It's fun to watch the stages of the enemy plane's thinking, "Ok I get him here, he's smarter than I thought, oh shit I gotta RUN." 😂 Phenomenal montage! 👏👏

Just started playing again after 4 years, and these clips remind of me of why I loved this game so much in the first place. 109 clip was peak with that flap management and snap rolling. Great stuff man

    Great skills !
I know I ask a lot, but do you think you could do that kind of videos with a few vocal tips and trick (the best speed, why you're going that way in that special case, etc) ?
Still, thanks for the amazing content 🙂

I see some improvement in your evasive flying! Seems like you are more confident in your setups. Good job :)

I wish more ppl still did montages like this. They are just fun to live vicariously through. Great flying, and may the sun always be at your back whilst you descend from the clouds upon those who oppose like an eagle 🦅

Thumbs up if 90% of your games are 5 min climbing then dying at the first head on

OK, I get these are handpicked and all but damn, watching people like you or smigol, or DEFYN almost makes me quit the game for good. It's been over 5 years and I feel like I'm not only not improving but I am most likely one of the unlucky souls in this video... fuuuuh those were some good kills.

I wonder how these guys shoot so well, I'm not bad at energy fighting, etc, I can reverse but I frequently miss my shoots after getting the right position, these guys just snipe everything. I don't know if the footages are choosen between wider options, which enhances this feeling (not that they are not good). But honestly I would like to know how to shoot like that.

I’m no professional by any means but it’s pretty much just consistency over time of having a full understanding of whatever their targeting distance is set to (400-600m) then having the full understanding of distance to target anywhere from (.30km-1km) and knowing how long or short they have to lead.

It's definitely an experience thing. This montage shows the shots I hit where the enemy instantly goes down, which looks the best. I still miss these reversals sometimes but yea I picked the ones that were the most fun to watch :)

@MacWithGun thanks for the answers guys. Yeah, sometimes I can land snipes, but usually the fight lasts longer because I don't hit that fast, unless the enemy is very slow. I fly 109s the most, practicing on Yaks to force myself to force myself to kill with less ammo used (helps to train the eye).

you just need to be consiously thinking about range, deflection, etc for a while, then it becomes muscle memory
especially with low velocity guns like german cannons

Hi, first of all, sorry for digging up this old comment. But I wanted to give my opinion assuming you also play with >100ms. Ok, here we go, frequency: when playing with high ping (even in games with good lag compensation) you should look for "HIGH Burst Frequency + ANY Damage" or "LOW Burst Frequency + HIGH Damage". Translated for air battles in War Thunder: weapons with a high rate of fire, which give you more certainty that your shots will be registered, and/or weapons with a low rate of fire, but when a hit is registered it will cause terminal damage. These German cannons do not fit into any of the Meta options for those who play lagged. Also, it could be a lack of experience in leading. Try using vertical targeting in a few games and see if there is a difference, especially on deflected shots, then disable vertical targeting and try to remember "when you think you've led enough, lead a bit more". One more thing, with vertical targeting enabled the cannons and machine guns have the same convergence point, which helps to concentrate the shots at the distance you set when you spawned. In any case, the important thing is to be patient and not repeat the same things that go wrong for you. Best of luck...!
