hands works. You can always give it a shot, but I don't believe it will work.
Thank you for your answer. Since I asked the question I've been searching on Google and seems like a lot of people have the same answer (tho not conclusive). Ultimately, most ppl recommend to do the complete playthrough with a lot of quick savings. To be safe I'm gonna try the whole game on my second run (for shadow and clean hands) :)
Honestly if you follow along with the videos you'll be safe. I made a point with these to be as thorough as possible. ... just make sure you follow my number one rule... Save early, save often. :)
Yeah they are all easier on NG+ when you have more powers, runes, bonecharms, etc. to work with. The reason I am not doing this as a NG+ playthrough is that I figured I'd get backlash over it being "easy-mode" and people would bitch about the video.
I have a question. Let's say that I played this game without watching your videos (going in blind) and there's one enemy out of nowhere spotted me. So if that happens, could restart the previous checkpoint and try again? For getting the Ghostly/Shadow/Clean Hands trophy.
I play primarily on console, PS4 to be exact, but I wish there was an FOV slider on console. Don't take it the wrong way, I love the default FOV and it works just fine for me, but I would love the ability to change the FOV in the future next gen consoles since they're going to be quiet powerful.
MrCodeslinger Probably got to do with how FOV could potentially affect graphic performance. Plus, it's not really a necessary feature to be honest. The most important features for console are x axis and y axis sensitivity, HUD customization, sound, brightness, and difficulty settings as well. Still, I wish there was an FOV slider so we can get to see and process more of the environment at any given time.
@@triumvir_hunt i find that the ghost of the dead Empress, Jemima[?], Corvo's dead lover, will tell you the morality of a person if you equip & right click the Stone Heart at a person\ guard\certain specific areas. She really tells you some 'hometruths' about most of the people of Karacana - the cruelty, the corruption, the evil acts performed in the name of greed. It's quite amazing how they gave a story to each person you see... but they're not all bad... just most of them. I read the mind of the Hive server and he was ordering the bloodflies to attack me as Jemima was telling me about his 'great mind' but now his brain has been turned into mush. Sometimes you can 'read' a rat or one of those nasty fish with the razor sharp jaws but usually you just get a story of how much Jemima used to love to visit this once great city.
I like 'em both. Plus once you get into NG+ you get all of their powers so it really just comes down to personal preference at that point vs. what powers are better than others.
@@danielthedragondemon i found them in the Steam demo edition but as soon as i bought the full game I had to uninstall the demo because it was still named as 'Dishonoured 2 Demo'. i tried playing it with my demo saves and nothing changed but didn't want to waste hours of stealth\ no assassin kills only to find out the game was bugged so, to be safe? i uninstalled the entire demo and the rest of the full game download. cleaned the registry, defragged the SSD, re-downloaded\installed it and the game runs fine BUT no more bonecharms from the demo. i gotta admit i was playing the 3 levels in the demo edition for about 6 months cos I just loved trying playing diff combos but then i noticed it was selling for £9 [about $14] so i am deffo getting the other DLCs for Morgan, etc. this is a classic game with so much replayability. i haven't enjoyed a game this much since I played Bioshock and System Shock 2 as well as Planescape:Torment! and the obvious classics such as the first Deus Ex from 2001 and the first two Thief games w Garrett. Classic!!!
Yes. I find the best method with bonecharms is to try to keep all the Bonecrafting abilities you want to use except for the last 2 and save before trying to get all 4 of a particular type [gambling with 4 of the same abilities on more than 2 bonecharms when you only have medium chance of success isn''t worth it until you have gotten that last 'Bonecrafting spell' to guarantee level 3 bonecharm doesn't corrupt\and level 4 only has a low chance of corrupting on the next mission] If it becomes corrupted and the corruption makes it weaker then reload and try again. I have a LOT of whalebone after creating 2 x4 level bonecharms - each bonecharm has all same abilities ; one has 4 increased sneak speed which makes me almost as fast as running wo stealth and the other bonecharm has 4 bonuses to choke out enemy so I can very swiftly KO a target now. I found a lot of useless bonecharms meant for violent play so I sacrificed them for whalebones unes and ability. Sacrificing a decent bonecharm for 1 useful ability and some whalebones une makes it worth risking going for that 4 level bonecharm in a later mission and also gives you a chance to buy more bonecharm slots. Being able to KO a target in a very short time means I can make very good use of Bend Time spell and moving so fast in stealth is truly useful. Also, sacrifice the corrupted bonecharms as they'll net you some useful stuff. They are very useful for the next mission.
Odin Bårdsen nah controller is smaller than a keyboard and u don't nesceserily idk how to spell it, need 2 hands and sometimes for keyboard u need 2 hands not including the one for ur mouse
he should have jumped onto the roof and drop on the guy who's not moving to instantly knock him out, then proceed to strangle the other guy, since dropping on enemies is silent and instant it gives you a huge window
IMO they are about equal once you get used to their abilities. It is more of a personal preference and once you finish your first playthrough and get into NG+ you have access to all of the abilities so you can mix and match to your liking.
If it works the way others have in the past, I'd say probably not. Given the scope of how many bone charms there are to collect, and the fact that you cannot collect them all in a single playthrough... missing these two isn't that big of a deal IMO. Don't sweat it too much. They aren't game-changing bone charms by any means.
A couple other people have suggested that. Just not sure what the set up would look like to qualify? Just as fast as possible from start to finish? Any thoughts on what would be interesting to you? Care if requires killing or power usage?

Yeah they are all easier on NG+ when you have more powers, runes, bonecharms, etc. to work with. The reason I am not doing this as a NG+ playthrough is that I figured I'd get backlash over it being "easy-mode" and people would bitch about the video.
I have a question.
Let's say that I played this game without watching your videos (going in blind) and there's one enemy out of nowhere spotted me. So if that happens, could restart the previous checkpoint and try again?
For getting the Ghostly/Shadow/Clean Hands trophy.
Yes. Save early, save often.
did everything like you did but cant shoot the cables on the elevator the bolts just dont work and I have all the upgrades
shall we gather for whiskey and cigars.
indeed, i believe so.
Is it just me or does he sound abit like nicolas cage at some points 😂
He does now that you said it, yeah! 😁
I know I’m late but I’ve started following your guides, and on this mission I missed one blue print😢
How do you spend your runes ? i see you picking it up but not how you spend it
I play primarily on console, PS4 to be exact, but I wish there was an FOV slider on console. Don't take it the wrong way, I love the default FOV and it works just fine for me, but I would love the ability to change the FOV in the future next gen consoles since they're going to be quiet powerful.
Other games have the FOV slider on the console, I don't know why Arkane chose to not implement it in D2's console versions.
15:38 you can also sneak up behind him and take him out by choking him :D
Every time I try that, I get swarmed by the bloodflies around him
never happened to me

i find that the ghost of the dead Empress, Jemima[?], Corvo's dead lover, will tell you the morality of a person if you equip & right click the Stone Heart at a person\ guard\certain specific areas.
Why not use Dark Vision? Does it void the achievements?
THANK UUUUUU
You're very welcome Charlie. Thanks for watching!
I’m punching in 714 and it’s not opening. Why?
Do you need all the blue charms to unlock the safe? Somebody pls tell me
If you get spotted then reload your game to your last save, do you still get the trophy for Ghostly? I think you do but I’m not sure,
Yes you do!
Which character did you like the most cuz I liked corvo more than Emily
I like 'em both. Plus once you get into NG+ you get all of their powers so it really just comes down to personal preference at that point vs. what powers are better than others.
MrCodeslinger yea that's true
How do you have infinite crossbow ammo?????
Bone charms 1&2 were not in my room on the Dreadful Whale. I replayed it multiple times and they are nowhere to be seen. What gives?
It's only in the limited edition
@@danielthedragondemon
i found them in the Steam demo edition but as soon as i bought the full game I had to uninstall the demo because it was still named as 'Dishonoured 2 Demo'. i tried playing it with my demo saves and nothing changed but didn't want to waste hours of stealth\ no assassin kills only to find out the game was bugged so, to be safe? i uninstalled the entire demo and the rest of the full game download.
cleaned the registry, defragged the SSD, re-downloaded\installed it and the game runs fine
BUT
no more bonecharms from the demo.
i gotta admit i was playing the 3 levels in the demo edition for about 6 months cos I just loved trying playing diff combos but then i noticed it was selling for £9 [about $14] so i am deffo getting the other DLCs for Morgan, etc.
this is a classic game with so much replayability. i haven't enjoyed a game this much since I played Bioshock and System Shock 2 as well as Planescape:Torment! and the obvious classics such as the first Deus Ex from 2001 and the first two Thief games w Garrett. Classic!!!
i cant read the scripture in mission 2 did everything you did but it cant read it and wont open...
How did u know the code for rune 9 in the safe
It says in the note
i pre ordered but have ni binehcarms on desk? do they stay there after this mission?
Yes. I find the best method with bonecharms is to try to keep all the Bonecrafting abilities you want to use except for the last 2 and save before trying to get all 4 of a particular type [gambling with 4 of the same abilities on more than 2 bonecharms when you only have medium chance of success isn''t worth it until you have gotten that last 'Bonecrafting spell' to guarantee level 3 bonecharm doesn't corrupt\and level 4 only has a low chance of corrupting on the next mission]
If it becomes corrupted and the corruption makes it weaker then reload and try again.
I found a lot of useless bonecharms meant for violent play so I sacrificed them for whalebones
unes and ability.
Sacrificing a decent bonecharm for 1 useful ability and some whalebones
une makes it worth risking going for that 4 level bonecharm in a later mission and also gives you a chance to buy more bonecharm slots.
Being able to KO a target in a very short time means I can make very good use of Bend Time spell and moving so fast in stealth is truly useful.
Also, sacrifice the corrupted bonecharms as they'll net you some useful stuff.
They are very useful for the next mission.
Uh quick question are you using a pc with an Xbox controller or is it an Xbox?
PC + controller. You can see the details in the About tab of the page.
I dont see any red or orange building the house is green
you are so dam good
Why do you play on PC with a controller? Isn't it much easier with a mouse?
Just how I roll. I'm like to contrary.
Odin Bårdsen nah controller is smaller than a keyboard and u don't nesceserily idk how to spell it, need 2 hands and sometimes for keyboard u need 2 hands not including the one for ur mouse
Axel i realise this now
Ah yes the silver IGGNUT. Are you by any chance LisDexic?
Is there any reason not to meele the bloodfly nests?
Not really, it can just get messy if you don't do it correctly.
23:47 just domino
he should have jumped onto the roof and drop on the guy who's not moving to instantly knock him out, then proceed to strangle the other guy, since dropping on enemies is silent and instant it gives you a huge window
or just avoid altogether
Pourquoi mon coffre s’ouvre pas 😮
so from what ive seen playing emily is a lil bit harder than playing as her father.
IMO they are about equal once you get used to their abilities. It is more of a personal preference and once you finish your first playthrough and get into NG+ you have access to all of the abilities so you can mix and match to your liking.
where are the bonecharms on the dreadful whale?
If you don't have the pre-order specific DLC, they won't be there. If you do, they are in your state room on the desk in a little open box.
MrCodeslinger Thanks, do you know if the pre order bonus will ever become available in the future?
If it works the way others have in the past, I'd say probably not. Given the scope of how many bone charms there are to collect, and the fact that you cannot collect them all in a single playthrough... missing these two isn't that big of a deal IMO. Don't sweat it too much. They aren't game-changing bone charms by any means.
2024 anyone?
you should do a speedrun
A couple other people have suggested that. Just not sure what the set up would look like to qualify? Just as fast as possible from start to finish? Any thoughts on what would be interesting to you? Care if requires killing or power usage?
how do you change the fov on console for dishonoured 2
No idea, running an PC with a controller. Sorry Destin.
...a quick Google tells me it isn't something supported on the consoles... wish I had a better answer for ya.
ok thanks anyway
