Im sorry that this video isnt super high quality or anything, wanted to get my genuine thoughts out on the current game state, and sorry if i sound angry but I'm extremely disappointed in the way they are handling the endgame at the moment. It's important to say what's wrong with the game as we know they listen in HSR. Edit: yeah we are even more cooked, way to go hoyoverse.
For me at least I like this format because most HSR TH-camrs have all these shiny and fast edits and they're too stimulating so this is a good change for me and no one is blaming you man the state of the game is not good at all the old characters are barely playable it's so sad to see
I do want to tell you though HP increase CAN be a good method of difficulty increase as long as there is not a short timer associated with it. If they gave us the old amount of cycles back I feel like it would be fine because more HP means you have to survive longer which will eventually force people to run sustains but the issue is the timer does not go well with HP increase because let's be honest, a monkey could beat MoC12 but there isn't really any skill ceiling in this game, at all, there are a few small ult niches and DDD and action advance tricks you can do but I would consider Escape from Tarkov for example, a much harder game than this. Or Tekken 8 ranked, there is not a single star rail player that would get a single round on me in tekken 8, it's not a hard game because at the end of a day it IS a stat check. Whereas Tekken 8 is a HARD SKILL check.
@@Splinnee HSR is literally just a 3 button game (Basic Attack, Skill and Ultimate) they intentionally made it this easy so even a kid can start playing this game but if the standard gameplay is that low is it really that enjoyable for everyone? And I think we're already seeing the consequences of this already with the HP inflation albeit they can solve it otherwise but they have to risk their money missing a cent
I know cause I'm usually like you but you know hsr is a game other than the stories and quests the only game you're playing are the endgame which is fine. So when I have nothing to do I liked to retry the floor over and over again let's say from 1 star at floor 12 to 2 star. Or maybe I'll try a different team. Most of the time even tho I won't get 3 star I would finished in like turn 19 or 18. But the state of the game right now even with my best team I need at least 7 turn to just do the first floor and by the end I would be left with 13 maybe 14 turn left if I'm lucky. And it's not cause my character just turned weaker no my character still do the same damage as before just the effing enemy become a slog to play against with their high hp. There's no skill or Strat that'll make my character somehow better just the enemy won't die. I'm just really worried that my favorite character will be benched just cause of this inflated HP cause they're just not usable anymore compared to newer characters. I had to pull for Acheron a character that I liked but really don't care for cause I'm scared that I couldn't finish the endgame at the rate this game is going. Especially when I'm not planning to pull for either aglea or Herta cause I don't care for them as I do Acheron. So balancing playing the character I liked and somehow survive the meta is so effing hard.
It's not about 80 jades, it's about feeling accomplishment after you grind for your character for months and managed to beat the hardest level of MoC with them, only for them to make the bosses harder with no unique mechanics, punishing you for not pulling the recent banner character
It takes over a year of full endgame clears to "make back" the cost of one 5* character, double that for a guaranteed limited 5*. It's a total scam lmao.

HP inflation is the laziest type of difficulty bump. Boss Aventurine is the last boss I actually struggled but not rage quit because of the HP. His mechanics and gamble type of gameplay makes it more forgiving and kindoff fun to play against.

HP inflation is the only way HYV can increase the difficulty of content, when 90% or more of the playerbase are absolute garbage. The last time they tried to make an interesting boss, boss Aventurine got removed from various game modes because he was "too hard".

I have extremely good relics and I'm still geting dog walked like it's not even funny. I could at lease clear the last moc with all stars but now I can hardly survive and definitely not get 3 stars. On floor 11 i got one star and I cant even clear floor 12. Extremely low spender close to f2p here.
You basically described HSR in a Nutshell when it comes to gameplay. HSR has gameplay issues and the worst storytelling I have ever seen within gaming. Yet it gets praised by everyone...just tons of brainless children and/or fanbois I guess.
The characters are VERY specific for f2p:(5* e0s0-e0s1 all 4* e2+) Phase 1 •Feixiao •Hunt march/moze/topaz •robin •aventurine(161 spd(?)fu xuan and huohuo would get the job done too) Or •Acheron (s1 required) (insane relics required) •pela/silver wolf •jiaoqiu •Fu xuan or aventurine) Phase 2 •Rappa/firefly/spd tuned himeko •ruan mei •Harmony TB(or fugue when release) •Gallagher/Lingsha These will easily clear with average builds. The only other option than THIS specific characters are extreme hyperinvest,eidolons or/and ddd/qpq/wind set abuse. It needs to be called is our f2ps meta slaves/being p2w check, because it's just not fun at all.
Trust me ..higher hp is not the most disgusting thing hoyo has ever implanted on a boss ..wait until they have more res, more def, and oh ..idk ..a weird mechanic that can be weaken by a specific skill from a specific character or characters that has something something will be buffed against that boss
People saying this is "ok", needs to get their eyes checked because this is not ok. We're only a year and a half into this game's life span, and we're already getting these crazy HP inflation. Imagine 3.X or 4.X, by that point if we continue to increase the HP 1.X characters will just not be useable unless you have E6's and even then they might still not even clear if we go down this path. Sooner or later, we're going to have elites that has 5M HP and I'm genuinely concerned with the future of HSR if we continue to go down this path. We said this with Genshin, and we'll say it with HSR. Adding HP doesn't make it harder, it only makes it more annoying.
5 mil on the boss which shares hp? You guys are so misleaded it's crazy.. Look at 0 cycle by kingyuan and acheron, this boss made for erudition\acheron characters
@@teenagesilver6512yeah this boss wasnt crazy hard. I just used the basic a basic fire fly team with gallagher cause I dont have lingsha. Some optimization with his ult was required to switch all the enemies to give buffs. Lingsha likely would have made this a cake walk. This boss is probably pretty good as it isnt as brute force able. You actually interact with the mechanics I also have 0 eidolons or sig light cones on that side.

So the problem with these companies is that this is always the pattern they do. They make a new game that people love and enjoy and get people addicted to the game, next 2.0 comes and they think on how to part people with their money they already got e6s5 seele, dhil and jingliu how can we get their money. So they add more HP to monsters but make new characters deal the HP difference to their damage or they added a mechanic that can only really be beaten by using an on element character like Safeguard. 3.0 is the milking stage and when they start developing another new game as this one goes into "milking the addicts" phase as all the new/ftp/light spenders are slowly fizzling out due to powercreep. A lot of people wont be able to quit because they feel like they have invested too much time and/or money into the game and just play it because it's now part of their daily routine. Now as for myself, I will not be purchasing the next monthly battle pass or supply pass, I have been buying both since the game came out and I have purchased all the "First time bundles" which is a fair bit of money but it's getting to the point where I'm not getting back my moneys worth anymore as time goes on and I am incredibly excited for other games coming out soon like Monster Hunter Wilds and Stalker 2 I need to play through and the new Final Fantasy game and by the time I've done all that the I will feel like I am too far behind to continue with star rail and likely just stop playing anyway, so pre-emptively stopping my payments for 2.7 and depending on how specifically well "Blade" does in 3.0 will depend whether I drop the game entirely, I refuse to play a character or team I do not care about. That's like me using the Sword and Shield in monster hunter, I'm just not going to not going to do that because I want to and am going to use the Charge Blade and if I can't beat it with the Charge Blade I would find a way or I would just quit the game and play something else luckily in monster hunter you can 100% the game with any weapon. Acheronification is the best term to describe Hsr power creep. Even in 2.0 came out there was nothing crazy. Black Swan and sparkle but then 2.1 we got Acheron and Aventurine and after Robin and Boothill and then every 1.0 character just can’t breathe.
Well probably blame the player who won't want to pull even if the character is on the same tier. They keep wanting new character to be better than the last one. Look how many doomposting whenever new character come out?
Sorry but what did you expect? Did you expect the 1.0 chars to be as powerful as 2.0 chars? This wouldn't make sense. Mihoyo knows exactly what they are doing- It is your duty to pull smart and save your pulls instead of getting every new char without a plan. Especially as an f2p, you should have a plan for your pulls so you won't struggle.

Welcome to Honkai, people never understand hoyos "generosity" is not without reason in hsr, in hi3rd they feel comfy just tossing 5 starts at people exactly due to the fact most of them become obsolete by year 2, now one year into hsr units from 1.0 can keep up, but man do they feel worse, now with a new path and we know already sunday is better then both sparkle and tingyn smooshed into one unit this won't disapear.
They're powercreeping way too fast. And people were pissed at the Genshin side of things because of Arlecchino powercreeping Hu Tao. But... that at least happened a few years later, and it's not like she can't still clear the content.
People are actually blind about this and continue to shower praises on HSR and other gacha games. Meanwhile in some games like Genshin you can still cheese endgame content without too much meta characters.
@@rosaria8384 Another good thing about Genshin is how useful the old 4* supports still are. It makes it so that you can get to playing your new favorite characters right away because you probably already have their team ready to go with Bennet, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Sucrose, and Fischl. It makes the game more F2P friendly than HSR. Old investments are still good and useful.
@@shutup1037 There is no such demand. Hoyo simply doesn't want HSR profit numbers to drop even slightly, thus they make characters soo strong that players have no other choice but to pull. It is more like a blackmail - either you pull, or you won't clear content anymore (which will invalidate all the previous progress the player made). I despise Mihoyo.

My team keep progressing getting stronger and stronger every patch, yet, every single patch I keep struggling, like what the fuck is this powercreep ? It's not like they make new mobs and then they're strong asf, but they just give old mobs more HP. F*ck off. That, combine with the MASSIVE powercreeping unit keep releasing, this game days are numbered. If a unit release and basically only has like a few patches to live before getting powercrept to oblivion then the sales will go down drastically, then because sale goes down, then they have to make stronger unit, and this shit will keep spiralling down until it cannot be saved anymore cause it's already fucked, literally the same path like HI3, rampaging powercreep
Typical gacha games. The only gacha that actually trying to cater to casual players are Epic Seven. You can get almost every meta characters there because it's easy to farm diamonds. only issue is equipment substats rng but it's not big deal as you can still clear all content
@@yololoyo7379 Arknights and everything Yostar(Blue Archive etc) is also really good when it comes to game balancing. Old units are still usable and still have their own thing that they are the only ones that are good in that niche
yeah, people will only have an easy/decent time if they have COUNTER picks. other than that you will feel the power of HP inflation. that's about it, literally when I pulled aventurine e0 to get a complete ipc follow up with mid tier offset relics and he easily gave me free 2 cycles worth against svarog because I couldn't beat the whole floor 12 in 20 cycles. either you need to keep up with the best of the best meta, or get extremely good relics just to unlock clears with strategically and specifically viable 4 star only comps.. and we already know how difficult and hellish the relics part that even people who run 5 stars are getting there ass fucked and complain.
i'd argue that superbreak is worse, given how well it performs while also being way easier to get going compared to other two top teams (acheron/foxy) both relic and unit wise. my e1s0 firefly team (with e1 ruan) feels way better to play and often performs better than my e2s1 acheron without a fox guy (lost a 50/50) on half-assed builds and with gallachad instead of lingsha (so it's not even at its peak - with lingsha and tingyun it would've been even more busted). so to match/outperform a team with two free units (hmc, galla), no signatures, and only two e1s, i have to get way better artifacts and pull for a very specific units (i.e. replace sparkle with sunday e0s1 at least, and get pink fox guy on a rerun) even at e2s1. i feel so stupid for investing into acheron now lol
Nah people have to stop putting it on Acheron, obviously her AoE is crazy and her ST is solid, but she isn’t the one to make Hoyo go crazy with HP inflation. Superbreak and Firefly are the big reason, because the damage floor SB is so high the only way to combat it is HP inflation. Think about it, Superbreak has a limit it can go to based on toughness bar damage dealt and debuffs on the enemy. It’s also so easy to build around due to only needing Break Effect, with Spd and for some characters Atk being useful, so we have ease of use + ease to build + high damage floor. The only ways they can combat SB without killing it is HP inflation or toughness inflation, the latter would make you SB less often so “less fun” so clearly the devs went with HP inflation. You get to see all the big funny SB numbers over and over and over again, so fun! Until you realize the enemy has 5mil hp. Just look at how much they shill for Firefly/Break and you’d see right away where all the issues with the game since her release are all coming from.
I agree with you. That's why I was lowkey upset when they nerfed the Aventurine boss. He actually has an interesting mechanic with the dice. But the moment we got a challenging boss, people complained, which will obviously make the devs more hesitant to introduce challenging bosses.
tbh, there is no challenging fight in hsr. If you have all the pieces, everything is a breeze. Aventurine boss? Bh team jingliu team and fua team can clear it. Those new circus enemies? Rappa is the answer. and so on. the challenge comes from managing resources which is rendered obsolete if you whale. there is no true challenge in hsr.
Aventurine’s boss in the story was also just HP and damage inflation though compared to other bosses at the same level. Yeah he has those unique gimmicks but it’s hard to enjoy them when it takes half an hour to beat him, and so many supports become unviable against him. I know because I spent half an hour beating him day 1 using Misha. No other boss before took me close to that same amount, or made me run double sustain since I lacked any limited ones at the time. If them making bosses double in HP in MOC is bad I don’t see how it’s suddenly a good thing when it’s for story. A lot of boss gimmicks in this game really just exist to encourage certain archetypes. Aventurine’s gimmick is fun until you’re using Sparkle and she literally can’t do anything to win the gamble. Hoolay’s gimmick is fun when using Feixiao or Yunli but when not using a FUA team it’s literally just a way to make your team take more damage. Sure, they’re fun when you have the proper units to exploit the buffs, but without them, it’s practically the same as stat inflation Even in Echo of War the inflation is crazy, it takes me like 90 seconds to fight Cocolia or the Doomsday Beast, and like over 4 minutes to beat Sunday or Feixiao
If we talk about MOC Aventurine then no, that fight has both stalling, RNG and big HP and unless your substain and DPS can do Blast/AOE or you have Boothill and just ignore the dice phase, the fight is ass. AS Aventurine is actually fun though since dice point are shared between everyone.
Imagine pulling E6S5 Jingliu... If someone spent that much money, they should be able to use their favorite character till the end of time. This sucks.
An E6S5 Jingliu is still usable... is what I would like to say, if there was actually an Ice-weak boss in MoC. It makes me sad that an E0S1 Firefly will perform better than her in most scenarios.
True! Like an E2 Lunae, which was the holy grail before, is now weaker than an E0S0 Acheron, and now Firefly! Man shame for the F2P sucker who saved multiple patches just for Lunae (it was me😭)
I mean, I enjoy modern yugioh, it has its problems but I wouldn't say it's ruined. The only problems currently is the price and the strengths of 1 card combos. But, at least yugioh releases support for older themes and archetypes to allow them to compete in the modern game. E.g. new nekroz support etc.
HSR feels REALLY punishing if you ever lost 50-50s on limited, meta character banners. Missed out on Firefly and have been suffering ever since. Couldn't even pull Rappa because I needed Aventurine. It's getting ridiculous at this point. My builds are good too, and it is NOT helping just because I don't have some META DEFINING SPECIFIC TEAMS built.
I didn’t go for Feixiao because i needed Robin and now i can feel the inconveniences that come with not having her. If i go for her i need to hope she doesn’t rerun with a new 3.X DPS, or else i will miss out on the new must-have unit again unless i spend money to get both. I also unfortunately lost 50/50 on Rappa, which also feels bad. I’ve been playing since day one and managed to pull most characters, so i used to not really experience the HP inflation issue. Little did i know it would only take not having two new characters to feel like i completely fell out of the loop…
i think the main issue is, them locking in game jade rewards, behind these highly inflated hps i know its supposed to be the endgame, but that doesn't mean it should only allow the top meta teams to get full rewards. I think genshin does it best, they have insanely inflated hp bosses, but they are present in the overworld, and only give an achievement on beating, meanwhile stuff like abyss can still be cleared by 4 star teams provided you have good builds adding insanely buffed bosses, to let giga min maxers with meta teams to have fun with, is fine but don't lock behind crucial jade/primo rewards behind those, that are lifeline of f2p players.
I cleared all endgame modes with 1 star until recently. I dont get 3 wishes per month. whatever. it doesnt matter. the game is getting kinda boring with each new patch. I recently pulled some of the meta chars cos in fact I liked them and went to full clear on auto.... it doesnt feel like I accomplished something.
@@ixirion most non-casual players make their own fun with this game, i've been trying to true 0 cycle consistently since I managed to get my first one a couple cycles ago and have been having a blast I can see casual players losing interest very quickly though, you're stuck between not being able to clear or pulling meta units and pressing auto. At the end of the day, it doesn't really feel like MoC at least has enough variety or interesting gameplay elements for casuals to have fun, only for the sweats to have fun speed tuning and team building to 0 cycle.

There's over 10 bosses that encourage you to play around different mechanics and playstyles, from FUA with Hoolay to the new boss that essentially buffs you as long as you attack the smaller Bananadvisors once; granted the early ones are much simpler but you see them less in MoC nowadays and you'll keep on seeing new bosses and variety as time goes by. I feel like "casuals" have certain expectations they took from the community where they see the whales and think they should also get 0 cycles or 3* every patch even when not pulling for most of the new characters which is just not how the gacha space works. Once they lower their expectations and realize they aren't losing anything by not completing MoC 12 then they can find fun in other areas. ( you lose 10 pulls in a YEAR if you just 1* Moc 12). Personally, the events are fun, the story is engaging and the characters can be interesting, I don't need to find meaning in my fun through the expectations of others big spenders, that's when it stops being fun.
I agree with what you're saying man. I was able to clear this MOC but it was down to the wire with the last floor. Just bumping up a boss's HP is the laziest way to make it harder. Honestly, I feel like five-stars should barely be taken into account when scaling endgame content. All these modes should be able to be reasonably cleared by two teams of four stars.
That's the problem. The number of 4* is outclassed by number of 5*. Lot of 4* also dont function that good with average relic stats. I only still can advance because I have 3 latest dps, while 4* are basically unusable
The outcome of your endgame battles shouldn't be decided by the number of limited 5* you have, but by time and effort put into the game :< I agree with you 100%, 4* should be enough, and there should be also more of therm
I agree with you conpletetly man, and it's what scares me about the future of this game. While i do have a Firefly team, my Yunli team is completely outclassed by Fexiao and the possible new units coming up, and I fear with the health pools rising due to the overpowered characters I won't be able ro compete soon. Which is frustrating because I don't want Fexiao or Acheron, but the game feels like it's pressuring me to get them due to the nature of the absurd HP scaling of enemies (And mind you this is a Yunli with Aventurine, Tingyun, and S1 Sparkle by her side) And people will tell me to build a better team, but I just can't. I lost my 50/50 for Robin (Second banner) and Topaz (Second banner) on previous banners, which has completely stunted my damage output for the follow up team I'd like to create
No kidding! I am extremely lucky I got Acheron and Aventurine this patch, because before I got them, I could barely advance on MoC at all with my usual teams!
I think yunli is still completely fine in the current meta. Feixiao probably wouldn't do you any better without robin. Feixiao without robin isnt busted, just good, and imo shes not good enough to pull in this case.
Yunli isn't necessarily "outclassed" by Feixiao, they just fill different niches. Yunli preforms way better than Feixiao in Pure Fiction. Feixiao is arguably more versatile but Yunli's still very good. Did you get the free Dr Ratio from patch 1.6? Because he's still very strong for follow up teams.
Im just losing motivation to play the game at this point. I can clear but the insane buffs enemies getting every patch and how they're making moc apocalyptic shadow buffs for specific niche is just ruining it for me. Losing 2 50/50 and getting 2 yanqings this week doesn't help either lel. Might just stop playing as its not been that fun for me lately kek.
Yes, games are supposed to be fun...HSR is just pure stress when it comes to its gameplay...If it wasn't for the good story, I would've quit this game already.
I solve the issue by not getting the last star every 2 weeks ( it's impossible for me to full 36/12 star anyway). Since HSR is only a side game while i focus on steam games, i've been so chill for the past year
As far as I can tell, it's gonna cater even more to Erudition characters. I'm glad that makes my Argenti stronger, but those who didn't pull him or Jade will probably just rely on Himeko and Herta even more. The new 5 star Herta will probably be amazing for it. Argenti came out just before PF and is only now starting to lose ground, and he was designed for it. I'm sure The Herta will benefit greatly from the PF changes.
They need to bring the HP pool back down and let people accept that clearing MoC with Acheron is just a subtle unofficial easy mode. The only time you should start increasing the HP pool is when at least 50% of the current character roster can easily 0 cycle clear, not just 1-3 characters. Right now, what's gonna happen is that people are gonna feel tired of having to pick the newest character every single time they come out just to clear because they make it impossible otherwise. They think this will incentivize people to swipe their cards, but that's such a temporary solution because nobody is going to keep spending money on characters just to get those extra 80 jades , especially if the character is a miss and people don't like them that much. People will just give up and stop playing these extra game modes, and therefore, because they have nothing to come back to, they will eventually drop the game and stop spending money on HSR entirely. This HP inflation is such a bad move no matter which way you slice it.
Nah, i don't even bother anymore to do MOC 11-12 or to 3* star other mods. I already accepted that HSR is a garbage, and that Hoyo is a trash company which only cares about money and never cared about making games. Honestly, such a developement was obvious since HSR release.

Literally what's the point of playing or pulling new units if the worst dps's can invalidate the game without you even playing yourself???
Back when I got Jingliu, I started to get more consistent FH clears and I thought, "wow, planning ahead is quite great, I'll do this for other characters." So I did, I planned my pulls to get units and complete teams I thought were quite future-proof because I built them properly. I don't have FUA team because I picked the break route and since jades are limited my team choices are also limited, every time FH resets I get slapped in the face by the fact that my clears are getting more and more longer, I ran an Acheron DoT team for Svarog and it was painfully slow, doable but I'm afraid I wont be able to clear the same boss next time because their HP is so inflated I would not have enough cycles for 2nd half. Brutal marketing tactic, I can't plan for future characters I want aesthetically and meta speaking if every patch I need the new character to update my roster, provided I even have the correct supports in the first place.
My mindset to maximise my enjoyment in Genshin and HSR is to pull for characters I like, as well as avoid pulling characters that I don't like. I actively avoid Raiden Shogun's banners since her release since I hate her in the story. Similarly, I actively avoid Kafka's and Sparkle's banners as I hate them with my guts (no offense to their fans, you're still valid). I've come to terms with the fact that I will never have a good DoT and hypercarry team, because I thought that HSR would go Genshin's way, but better somehow, that in time, I would eventually able to 36-star the MOC someday (for context, I only managed to 36-star Genshin's abyss after collecting just the characters I like after two years of playing). With the way HSR is going, I guess 36-star MoC is just a pipe dream I guess lol
true... I miss full star-ing using my hook ☹. Bosses are getting tankier too fast for no reason. Now I struggle to even full star since I only pull for characters I like, and coincidentally none of them are meta chars. Now lots of my favorite units are just benched and probably are never going to see the light of day again.
@@blueblazedemon Nah, i was just reminiscing. Throughout 1.x and early 2.x, my hook was still able to fullclear. Now im stuck to use newer units, cus the older ones are just junk (meta-wise). This MoC cycle in particular, I cant fullclear cus i don't have either acheron, firefly, or rappa, also any core member of the fua team (since i dont really pull meta units). The game nullifying the resources I put on older units through only several versions is just annoying imo.
I have no problem in particular about the release of these OP characters. I just wished they didn't set these characters as the new bar. Like just let them be OP while the rest is still usable.
@@comfi4816 it's a gatcha game at the end of the day what did you expect tho hoyo wants to make money sooner or later you're gonna have to pull some kinda meta unit to keep up with the games content you can't just clear stuff like you can with 1.0 or 2.0 units anymore and if you do they need to be heavily invested in. can't fight the wave you have to ride with it in some shape or form you need to have at least 2 meta units with a solid team to carry you. it would be nice if they could buff the standard units kits and give them a little update because right now there giving away a free 5 star standard unit what's the point in getting one if those units can barely keep up? they should at least buff the whole standard units so there worth actually using.
@@blueblazedemon I see your point. Hoyo wants profit. And I am expected to spend some money on meta units to keep up with the game. It is a business strategy. But from a gameplay perspective (not completely unrelated to business strat), I don't think this would be a good trend. As new units come, the older would then be more and more irelevant, possibly to the point where only new units can compete in the upcoming metas. The attachment players(me) has on older characters that made me love the game will soon be meaningless, and maybe I would enjoy the game less. In extreme cases, players(I) would maybe play less or even drop the game I agree that they should do balance patches, to make sure older units are still up to speed. Just to make the playerbase happier yk.
I played in 1.0 and quit and came back on firefly banner. It has been an endless grind to work on getting characters to a point to try and clear the final level of any limited event. I still haven't been able to even clear both sides of any mode
Hoyoverse uses several tactics to manipulate you, which includes hiring people to make fake social media accounts that push for the narrative that every character is a must pull to hiring youtubers to convince ypu in pulling for every character. In game, they change end game content to suit the character currently running and right now they are inflatung hp to encourage u to pull. Hoyo has also been experimenting with double bar break bossss in form of hooley to nerf firefly who basically can clear one side thanks to her weakness implant
This is one of the truest things ive ever seen. Players are basically forced to get the new broken characters just to even have rhe chance to clear the new end game content
I've seen one person complete this moc with only 4* characters using a strategy related to moze and preservation march's follow up atacks and yukong's massive buffs on all of his follow ups, the team also contained tingyun. The second side was all about action advancing and massive speed with asta, gallagher, hanya and serval, both harmonies using s5 ddd. I can't remember the name of the person who did it but it was a chinese creator
Developers thinking that additional HP means it is more difficult is too common these days. Interesting mechanics that require actual planning to beat, that is what we want.
@@Male_Ficent I have since cleared it thanks to some RNG, but if you are interested. Firefly with RM, HTB, and Lingsha. Acheron with JQ, SW/Pela, and AV. F2P so only DPS have Signature LC, other are on 2nd best LC. DPS are SS tier builds and Supports have at least S tier builds.
Dude, you're so right; thank you for this video! I came to HSR from Genshin (still playing it), expecting the same type of balance, but, my man, I'm so tired of it. I hate how they always powercreep their characters and make old ones really hard to play. My favorite character is Argenti, and it's a PAIN to make his team clear 12 MOC within 5 cycles or less. I've fully cleared MOC 12 a few times, and then I literally can't! I hate how the HSR team does their game. My Genshin acc is 1,4k days old already, and I still play my c6 Lisa, a starter character, who is able to fully clear 12 floor Abyss! I know I will manage to make my Argenti even better in the future, changing his and his supports' set to new ones, but it bugs me so much that HP of the enemies becomes more and more enormous while they give no buff to other types of gameplay excluding meta ones. Ngl, I've lost my interest in endgame.
This is partially why i am this part casual part hardcore gamer in this game. It's pretty much impossible to clear no matter the builds you have. You NEED the character hoyo is pushing in whatever endgame otherwise its E6S5 to clear.... If the problem isn't appearent enough, look at Braxophone's Jingliu. She's E6S5 and i genuinely couldn't tell until i saw the comments talking about how the E6S5 jingliu is barely outDPSING an e0s1 acheron💀 meanwhile in genshin a c6r5 DPS from 1.x(say,childe) can easily crush all the endgame content with ease. Meanwhile JL needs ice weak to do damage even at E6S5😭
ZZZ not even hitting 2.0 and already suffers from this. The new Shiyu Defense meta right now is disorder dps and if you try to brute force using your 1.0 standart attack-stun-support party, you DEFINITELY not gonna be able to go A Rank, Let alone S Rank.

I quit ZZZ after just one month because I saw that writing on the wall. Too many required character banners back to back to back, and I saw that the game is just for whales, too. Can't whale in ALL these games 😅
ZZZ's endgame is laughably easy right now, you can quite literally solo shiyu 7 with characters such as Jane and Yanagi, at E0S0. Also, the game having 3 character teams instead of 4 helps immensely
That is one of the reasons why I quit HSR. They are basically just reusing the same boss, slapping a new skin (like with the gorilla wearing a cap) while boosting the HP by a LOT! This is one of the easiest ways to powercreep your hard earned 5 stars because newly released 5 stars are fully loaded to entice you from spending. What a cunning tactic.. For the record, I have spent close to $1000 and regret doing it. At least, I am gacha free now..

Completely didn't need some of the characters I went for. Fugue will be the same thing. I just don't need her, but I want her, and then my account will be screwed even more. Doesn't feel good, because you sort of need the right teams in order to play the freakin' game, which is the endgame.
I left this game due to how annoying i found the gear system but assume the endgame modes to be great if i did the grind. It's unfortunate to see how hard and fast powercreep and hp bloat has the endgame modes.
If they didn't make MoC about the newest shiny toy in the market (rappa this time), we wouldn't see this happening At this point MoC stopped being a speedrun/battle optimization mode and it became just a way for whales to flex screen numbers (edit: typo)
As a person with only ONE meta character, who I was originally gonna skip.. I just play the simulated universe. I’ve given up on trying to keep up with this game. Like, I patiently waited soooo long to get Blade, Argenti, Boothill, Aventurine, cause I loved their characters. Like, what am I supposed to do now?? Stare at them all day?? I’ve been doing that for months, give me something else to do I’m BEGGING
F2p and cleared it BUT most f2ps can't clear unless they're meta slaves or just lucky(like i could never if i didn't won 5 50/50's in a row, and these include feixiao and ruan mei which is a huge deal.)Yet i still suffered.Usually i bring up seele for moc11, but SHE struggled, a lot. Despite having the matched weakness,s1, e1s1 bronya and sparkle(even tried s1 robin), decent full set build,traces being 9 etc etc.. just forget it. Also the 3 million spike is atrocious, moc 11 is spongier than 2.4 moc 12. And I'll just give up moc 11-12 when summon meta drops. I'm tired, i just want to invest and have fun with off-meta/not so meta(pf-so called)units i actually enjoy(seele, sparkle,fu xuan, e0 jade and himeko, rappa(when 3.x),bronya when sunday gets released etc etc.instead of pulling for them for pulling and meta. (Wind set abusers, ddd bank account havers are excluded,that hyperinvest is lifeless farming yet with this trend going on, they're gonna suffer soon for sure)
i agree with you, ive been able to clear moc in the past few months but this one is just pure aids, i just cant get 3 stars for anything, just gave up coz my sanity worth more than 80 jades lmaoao, anyway good video 👍🏻
proud to say I managed to clear moc 12 full stars today (79 attempts...) no jiaoqiu no limited sustain besides lingsha who I pulled out of desperation first half firefly(e1 s1), ruan mei, hmc, gallagher second half acheron(s1), sparkle, lingsha and welt! struggled with surviving on second half SM and had gepard + lingsha both but only got 18 cycles eventually cracked it after putting lingsha on a break/ atk build and welt on a spd/ break build with pearls of sweat lc to replace pela, think the double aoe with lingsha and welt helped massively 10 cycles, ff 3 acheron 7 (why is she falling off so hard without jiaoqiu) hate moc rn!!! hope this helps someone struggling
hoyoverse needs to understand, that while making characters op is fine, THEY CANT FORKIRONI IGNORE THE FACT THAT YOU STILL NEED TO GIVE PEOPEL A CHANCE TO CLEAR WITHOUT METS BREAKING UNITS. MY ACHERON, MY ACHERON, CANT CLEA MOC 12 IN 4 CYCLES ANYMORE. AND I HAVE JIAOQIU PELA AND ROBIN. BRONYA TOO, AND MY RAPPA SUPERBREAK TEAM ISNT DOING DOG WATER. Honkai is good at some things, a lot even, but the endgame is just ridiculously bad and its 50% of the content, if the game implemented more ways to get jades, like endgame but its with cards or building, or even just challenges with other players, this would genuinely be fine, but no. I love hsr, but this is getting ridiculous, they do give a bunch of players ways to keep up with giving us at least 93 pulls a patch to farm, its still not enough. because if you're going to release op character after op character it won't matter anymore, none of it will. No old characters buffed, no new characters who cant be decent because of design and FOMO being a way hoyo gets money, nothing will matter. it will become stale, and hopeless, if it doesnt give us more. an example of good endgame is the simulated universe, it wont punish you for not being meta and you can do whatever while getting jades. everything else? it will punish you for not getting a character, its becoming powercreep kingdom. I don't even like acheron, i only got her because i was STRUGGLING with endgame, i got robin because i likedher character but also because endgame, i skipped my favorite character aventurine for meta and i regret it so hard because i genuinely love him, but my past self saw robin having much more value, much more versitality so i skipped. And if im getting punished for not being a whale, or spending, i won't like it as much. honestly an advice ill give to people reading my comment, please just slap some sense into hoyo and tell them to at least add something else other than combat because if they don't they will eventually crash and burn.this is basically a rant, and its because of me burning out, and getting hype and playing, and burning out--- and its happening every month.
It's a predatory gacha like all the other games they make, they're only buffed by pulling for the new unit that needs investment too, in some cases, even eidolons or constellations. They just want the money and people just say "if you don't like it, don't play it, quit and stop yapping" or they're douchebags that merely say "no money?"
@@mihneadragu1116 truly, as a strong, STRONG f2p who's had to skip their favs many times I don't understand why people just excuse hsr for it's insane power creep and bloated dialogue, yes they listen to us more than genshin but honestly I think the standard for listening should be wuwa, not saying wuwa is worse or better. The devs in wuwa just consistently listen to the player base which is the bare minimum in my eyes.
Its funny because in genshin and zzz they do the opposite. ZZZ its still pretty early so its hard to tell , but the emdgame there emphasises survivability more that raw dps.
i think the reason why 2nd half boss has so much hp cos the boss shared hp with the mobs, optimally youll need to use an aoe characters, not blast or single target, like acheron/rappa, so the big exccess aoe damage is funneled into the boss ,and yes ofc this boss is tailor made for rappa, mobs, shared hp, and imaginary weak is just perfect for her
Not too mention that the monkey boss actively rewards you for engaging w/ it's mechanics e.g. free atk buff, free energy, and free team advance. I do think they still need to tone down the hp a bit tho, it feels a bit too overtuned. I cleared monkey in my first blind attempt w/ superbreak Himeko team btw(E6 Gal, E0S0 RM, and E6 HMC), so it somewhat confuses me that ppl can't clear it w/ Rappa somehow. I also tried w/ superbreak Serval and it was actually a cycle faster lol.
This MoC is currently very weird because this MoC still caters to whoever owns Rappa, which is less than 30% of the whole playerbase. I can link the logic of 5 Million HP Monke Bosses countered by the Erudition character. It suits the weaknesses too. If you don't have her, well I guess you're f*cked because we're way past the point of her banner. Mind you Firefly is overall better Break DPS character. However, this MoC fares much better if you had the other Break DPS, it lets you get the benefits of the Boss mechanic. but then again, getting benefits from solely a single character is still dumb. (part of their marketing strategy i guess). With that said. I agree with your takes on 0 cycling, don't care about it. it gives arbitrary reward. 10 cycles is all you need bare minimum. 3 stars is what matters. take the 800 Stellar Jades and move on with our lives
I dont have rappa but my jade just smoked the boss. People crap on erudition a lot but when a hard PF or an aoe fight happens its funny to see people get mad.

Before, finishing MoC is a symbol of pride. Now, it is just a roster check. No matter how meticulously build your favorite units, you will never finish MoC without the new meta units.

I really like the banan crew boss, like, the sirens and the mechanic of happy/angry they have. The only problem for me is THAT hp, and the worse is not even the bananas, Svarog and elites hp is ridiculous.
This one I actually agree on, I get that this was supposed to be end game content for people who smartly invested in their own progress. Stat balancing bosses are a thing but by this much is just way too unreasonable.
That just doesn't make for a very fun game, though, and it's going to push people away from the game. All that will be left are whales and meta slaves.

It's just that the thing that separates HSR and say, something like Genshin, is that HSR is heavily about the endgame, and you're sort of funneled into it if you want to continue playing the game. But... It doesn't have the flexibility that other games have. It feels like you must acquire certain characters and their ideal teammates very frequently if you want to fully clear the content, and... there's a heavy incentive to do so for all those jades. It's literally that "anxiety" problem that we memed on the Genshin devs for a few years ago. The people in the beta are the ones playing the real game. They get to experiment with different builds and teams to their heart's content, where we have to be extremely meticulous in our pulls and resources spent. We don't get to experiment. We have to meta slave.
imagine for the meta f2p, who try they best to get the good characters to get bailou every time. and every patch we got 2 new characters to make a new power creep. im tierd to get a 5* in pit 83+. 75pit in this game is a lie. I only wish to enjoy this game but the fomo is high and I feel so not rewarded by the game in the pulls, is disgusting
It still saddens me how much Jingliu has fallen. Ruan Mei helps her quite a bit but it’s not enough She’ll always be my favorite DPS Feixiao I fear the same fate now When they keep releasing new units, it really started to worry me, especially when genshin had their first full rerun patch at 2.2 and Star rail hasn’t had one yet. Like we NEED a full rerun patch, both phases only reruns, no new characters, a break period for 2 months The very least one rerun for a phase and Star rail didn’t have this till 2.6 and it was two high meta units, Aventurine and Acheron! Genshin had their first in 1.4 (correct me if my knowledge is wrong btw!) It probably won’t solve the problem but a break period would be nice, because like you said, it’s like we gotta whale to keep up with harder content
Am so glass that you show this up, as the one that's never see a boss HP in website but after I finish this MOC cycle I feel so wrong with this, normally I will only need 4 or 5 cycle max to clear but this time is cost me 9 cycle to clear this thing and with 2 best team right now (firefly SB and Feoxiao FUA) and is not even close to imagine how people can 3 star with other team man.
As someone who played genshin it doesnt even surprise me. It's usually X.6-X.8 where HP get super inflated and then go down on Y.0, is it still inflated? Yes to the point where 90% of 4 stars are useless along side 5* limited characters and yes it will get worse, genshin showed it
Ive completely lost interest in playing the game because of this, doing moc used to be very fun and something i always looked foward to but now it feels like youre hitting your head against a rock for 10 turns, praying to god that the enemies dont focus every attack on a single character, kill them and make you reset, and also i dont fucking know how or why they keep spamming buffs for break effect on every single game mode when you basicaly cannot make 2 good super break teams since theres no substitute for hmc/ruan mei. And now instead of focusing on adding more options for older teams they are just gonna add a new team comp in the form of rememberance and force everyone to pull for a entire new team lmao, this game is slowly killing itself with its balancing.
I Played the first Stage with my DoT Team and the Second one with Himeko, harmony TB, ruan Mei and Gallagher. You can actually abuse the new boss in the Second Wave and get many Speed buffs and ultimate Charges. The extra Auto damage for breaking enemies make a Lot of damage as Well.
Took me 10 attemps to clear with Acheron 1st side and FF break 2nd.. the second boss is absolutely ridiculous and I feel like with the release of the new planet and their characters they're really going to push us to switch over the new remembrance path.
Hot take maybe, but to me Acheron is not the problem, FUA is the problem. This Feixiao team is so ridiculously overpowered it puts older wind dps like Blade to shame. Like everyone compares Neuvi to Ayato but at least Ayato can still clear Abyss just fine with the right amount of investment, meanwhile in HSR… it doesn’t matter how good your skills are if at the end all it comes down to is how much money you’ve put into the meta characters.
FUA isn't the issue. It's just the rapid increase of enemy hp. Granted the MoC blessing does do a lot of damage this go around, but what would happen in the future if the MoC blessing doesn't do nearly the same amount of damage. A good number of players would end up being cooked.

I personally think this way because there’s way too much FUA characters (yunli and clara for destruction, jade, himeko & herta for erudition, feixiao, ratio, topaz, moze & march for hunt) and we need more variety. Where’s dot? Where’s hp manipulation?
@@usubenidango personally I feel like Acheron started the initial feeling of powercreep, (because jingliu and dhil were strong, buh Acheron’s multipliers were so absurd, she is definitely stronger). So I feel like Acheron started it, but I feel like superbreak is one of the bigger problems because of how easy it is to get going. I do agree with the influx of new characters being fua and how some see that as an issue, even tho I like fua the most so I’m a little biased. But I do agree, we do need more DOT and we need hp manipulation. Blade was my first limited dps and I loved using him back in the day, and I would love to use him again.

Why not just make the game increasingly difficult without HP inflation? Make the fight and combat much more interesting. Make the players think more. Make it complicated. This is how I feel like everytime I play ZZZ, it's just smashing buttons, no strategy, no combat Team, just spam shit combo it looks cool and cinematic
It took me 99 attempts and several build swaps, praying crits would land, and different comps of the same 10 characters to 12 star this. It honestly made me not want to even try in future MoCs if the characters I've put time into building can barely even meet the minimum now.
The worst part about these newer bosses is that while they do have somewhat interesting core gimmicks, they're almost entirely designed to be nullified or destroyed by whatever character released around them. Hoolay's Action Economy race is fun on paper, until you realise that hes entirely decimated by Yunli and Feixiao. The Banana Robot boss has *some* interesting things going on, with its Break gimmick and Shared HP, until you realise that that's precisely checked by Rappa's entire Kit. Something Unto Death and Aventurine of Strategems are fun bosses because their gimmicks dont rely on a specific archetype or character to counter. You can tank Aventurine's gamble mechanic with a sufficiently tanky Preservation character, get multiple single target rolls of the Dice with Action Advance, Offensive Ults, or FuAs, or just use a Blast/AoE DPS to proc multiple at once. With Something Unto Death, its core gimmick is incredibly important, but also entirely within the Player's control. You can rescue captured characters with DoT, but FuA, Blast, and weakness targeting are all equally viable, and the mechanic rewards you with a full Energy refill for your team. SAM, similarly, i really enjoy, and i blame his lack of incorporation into MoC for the sheer rise of both Firefly and Robin teams. Requiring that you spend several SP damaging the boss elevates Qingque and Imbibitor Lunae to a useful standing, yes, but it can also be mitigated by running a Dual DPS team, running a Nihility over a Harmony, or running Harmony characters with offensive skills, such as Asta and Hanya. Superbreak is such a limited archetype, because it straight up doesn't work if the weaknesses dont align, so they've either been making characters that cheat the rules (Firefly), while also specifically tailoring bosses and supports for said archetype. We haven't had to worry about Gepard, Bronya, SAM, or Ebon Deer locking their weaknesses for an incredibly long time. Instead we get Past, Present, and Eternal Show (Blast Break boss, tailored for Firefly), Sunday Boss (Aoe Break boss with shared HP, tailored for Firefly and Rappa) Feixiao Boss (AoE Break Shared HP, once again Tailored for Firefly) and now Banacademic Office Staff (AoE shared HP Break Boss, tailored for Firefly and Rappa)
The HP is indeed an issue, the enemies are not too interesting and it just takes more time to kill them. I managed to beat this MoC in 6 cycles. The Kafka DoT team with Kafka/Black Swan/Ruan Mei/Huo Huo was on Node 1. The Node 2 team was E6S1 Acheron/E2S1 Aventurine/Bronya/E2S1 Silver Wolf. Even with these rather costly units it took some cycles. But honestly as long as i can clear it with 3 stars any cycle amount is fine. Apocalyptic Shadow is my endgame bane, difficulty 4 is a bit too exhausting to even do often.
I love Jingliu too. I'm hoping to be able to use her again on a team of both Bronya(E1) and Sunday. Probably Aventurine in 4th slot for comfy-ness. we'll see I guess.
Yeah even my team of Firefly, Gallagher, Harmony mc and Ruan Mei had problems with the monkey boss. First side wasn't that bad actually but it was so long with Robin, Aventurine, Topaz and my Feixiao who's cr/cd ratio is literally 101%/185% and 3k atk. It's getting really annoying with the hp buffs to the enemies
it's why I don't feel particularly inclined to spend in the game anymore. Instead of designing interesting kits (like summons... it's literally almost 3.0 before Jingyuan gets Sunday to help him out), interesting mechanics (where are my hp fluctuation supports? Where DoT support?), and interesting bosses to fight against and instead just adds a bunch of hp to the monsters. They already have a track record of getting lazy after a while (cough Genshin cough) where they only add a bunch of hp to monsters and make specific play styles literally unplayable and go extinct (cough mono geo and physical cough). It's not like they don't have the budget to make better and more interesting fights and cutscenes instead of making us stand around in a yap fest for hours (like how Ryuuku sensei said). Their character designs, looks-wise, have been uninteresting and uninspiring for a while. No useable 4 stars outside of March 8th. 5 star standard lightcones are hot garbage, making it an extra pain in the ass when you lose the 25/75. In conclusion, they're not trying to sell us characters with interesting story, interesting kits, and interesting mechanics anymore. They're straight up selling us stat sticks, by power creeping every end game content with more and more hp.
I couldn't even three star MoC 10. YES, TEN. With my well built Boothill & HMC (No Ruan Mei)... I had to use two damn sustains (Gallagher & Aventurine) because HOOLAY HAS SO MANY DAMN TURNS 💀 I legit couldn't clear with 7 cycles remaining. SEVEN He used to two cycle bosses with an F2P team. Honkai star rail fix this bullshit 😭😭🙏🙏
before the rest of this post I do agree the HP inflation as a whole is getting out of hand, and Mihomo needs to calm the f down. now that aside: @4:18 there is already a 4 star clear on bilibili by a user named Hitomi, using March(Preservation) Yukong Tingyun, Moze side 1, and Serval, Asta, Hanya, Gallagher side 2 both sides in 5 cycles each the key to the office staff boss is bringing AoE and forcing them to keep buffing your team. The fight actually becomes stupid easy when they're throwing ATK buffs, SP, energy, and action advances at your team I do agree the HP is a bit too high, but I think just seeing the HP there in a vacuum isn't telling the whole picture for that specific boss I myself cleared side 2 in 3 cycles with Guinaifen and Black Swan, certainly not "meta" units AoE is king in the fight, the shared HP pool means all your AoE become super powered beyond what blast/single target damage can do example: a 200% AoE ultimate suddenly becomes a 1000% ultimate your 100% dmg aoe skill? is now basically 500% damage there is a Herta zero cycle on side two by Ruri Goku here on youtube if you're curious based on the comps you showed, Feixiao shouldn't have much issue side 1, obviously but Firefly isn't a great option side two, sure she's fast, but she doesn't have that much AoE power, and her standard team comp doesn't have a solid way to break the 2 and 4 TVs if they get tutored. The Fire Weaknesses are also spread out on 1,3,5 so no way to blast more then two, and targetting one means the adjacent enemies are fire resistant just because there is a fireweakness doesn't mean firefly is ideal for that fight I've seen some sub 5 cycle clears by Super Break Jiaoqiu, Jade/Lingsha, Topaz/Herta, Argenti, Serval, superbreak and hyper carry himeko, and of course Acheron honestly this is the best designed boss of 2.0 once you figure it out
I would've agreed with you if those ppl you mentioned didn't build the characters to the max with very specific relic sets like the eagle set just to advance forward like for real who is gonna build their characters on eagle set as a default? Those ppl you mentioned have almost studied the game to the nook and cranny and if that's what it takes to clear the last stages of the game with 4 star characters just so I can get an extra 80 jades then Hoyo can have them because it shouldn't be that difficult when you already have 5 star characters but welp they got powercrept because Hoyo needs some money.

Moving the goalpost are we? Like yes, they are going to use any FREE method to enhance subpar units. That's the point. I got 9 cycles (2 cycles with Acheron and 7 cycles with Firefly because I swear to god they won’t stop debuffing me), the banana boss is 100% designed for Rappa’s kit and it’s genuinely annoying if they keep designing bosses that can only be “easily” cleared by certain characters gimmicks
I've been slipping off of star rail for a while now for the very reasons you state. You're right. Jingliu is just bad now and it hurts my feelings. I've made reverse 1999 my main game because they respect people's pulls more. All of their premium characters are still very good so I don't have to feel bad about spending on a character for them to be utterly unplayable in nine months.
I’ve never did the endgame content before because I’m in the middle of building characters then I get bored of building characters and drop the game for months to a year then come back and the meta is completely different I’m pretty much in a endless cycle of building characters 😂
This is what I cleared with: First half - E0S1 Feixiao/E2 Moze/E1 Robin/E1S1 Aventurine Second half - E0 Firefly/E0S1 Ruan Mei/E6 HMC/E4 Gallagher It took me the full 10 cycles. The WORST of the two halves was the second half. That 5mil HP sponge of a boss was what took so damned long. This is not okay. My Firefly that is DECENTLY built with a well built Ruan Mei/HMC/Gallagher should NOT take that many to clear. My Firefly doesn't have her sig but a S5 herta cone. I tried a second time and managed to 2-cycle with an E6 hunt March. Second half was a shitshow. I have a very well built Aventurine and Robin. My Feixiao is also decently built. And I STILL struggled. I even recorded the clear itself. Sure, I make some mistakes, but the fact we are relying on units that are OP is unfortunate. The fact that we're essentially going to be REQUIRED to whale in order to proceed is ridiculous. I'm pulling Sunday. I'm pulling Jing Yuan's light cone. The HP sponge issue is absolute BS. Now I want to try all 4*s just to see if I can manage it.
I was able to true 0-cycle last MoC for the first time with picking up Rappa. Now I 0-cycled the first side, but side 2 wave 2, the freaking monkeys made me need 2 whole cycles just to do the 5 million hp.
Glad I'm not the only one, even Firefly, one of my strongest teams struggles against this cause my other members were getting cooked by that Banana Group Boss. It's not her but Trailblazer being the victim most of the time even with a shielder on the team. I don't know if Hoyo's gonna make another Preservation unit but if they do, I hope is a Break-Centered Defender cause Gepard couldn't keep up with that Banana Group Boss
I stopped playing because of the power creep. I pulled Feixiao and really like her, had fun, but I realised at that point that I likely will only enjoy her for a few months until she is obsolete. And it's not just that, you have to pull a whole team (or at least half a team) for many of the characters. Sorry, I don't feel like it anymore. I am happy to be proven wrong and will revisit the game in 3.4 or something to see how it developed
I took a break after getting jingliu then came back during boothill’s banner and my characters were so outdated I had to get both Ruan Mei and firefly, I didn’t even want ff I got her because she’s so op. I hope they’ll do something about it in the future because it’s getting ridiculous

I still can't understand how in the previous MOC with Aventurine at level 12 I passed it with three stars this time when it is at level 11 I didn't reach three stars. Like, how? I use the same characters with the same build.
My teams are DHIL, Jingliu and Firefly (Luocha, Aven, RM, Robin & Sparkle supports)... im just a casual player that just make do with decent artifacts. This game shits on my units daily 😂
I'm F2P and have been playing since day 1 of 1.0. I already abandoned the idea of rolling for characters I LIKE, because there's no way I can clear endgame stuff if I don't hard-focus the meta. I learned that lesson the hard way when I rolled for Sparkle because I really loved playing DHIL, just to have HoYo floor the gas pedal on Break and FUA and make DHIL nearly completely unusable. Because I had rolled for Sparkle, I didn't have enough jades for Robin, and then lost the 50/50 on Firefly. Sparkle has been collecting dust in the meantime. Because of one "mistake" on my part, I spent the rest of 2.x struggling to fullclear endgame modes. Sometimes I'd do 50+ tries with different teams, praying for good enemy RNG (which, turns out, can save you 3 entire cycles), building characters in weird ways to make it through (BE Serval anyone?), and often clearing on the very last action before the time limit. Sometimes spending weeks farming relics just to squeeze out that 2 extra speed or little bit of extra BE that pushed my teams over the edge of being able to do this content. But I did make it. I did fullclear all 2.x endgame modes without Robin or Firefly. Never again making the mistake of rolling for characters I like though. If HoYo changed anything, I wish they'd take the current powerlevel of Break/FUA and make that the target for other archetypes to hit, so that we'll have 6-7 archetypes with approximately the same powerlevel, without scaling higher than we already have. And then make less restrictive enemies so we can actually bring a variety of teams to clear the endgame instead of being forced into Break for Sunday or FUA/Counter for Hoolay.
Im sorry that this video isnt super high quality or anything, wanted to get my genuine thoughts out on the current game state, and sorry if i sound angry but I'm extremely disappointed in the way they are handling the endgame at the moment. It's important to say what's wrong with the game as we know they listen in HSR.

I do want to tell you though HP increase CAN be a good method of difficulty increase as long as there is not a short timer associated with it. If they gave us the old amount of cycles back I feel like it would be fine because more HP means you have to survive longer which will eventually force people to run sustains but the issue is the timer does not go well with HP increase because let's be honest, a monkey could beat MoC12 but there isn't really any skill ceiling in this game, at all, there are a few small ult niches and DDD and action advance tricks you can do but I would consider Escape from Tarkov for example, a much harder game than this. Or Tekken 8 ranked, there is not a single star rail player that would get a single round on me in tekken 8, it's not a hard game because at the end of a day it IS a stat check. Whereas Tekken 8 is a HARD SKILL check.

I know cause I'm usually like you but you know hsr is a game other than the stories and quests the only game you're playing are the endgame which is fine. So when I have nothing to do I liked to retry the floor over and over again let's say from 1 star at floor 12 to 2 star. Or maybe I'll try a different team. Most of the time even tho I won't get 3 star I would finished in like turn 19 or 18. But the state of the game right now even with my best team I need at least 7 turn to just do the first floor and by the end I would be left with 13 maybe 14 turn left if I'm lucky. And it's not cause my character just turned weaker no my character still do the same damage as before just the effing enemy become a slog to play against with their high hp. There's no skill or Strat that'll make my character somehow better just the enemy won't die. I'm just really worried that my favorite character will be benched just cause of this inflated HP cause they're just not usable anymore compared to newer characters. I had to pull for Acheron a character that I liked but really don't care for cause I'm scared that I couldn't finish the endgame at the rate this game is going. Especially when I'm not planning to pull for either aglea or Herta cause I don't care for them as I do Acheron. So balancing playing the character I liked and somehow survive the meta is so effing hard.
It's not about 80 jades, it's about feeling accomplishment after you grind for your character for months and managed to beat the hardest level of MoC with them, only for them to make the bosses harder with no unique mechanics, punishing you for not pulling the recent banner character
It takes over a year of full endgame clears to "make back" the cost of one 5* character, double that for a guaranteed limited 5*. It's a total scam lmao.

HP inflation is the laziest type of difficulty bump. Boss Aventurine is the last boss I actually struggled but not rage quit because of the HP. His mechanics and gamble type of gameplay makes it more forgiving and kindoff fun to play against.

HP inflation is the only way HYV can increase the difficulty of content, when 90% or more of the playerbase are absolute garbage. The last time they tried to make an interesting boss, boss Aventurine got removed from various game modes because he was "too hard".

I have extremely good relics and I'm still geting dog walked like it's not even funny. I could at lease clear the last moc with all stars but now I can hardly survive and definitely not get 3 stars. On floor 11 i got one star and I cant even clear floor 12. Extremely low spender close to f2p here.
You basically described HSR in a Nutshell when it comes to gameplay. HSR has gameplay issues and the worst storytelling I have ever seen within gaming. Yet it gets praised by everyone...just tons of brainless children and/or fanbois I guess.

People saying this is "ok", needs to get their eyes checked because this is not ok. We're only a year and a half into this game's life span, and we're already getting these crazy HP inflation. Imagine 3.X or 4.X, by that point if we continue to increase the HP 1.X characters will just not be useable unless you have E6's and even then they might still not even clear if we go down this path. Sooner or later, we're going to have elites that has 5M HP and I'm genuinely concerned with the future of HSR if we continue to go down this path. We said this with Genshin, and we'll say it with HSR. Adding HP doesn't make it harder, it only makes it more annoying.

I just used the basic a basic fire fly team with gallagher cause I dont have lingsha.
Some optimization with his ult was required to switch all the enemies to give buffs.
Lingsha likely would have made this a cake walk.
This boss is probably pretty good as it isnt as brute force able. You actually interact with the mechanics

it's so crazy to me that i've practically given up on most endgame content because i only pull for characters i actually want to use lol
So the problem with these companies is that this is always the pattern they do. They make a new game that people love and enjoy and get people addicted to the game, next 2.0 comes and they think on how to part people with their money they already got e6s5 seele, dhil and jingliu how can we get their money. So they add more HP to monsters but make new characters deal the HP difference to their damage or they added a mechanic that can only really be beaten by using an on element character like Safeguard.
3.0 is the milking stage and when they start developing another new game as this one goes into "milking the addicts" phase as all the new/ftp/light spenders are slowly fizzling out due to powercreep. A lot of people wont be able to quit because they feel like they have invested too much time and/or money into the game and just play it because it's now part of their daily routine.
Now as for myself, I will not be purchasing the next monthly battle pass or supply pass, I have been buying both since the game came out and I have purchased all the "First time bundles" which is a fair bit of money but it's getting to the point where I'm not getting back my moneys worth anymore as time goes on and I am incredibly excited for other games coming out soon like Monster Hunter Wilds and Stalker 2 I need to play through and the new Final Fantasy game and by the time I've done all that the I will feel like I am too far behind to continue with star rail and likely just stop playing anyway, so pre-emptively stopping my payments for 2.7 and depending on how specifically well "Blade" does in 3.0 will depend whether I drop the game entirely, I refuse to play a character or team I do not care about.
That's like me using the Sword and Shield in monster hunter, I'm just not going to not going to do that because I want to and am going to use the Charge Blade and if I can't beat it with the Charge Blade I would find a way or I would just quit the game and play something else luckily in monster hunter you can 100% the game with any weapon.

Acheronification is the best term to describe Hsr power creep. Even in 2.0 came out there was nothing crazy. Black Swan and sparkle but then 2.1 we got Acheron and Aventurine and after Robin and Boothill and then every 1.0 character just can’t breathe.

It makes it so that you can get to playing your new favorite characters right away because you probably already have their team ready to go with Bennet, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Sucrose, and Fischl. It makes the game more F2P friendly than HSR.

My team keep progressing getting stronger and stronger every patch, yet, every single patch I keep struggling, like what the fuck is this powercreep ? It's not like they make new mobs and then they're strong asf, but they just give old mobs more HP. F*ck off. That, combine with the MASSIVE powercreeping unit keep releasing, this game days are numbered. If a unit release and basically only has like a few patches to live before getting powercrept to oblivion then the sales will go down drastically, then because sale goes down, then they have to make stronger unit, and this shit will keep spiralling down until it cannot be saved anymore cause it's already fucked, literally the same path like HI3, rampaging powercreep
Typical gacha games. The only gacha that actually trying to cater to casual players are Epic Seven. You can get almost every meta characters there because it's easy to farm diamonds. only issue is equipment substats rng but it's not big deal as you can still clear all content

yeah, people will only have an easy/decent time if they have COUNTER picks. other than that you will feel the power of HP inflation. that's about it, literally when I pulled aventurine e0 to get a complete ipc follow up with mid tier offset relics and he easily gave me free 2 cycles worth against svarog because I couldn't beat the whole floor 12 in 20 cycles.
either you need to keep up with the best of the best meta, or get extremely good relics just to unlock clears with strategically and specifically viable 4 star only comps.. and we already know how difficult and hellish the relics part that even people who run 5 stars are getting there ass fucked and complain.

i'd argue that superbreak is worse, given how well it performs while also being way easier to get going compared to other two top teams (acheron/foxy) both relic and unit wise. my e1s0 firefly team (with e1 ruan) feels way better to play and often performs better than my e2s1 acheron without a fox guy (lost a 50/50) on half-assed builds and with gallachad instead of lingsha (so it's not even at its peak - with lingsha and tingyun it would've been even more busted). so to match/outperform a team with two free units (hmc, galla), no signatures, and only two e1s, i have to get way better artifacts and pull for a very specific units (i.e. replace sparkle with sunday e0s1 at least, and get pink fox guy on a rerun) even at e2s1. i feel so stupid for investing into acheron now lol

Nah people have to stop putting it on Acheron, obviously her AoE is crazy and her ST is solid, but she isn’t the one to make Hoyo go crazy with HP inflation. Superbreak and Firefly are the big reason, because the damage floor SB is so high the only way to combat it is HP inflation. Think about it, Superbreak has a limit it can go to based on toughness bar damage dealt and debuffs on the enemy. It’s also so easy to build around due to only needing Break Effect, with Spd and for some characters Atk being useful, so we have ease of use + ease to build + high damage floor. The only ways they can combat SB without killing it is HP inflation or toughness inflation, the latter would make you SB less often so “less fun” so clearly the devs went with HP inflation. You get to see all the big funny SB numbers over and over and over again, so fun! Until you realize the enemy has 5mil hp.
Just look at how much they shill for Firefly/Break and you’d see right away where all the issues with the game since her release are all coming from.
I agree with you. That's why I was lowkey upset when they nerfed the Aventurine boss. He actually has an interesting mechanic with the dice. But the moment we got a challenging boss, people complained, which will obviously make the devs more hesitant to introduce challenging bosses.
tbh, there is no challenging fight in hsr. If you have all the pieces, everything is a breeze. Aventurine boss? Bh team jingliu team and fua team can clear it.
Those new circus enemies? Rappa is the answer. and so on.

Aventurine’s boss in the story was also just HP and damage inflation though compared to other bosses at the same level. Yeah he has those unique gimmicks but it’s hard to enjoy them when it takes half an hour to beat him, and so many supports become unviable against him. I know because I spent half an hour beating him day 1 using Misha. No other boss before took me close to that same amount, or made me run double sustain since I lacked any limited ones at the time. If them making bosses double in HP in MOC is bad I don’t see how it’s suddenly a good thing when it’s for story.
A lot of boss gimmicks in this game really just exist to encourage certain archetypes. Aventurine’s gimmick is fun until you’re using Sparkle and she literally can’t do anything to win the gamble. Hoolay’s gimmick is fun when using Feixiao or Yunli but when not using a FUA team it’s literally just a way to make your team take more damage. Sure, they’re fun when you have the proper units to exploit the buffs, but without them, it’s practically the same as stat inflation
Even in Echo of War the inflation is crazy, it takes me like 90 seconds to fight Cocolia or the Doomsday Beast, and like over 4 minutes to beat Sunday or Feixiao
If we talk about MOC Aventurine then no, that fight has both stalling, RNG and big HP and unless your substain and DPS can do Blast/AOE or you have Boothill and just ignore the dice phase, the fight is ass. AS Aventurine is actually fun though since dice point are shared between everyone.
Imagine pulling E6S5 Jingliu... If someone spent that much money, they should be able to use their favorite character till the end of time. This sucks.
An E6S5 Jingliu is still usable... is what I would like to say, if there was actually an Ice-weak boss in MoC. It makes me sad that an E0S1 Firefly will perform better than her in most scenarios.

I mean, I enjoy modern yugioh, it has its problems but I wouldn't say it's ruined. The only problems currently is the price and the strengths of 1 card combos. But, at least yugioh releases support for older themes and archetypes to allow them to compete in the modern game. E.g. new nekroz support etc.
HSR feels REALLY punishing if you ever lost 50-50s on limited, meta character banners. Missed out on Firefly and have been suffering ever since. Couldn't even pull Rappa because I needed Aventurine. It's getting ridiculous at this point. My builds are good too, and it is NOT helping just because I don't have some META DEFINING SPECIFIC TEAMS built.
I didn’t go for Feixiao because i needed Robin and now i can feel the inconveniences that come with not having her.
If i go for her i need to hope she doesn’t rerun with a new 3.X DPS, or else i will miss out on the new must-have unit again unless i spend money to get both. I also unfortunately lost 50/50 on Rappa, which also feels bad.
I’ve been playing since day one and managed to pull most characters, so i used to not really experience the HP inflation issue.
Little did i know it would only take not having two new characters to feel like i completely fell out of the loop…
i think the main issue is, them locking in game jade rewards, behind these highly inflated hps
i know its supposed to be the endgame, but that doesn't mean it should only allow the top meta teams to get full rewards.
I think genshin does it best, they have insanely inflated hp bosses, but they are present in the overworld, and only give an achievement on beating,
meanwhile stuff like abyss can still be cleared by 4 star teams provided you have good builds
adding insanely buffed bosses, to let giga min maxers with meta teams to have fun with, is fine
but don't lock behind crucial jade/primo rewards behind those, that are lifeline of f2p players.
I cleared all endgame modes with 1 star until recently. I dont get 3 wishes per month. whatever. it doesnt matter. the game is getting kinda boring with each new patch.
I recently pulled some of the meta chars cos in fact I liked them and went to full clear on auto....
it doesnt feel like I accomplished something.

I can see casual players losing interest very quickly though, you're stuck between not being able to clear or pulling meta units and pressing auto. At the end of the day, it doesn't really feel like MoC at least has enough variety or interesting gameplay elements for casuals to have fun, only for the sweats to have fun speed tuning and team building to 0 cycle.

There's over 10 bosses that encourage you to play around different mechanics and playstyles, from FUA with Hoolay to the new boss that essentially buffs you as long as you attack the smaller Bananadvisors once; granted the early ones are much simpler but you see them less in MoC nowadays and you'll keep on seeing new bosses and variety as time goes by.
I feel like "casuals" have certain expectations they took from the community where they see the whales and think they should also get 0 cycles or 3* every patch even when not pulling for most of the new characters which is just not how the gacha space works. Once they lower their expectations and realize they aren't losing anything by not completing MoC 12 then they can find fun in other areas. ( you lose 10 pulls in a YEAR if you just 1* Moc 12). Personally, the events are fun, the story is engaging and the characters can be interesting, I don't need to find meaning in my fun through the expectations of others big spenders, that's when it stops being fun.
I agree with what you're saying man. I was able to clear this MOC but it was down to the wire with the last floor. Just bumping up a boss's HP is the laziest way to make it harder. Honestly, I feel like five-stars should barely be taken into account when scaling endgame content. All these modes should be able to be reasonably cleared by two teams of four stars.
That's the problem. The number of 4* is outclassed by number of 5*. Lot of 4* also dont function that good with average relic stats. I only still can advance because I have 3 latest dps, while 4* are basically unusable
The outcome of your endgame battles shouldn't be decided by the number of limited 5* you have, but by time and effort put into the game :<

I agree with you conpletetly man, and it's what scares me about the future of this game. While i do have a Firefly team, my Yunli team is completely outclassed by Fexiao and the possible new units coming up, and I fear with the health pools rising due to the overpowered characters I won't be able ro compete soon. Which is frustrating because I don't want Fexiao or Acheron, but the game feels like it's pressuring me to get them due to the nature of the absurd HP scaling of enemies (And mind you this is a Yunli with Aventurine, Tingyun, and S1 Sparkle by her side) And people will tell me to build a better team, but I just can't. I lost my 50/50 for Robin (Second banner) and Topaz (Second banner) on previous banners, which has completely stunted my damage output for the follow up team I'd like to create
No kidding! I am extremely lucky I got Acheron and Aventurine this patch, because before I got them, I could barely advance on MoC at all with my usual teams!

I think yunli is still completely fine in the current meta. Feixiao probably wouldn't do you any better without robin. Feixiao without robin isnt busted, just good, and imo shes not good enough to pull in this case.

Yunli isn't necessarily "outclassed" by Feixiao, they just fill different niches. Yunli preforms way better than Feixiao in Pure Fiction. Feixiao is arguably more versatile but Yunli's still very good. Did you get the free Dr Ratio from patch 1.6? Because he's still very strong for follow up teams.
Im just losing motivation to play the game at this point. I can clear but the insane buffs enemies getting every patch and how they're making moc apocalyptic shadow buffs for specific niche is just ruining it for me. Losing 2 50/50 and getting 2 yanqings this week doesn't help either lel. Might just stop playing as its not been that fun for me lately kek.
Yes, games are supposed to be fun...HSR is just pure stress when it comes to its gameplay...If it wasn't for the good story, I would've quit this game already.
I solve the issue by not getting the last star every 2 weeks ( it's impossible for me to full 36/12 star anyway). Since HSR is only a side game while i focus on steam games, i've been so chill for the past year

As far as I can tell, it's gonna cater even more to Erudition characters. I'm glad that makes my Argenti stronger, but those who didn't pull him or Jade will probably just rely on Himeko and Herta even more.
The new 5 star Herta will probably be amazing for it. Argenti came out just before PF and is only now starting to lose ground, and he was designed for it. I'm sure The Herta will benefit greatly from the PF changes.

They need to bring the HP pool back down and let people accept that clearing MoC with Acheron is just a subtle unofficial easy mode. The only time you should start increasing the HP pool is when at least 50% of the current character roster can easily 0 cycle clear, not just 1-3 characters.
Right now, what's gonna happen is that people are gonna feel tired of having to pick the newest character every single time they come out just to clear because they make it impossible otherwise. They think this will incentivize people to swipe their cards, but that's such a temporary solution because nobody is going to keep spending money on characters just to get those extra 80 jades , especially if the character is a miss and people don't like them that much.
People will just give up and stop playing these extra game modes, and therefore, because they have nothing to come back to, they will eventually drop the game and stop spending money on HSR entirely. This HP inflation is such a bad move no matter which way you slice it.
Nah, i don't even bother anymore to do MOC 11-12 or to 3* star other mods.
I already accepted that HSR is a garbage, and that Hoyo is a trash company which only cares about money and never cared about making games.

Back when I got Jingliu, I started to get more consistent FH clears and I thought, "wow, planning ahead is quite great, I'll do this for other characters." So I did, I planned my pulls to get units and complete teams I thought were quite future-proof because I built them properly.
I don't have FUA team because I picked the break route and since jades are limited my team choices are also limited, every time FH resets I get slapped in the face by the fact that my clears are getting more and more longer, I ran an Acheron DoT team for Svarog and it was painfully slow, doable but I'm afraid I wont be able to clear the same boss next time because their HP is so inflated I would not have enough cycles for 2nd half.
Brutal marketing tactic, I can't plan for future characters I want aesthetically and meta speaking if every patch I need the new character to update my roster, provided I even have the correct supports in the first place.
My mindset to maximise my enjoyment in Genshin and HSR is to pull for characters I like, as well as avoid pulling characters that I don't like. I actively avoid Raiden Shogun's banners since her release since I hate her in the story. Similarly, I actively avoid Kafka's and Sparkle's banners as I hate them with my guts (no offense to their fans, you're still valid). I've come to terms with the fact that I will never have a good DoT and hypercarry team, because I thought that HSR would go Genshin's way, but better somehow, that in time, I would eventually able to 36-star the MOC someday (for context, I only managed to 36-star Genshin's abyss after collecting just the characters I like after two years of playing).
With the way HSR is going, I guess 36-star MoC is just a pipe dream I guess lol

true... I miss full star-ing using my hook ☹. Bosses are getting tankier too fast for no reason. Now I struggle to even full star since I only pull for characters I like, and coincidentally none of them are meta chars. Now lots of my favorite units are just benched and probably are never going to see the light of day again.

This MoC cycle in particular, I cant fullclear cus i don't have either acheron, firefly, or rappa, also any core member of the fua team (since i dont really pull meta units). The game nullifying the resources I put on older units through only several versions is just annoying imo.
I have no problem in particular about the release of these OP characters. I just wished they didn't set these characters as the new bar. Like just let them be OP while the rest is still usable.

But from a gameplay perspective (not completely unrelated to business strat), I don't think this would be a good trend. As new units come, the older would then be more and more irelevant, possibly to the point where only new units can compete in the upcoming metas. The attachment players(me) has on older characters that made me love the game will soon be meaningless, and maybe I would enjoy the game less. In extreme cases, players(I) would maybe play less or even drop the game
I agree that they should do balance patches, to make sure older units are still up to speed. Just to make the playerbase happier yk.
I played in 1.0 and quit and came back on firefly banner. It has been an endless grind to work on getting characters to a point to try and clear the final level of any limited event. I still haven't been able to even clear both sides of any mode
Hoyoverse uses several tactics to manipulate you, which includes hiring people to make fake social media accounts that push for the narrative that every character is a must pull to hiring youtubers to convince ypu in pulling for every character. In game, they change end game content to suit the character currently running and right now they are inflatung hp to encourage u to pull. Hoyo has also been experimenting with double bar break bossss in form of hooley to nerf firefly who basically can clear one side thanks to her weakness implant
This is one of the truest things ive ever seen. Players are basically forced to get the new broken characters just to even have rhe chance to clear the new end game content
I've seen one person complete this moc with only 4* characters using a strategy related to moze and preservation march's follow up atacks and yukong's massive buffs on all of his follow ups, the team also contained tingyun.
The second side was all about action advancing and massive speed with asta, gallagher, hanya and serval, both harmonies using s5 ddd. I can't remember the name of the person who did it but it was a chinese creator

Developers thinking that additional HP means it is more difficult is too common these days. Interesting mechanics that require actual planning to beat, that is what we want.
What teams are they? Are they maxed and well built? Cause I find that quite hard to believe.

Dude, you're so right; thank you for this video! I came to HSR from Genshin (still playing it), expecting the same type of balance, but, my man, I'm so tired of it. I hate how they always powercreep their characters and make old ones really hard to play. My favorite character is Argenti, and it's a PAIN to make his team clear 12 MOC within 5 cycles or less. I've fully cleared MOC 12 a few times, and then I literally can't! I hate how the HSR team does their game. My Genshin acc is 1,4k days old already, and I still play my c6 Lisa, a starter character, who is able to fully clear 12 floor Abyss! I know I will manage to make my Argenti even better in the future, changing his and his supports' set to new ones, but it bugs me so much that HP of the enemies becomes more and more enormous while they give no buff to other types of gameplay excluding meta ones.

This is partially why i am this part casual part hardcore gamer in this game. It's pretty much impossible to clear no matter the builds you have. You NEED the character hoyo is pushing in whatever endgame otherwise its E6S5 to clear....
If the problem isn't appearent enough, look at Braxophone's Jingliu. She's E6S5 and i genuinely couldn't tell until i saw the comments talking about how the E6S5 jingliu is barely outDPSING an e0s1 acheron💀 meanwhile in genshin a c6r5 DPS from 1.x(say,childe) can easily crush all the endgame content with ease. Meanwhile JL needs ice weak to do damage even at E6S5😭
and whats funnier is that you dont even need something like even a c0r1, he can just clear with standard wpn or a 4* wpn
ZZZ not even hitting 2.0 and already suffers from this. The new Shiyu Defense meta right now is disorder dps and if you try to brute force using your 1.0 standart attack-stun-support party, you DEFINITELY not gonna be able to go A Rank, Let alone S Rank.

I quit ZZZ after just one month because I saw that writing on the wall. Too many required character banners back to back to back, and I saw that the game is just for whales, too. Can't whale in ALL these games 😅
ZZZ's endgame is laughably easy right now, you can quite literally solo shiyu 7 with characters such as Jane and Yanagi, at E0S0. Also, the game having 3 character teams instead of 4 helps immensely

That is one of the reasons why I quit HSR. They are basically just reusing the same boss, slapping a new skin (like with the gorilla wearing a cap) while boosting the HP by a LOT! This is one of the easiest ways to powercreep your hard earned 5 stars because newly released 5 stars are fully loaded to entice you from spending. What a cunning tactic.. For the record, I have spent close to $1000 and regret doing it. At least, I am gacha free now..
I also spent that much lol. Still clearing but I’m close to quitting. If 3.0 doesn’t live up to expectations then I’m done.

Completely didn't need some of the characters I went for. Fugue will be the same thing. I just don't need her, but I want her, and then my account will be screwed even more. Doesn't feel good, because you sort of need the right teams in order to play the freakin' game, which is the endgame.
I left this game due to how annoying i found the gear system but assume the endgame modes to be great if i did the grind. It's unfortunate to see how hard and fast powercreep and hp bloat has the endgame modes.

As a person with only ONE meta character, who I was originally gonna skip.. I just play the simulated universe. I’ve given up on trying to keep up with this game. Like, I patiently waited soooo long to get Blade, Argenti, Boothill, Aventurine, cause I loved their characters. Like, what am I supposed to do now?? Stare at them all day?? I’ve been doing that for months, give me something else to do I’m BEGGING
F2p and cleared it BUT most f2ps can't clear unless they're meta slaves or just lucky(like i could never if i didn't won 5 50/50's in a row, and these include feixiao and ruan mei which is a huge deal.)Yet i still suffered.Usually i bring up seele for moc11, but SHE struggled, a lot. Despite having the matched weakness,s1, e1s1 bronya and sparkle(even tried s1 robin), decent full set build,traces being 9 etc etc..
just forget it. Also the 3 million spike is atrocious, moc 11 is spongier than 2.4 moc 12.
And I'll just give up moc 11-12 when summon meta drops. proud to say I managed to clear moc 12 full stars today (79 attempts...) no jiaoqiu no limited sustain besides lingsha who I pulled out of desperation
first half firefly(e1 s1), ruan mei, hmc, gallagher
second half acheron(s1), sparkle, lingsha and welt!
struggled with surviving on second half SM and had gepard + lingsha both but only got 18 cycles
eventually cracked it after putting lingsha on a break/ atk build and welt on a spd/ break build with pearls of sweat lc to replace pela, think the double aoe with lingsha and welt helped massively
10 cycles, ff 3 acheron 7 (why is she falling off so hard without jiaoqiu)

hoyoverse needs to understand, that while making characters op is fine, THEY CANT FORKIRONI IGNORE THE FACT THAT YOU STILL NEED TO GIVE PEOPEL A CHANCE TO CLEAR WITHOUT METS BREAKING UNITS. MY ACHERON, MY ACHERON, CANT CLEA MOC 12 IN 4 CYCLES ANYMORE. AND I HAVE JIAOQIU PELA AND ROBIN. BRONYA TOO, AND MY RAPPA SUPERBREAK TEAM ISNT DOING DOG WATER. Honkai is good at some things, a lot even, but the endgame is just ridiculously bad and its 50% of the content, if the game implemented more ways to get jades, like endgame but its with cards or building, or even just challenges with other players, this would genuinely be fine, but no. I love hsr, but this is getting ridiculous, they do give a bunch of players ways to keep up with giving us at least 93 pulls a patch to farm, its still not enough. because if you're going to release op character after op character it won't matter anymore, none of it will. No old characters buffed, no new characters who cant be decent because of design and FOMO being a way hoyo gets money, nothing will matter. it will become stale, and hopeless, if it doesnt give us more. an example of good endgame is the simulated universe, it wont punish you for not being meta and you can do whatever while getting jades. everything else? it will punish you for not getting a character, its becoming powercreep kingdom. I don't even like acheron, i only got her because i was STRUGGLING with endgame, i got robin because i likedher character but also because endgame, i skipped my favorite character aventurine for meta and i regret it so hard because i genuinely love him, but my past self saw robin having much more value, much more versitality so i skipped. And if im getting punished for not being a whale, or spending, i won't like it as much. honestly an advice ill give to people reading my comment, please just slap some sense into hoyo and tell them to at least add something else other than combat because if they don't they will eventually crash and burn.this is basically a rant, and its because of me burning out, and getting hype and playing, and burning out--- and its happening every month.

It's a predatory gacha like all the other games they make, they're only buffed by pulling for the new unit that needs investment too, in some cases, even eidolons or constellations. i think the reason why 2nd half boss has so much hp cos the boss shared hp with the mobs, optimally youll need to use an aoe characters, not blast or single target, like acheron/rappa, so the big exccess aoe damage is funneled into the boss ,and yes ofc this boss is tailor made for rappa, mobs, shared hp, and imaginary weak is just perfect for her

Not too mention that the monkey boss actively rewards you for engaging w/ it's mechanics e.g. free atk buff, free energy, and free team advance. I do think they still need to tone down the hp a bit tho, it feels a bit too overtuned. I cleared monkey in my first blind attempt w/ superbreak Himeko team btw(E6 Gal, E0S0 RM, and E6 HMC), so it somewhat confuses me that ppl can't clear it w/ Rappa somehow. I also tried w/ superbreak Serval and it was actually a cycle faster lol.
This MoC is currently very weird because this MoC still caters to whoever owns Rappa, which is less than 30% of the whole playerbase. I can link the logic of 5 Million HP Monke Bosses countered by the Erudition character. It suits the weaknesses too. If you don't have her, well I guess you're f*cked because we're way past the point of her banner. Mind you Firefly is overall better Break DPS character. However, this MoC fares much better if you had the other Break DPS, it lets you get the benefits of the Boss mechanic. but then again, getting benefits from solely a single character is still dumb. (part of their marketing strategy i guess).
With that said. I agree with your takes on 0 cycling, don't care about it. it gives arbitrary reward. 10 cycles is all you need bare minimum. 3 stars is what matters. take the 800 Stellar Jades and move on with our lives

Rappa will be better than firefly once fugue drops really helps her with the weakness breaking and exo skeleton

I went from 2 cycles in the last MOC to 5 turns in this one. One day I won't be able to get 10 turns.
Man I was so confused why my teams were so bad with this moc. I normally don’t have any problem doing 3-4 cycles. It took me 9 cycles to clear this time
The most important is These HP inflation is bad for casual.
Before, finishing MoC is a symbol of pride. Now, it is just a roster check. No matter how meticulously build your favorite units, you will never finish MoC without the new meta units.
This MoC is still doable. I did it with Dhil on one side (albeit E2) and Blade on the other.
It's the next one that looks garbage.
At this point, why bother pulling for new characters if they gonna get power creep 1 or 2 patch later.

I really like the banan crew boss, like, the sirens and the mechanic of happy/angry they have. The only problem for me is THAT hp, and the worse is not even the bananas, Svarog and elites hp is ridiculous.
This one I actually agree on, I get that this was supposed to be end game content for people who smartly invested in their own progress. Stat balancing bosses are a thing but by this much is just way too unreasonable.
That just doesn't make for a very fun game, though, and it's going to push people away from the game. All that will be left are whales and meta slaves.

It's just that the thing that separates HSR and say, something like Genshin, is that HSR is heavily about the endgame, and you're sort of funneled into it if you want to continue playing the game. But... It doesn't have the flexibility that other games have. It feels like you must acquire certain characters and their ideal teammates very frequently if you want to fully clear the content, and... there's a heavy incentive to do so for all those jades.
It's literally that "anxiety" problem that we memed on the Genshin devs for a few years ago.
The people in the beta are the ones playing the real game. They get to experiment with different builds and teams to their heart's content, where we have to be extremely meticulous in our pulls and resources spent. We don't get to experiment. We have to meta slave.
imagine for the meta f2p, who try they best to get the good characters to get bailou every time. and every patch we got 2 new characters to make a new power creep. im tierd to get a 5* in pit 83+. 75pit in this game is a lie. I only wish to enjoy this game but the fomo is high and I feel so not rewarded by the game in the pulls, is disgusting

When they keep releasing new units, it really started to worry me, especially when genshin had their first full rerun patch at 2.2 and Star rail hasn’t had one yet. Like we NEED a full rerun patch, both phases only reruns, no new characters, a break period for 2 months
The very least one rerun for a phase and Star rail didn’t have this till 2.6 and it was two high meta units, Aventurine and Acheron! Genshin had their first in 1.4 (correct me if my knowledge is wrong btw!)
It probably won’t solve the problem but a break period would be nice, because like you said, it’s like we gotta whale to keep up with harder content
Am so glass that you show this up, as the one that's never see a boss HP in website but after I finish this MOC cycle I feel so wrong with this, normally I will only need 4 or 5 cycle max to clear but this time is cost me 9 cycle to clear this thing and with 2 best team right now (firefly SB and Feoxiao FUA) and is not even close to imagine how people can 3 star with other team man.
As someone who played genshin it doesnt even surprise me. It's usually X.6-X.8 where HP get super inflated and then go down on Y.0, is it still inflated? Yes to the point where 90% of 4 stars are useless along side 5* limited characters and yes it will get worse, genshin showed it
Ive completely lost interest in playing the game because of this, doing moc used to be very fun and something i always looked foward to but now it feels like youre hitting your head against a rock for 10 turns, praying to god that the enemies dont focus every attack on a single character, kill them and make you reset, and also i dont fucking know how or why they keep spamming buffs for break effect on every single game mode when you basicaly cannot make 2 good super break teams since theres no substitute for hmc/ruan mei. And now instead of focusing on adding more options for older teams they are just gonna add a new team comp in the form of rememberance and force everyone to pull for a entire new team lmao, this game is slowly killing itself with its balancing.

I Played the first Stage with my DoT Team and the Second one with Himeko, harmony TB, ruan Mei and Gallagher.
You can actually abuse the new boss in the Second Wave and get many Speed buffs and ultimate Charges. The extra Auto damage for breaking enemies make a Lot of damage as Well.
Took me 10 attemps to clear with Acheron 1st side and FF break 2nd.. the second boss is absolutely ridiculous and I feel like with the release of the new planet and their characters they're really going to push us to switch over the new remembrance path.
My acheron was actually better for second side because the boss is 5 target shared hp.

Hot take maybe, but to me Acheron is not the problem, FUA is the problem. This Feixiao team is so ridiculously overpowered it puts older wind dps like Blade to shame. Like everyone compares Neuvi to Ayato but at least Ayato can still clear Abyss just fine with the right amount of investment, meanwhile in HSR… it doesn’t matter how good your skills are if at the end all it comes down to is how much money you’ve put into the meta characters.
FUA isn't the issue. It's just the rapid increase of enemy hp. Granted the MoC blessing does do a lot of damage this go around, but what would happen in the future if the MoC blessing doesn't do nearly the same amount of damage. A good number of players would end up being cooked.

@@usubenidango personally I feel like Acheron started the initial feeling of powercreep, (because jingliu and dhil were strong, buh Acheron’s multipliers were so absurd, she is definitely stronger). So I feel like Acheron started it, but I feel like superbreak is one of the bigger problems because of how easy it is to get going. I do agree with the influx of new characters being fua and how some see that as an issue, even tho I like fua the most so I’m a little biased. But I do agree, we do need more DOT and we need hp manipulation. Blade was my first limited dps and I loved using him back in the day, and I would love to use him again.

Why not just make the game increasingly difficult without HP inflation? Make the fight and combat much more interesting. Make the players think more. Make it complicated. This is how I feel like everytime I play ZZZ, it's just smashing buttons, no strategy, no combat Team, just spam shit combo it looks cool and cinematic
It took me 99 attempts and several build swaps, praying crits would land, and different comps of the same 10 characters to 12 star this. It honestly made me not want to even try in future MoCs if the characters I've put time into building can barely even meet the minimum now.
The worst part about these newer bosses is that while they do have somewhat interesting core gimmicks, they're almost entirely designed to be nullified or destroyed by whatever character released around them. Hoolay's Action Economy race is fun on paper, until you realise that hes entirely decimated by Yunli and Feixiao. The Banana Robot boss has *some* interesting things going on, with its Break gimmick and Shared HP, until you realise that that's precisely checked by Rappa's entire Kit.
Something Unto Death and Aventurine of Strategems are fun bosses because their gimmicks dont rely on a specific archetype or character to counter. You can tank Aventurine's gamble mechanic with a sufficiently tanky Preservation character, get multiple single target rolls of the Dice with Action Advance, Offensive Ults, or FuAs, or just use a Blast/AoE DPS to proc multiple at once.
With Something Unto Death, its core gimmick is incredibly important, but also entirely within the Player's control. You can rescue captured characters with DoT, but FuA, Blast, and weakness targeting are all equally viable, and the mechanic rewards you with a full Energy refill for your team.
SAM, similarly, i really enjoy, and i blame his lack of incorporation into MoC for the sheer rise of both Firefly and Robin teams. Requiring that you spend several SP damaging the boss elevates Qingque and Imbibitor Lunae to a useful standing, yes, but it can also be mitigated by running a Dual DPS team, running a Nihility over a Harmony, or running Harmony characters with offensive skills, such as Asta and Hanya.
Superbreak is such a limited archetype, because it straight up doesn't work if the weaknesses dont align, so they've either been making characters that cheat the rules (Firefly), while also specifically tailoring bosses and supports for said archetype. We haven't had to worry about Gepard, Bronya, SAM, or Ebon Deer locking their weaknesses for an incredibly long time. Instead we get Past, Present, and Eternal Show (Blast Break boss, tailored for Firefly), Sunday Boss (Aoe Break boss with shared HP, tailored for Firefly and Rappa) Feixiao Boss (AoE Break Shared HP, once again Tailored for Firefly) and now Banacademic Office Staff (AoE shared HP Break Boss, tailored for Firefly and Rappa)
The HP is indeed an issue, the enemies are not too interesting and it just takes more time to kill them. I managed to beat this MoC in 6 cycles. The Kafka DoT team with Kafka/Black Swan/Ruan Mei/Huo Huo was on Node 1. The Node 2 team was E6S1 Acheron/E2S1 Aventurine/Bronya/E2S1 Silver Wolf. Even with these rather costly units it took some cycles. But honestly as long as i can clear it with 3 stars any cycle amount is fine. Apocalyptic Shadow is my endgame bane, difficulty 4 is a bit too exhausting to even do often.
I love Jingliu too. I'm hoping to be able to use her again on a team of both Bronya(E1) and Sunday. Probably Aventurine in 4th slot for comfy-ness. we'll see I guess.
Yes the 5M hp is bad, I had trouble with it as well but the boss is designed for erudition characters like Rappa
this is why I stay at MOC 10. Everything beyond is for hyperinvest teams, teams that take advantage of the buff, and the whales lol
Yeah even my team of Firefly, Gallagher, Harmony mc and Ruan Mei had problems with the monkey boss. First side wasn't that bad actually but it was so long with Robin, Aventurine, Topaz and my Feixiao who's cr/cd ratio is literally 101%/185% and 3k atk. It's getting really annoying with the hp buffs to the enemies
it's why I don't feel particularly inclined to spend in the game anymore. Instead of designing interesting kits (like summons... it's literally almost 3.0 before Jingyuan gets Sunday to help him out), interesting mechanics (where are my hp fluctuation supports? Where DoT support?), and interesting bosses to fight against and instead just adds a bunch of hp to the monsters. They already have a track record of getting lazy after a while (cough Genshin cough) where they only add a bunch of hp to monsters and make specific play styles literally unplayable and go extinct (cough mono geo and physical cough). It's not like they don't have the budget to make better and more interesting fights and cutscenes instead of making us stand around in a yap fest for hours (like how Ryuuku sensei said). Their character designs, looks-wise, have been uninteresting and uninspiring for a while. No useable 4 stars outside of March 8th. 5 star standard lightcones are hot garbage, making it an extra pain in the ass when you lose the 25/75.
In conclusion, they're not trying to sell us characters with interesting story, interesting kits, and interesting mechanics anymore. They're straight up selling us stat sticks, by power creeping every end game content with more and more hp.
I couldn't even three star MoC 10. YES, TEN. With my well built Boothill & HMC (No Ruan Mei)... I had to use two damn sustains (Gallagher & Aventurine) because HOOLAY HAS SO MANY DAMN TURNS 💀 I legit couldn't clear with 7 cycles remaining. SEVEN

the key to the office staff boss is bringing AoE and forcing them to keep buffing your team. The fight actually becomes stupid easy when they're throwing ATK buffs, SP, energy, and action advances at your team
I do agree the HP is a bit too high, but I think just seeing the HP there in a vacuum isn't telling the whole picture for that specific boss
I myself cleared side 2 in 3 cycles with Guinaifen and Black Swan, certainly not "meta" units
AoE is king in the fight, the shared HP pool means all your AoE become super powered beyond what blast/single target damage can do
example: a 200% AoE ultimate suddenly becomes a 1000% ultimate
your 100% dmg aoe skill? is now basically 500% damage
there is a Herta zero cycle on side two by Ruri Goku here on youtube if you're curious
based on the comps you showed, Feixiao shouldn't have much issue side 1, obviously
but Firefly isn't a great option side two, sure she's fast, but she doesn't have that much AoE power, and her standard team comp doesn't have a solid way to break the 2 and 4 TVs if they get tutored. The Fire Weaknesses are also spread out on 1,3,5 so no way to blast more then two, and targetting one means the adjacent enemies are fire resistant
just because there is a fireweakness doesn't mean firefly is ideal for that fight
I've seen some sub 5 cycle clears by Super Break Jiaoqiu, Jade/Lingsha, Topaz/Herta, Argenti, Serval, superbreak and hyper carry himeko, and of course Acheron
honestly this is the best designed boss of 2.0 once you figure it out
I would've agreed with you if those ppl you mentioned didn't build the characters to the max with very specific relic sets like the eagle set just to advance forward like for real who is gonna build their characters on eagle set as a default? Those ppl you mentioned have almost studied the game to the nook and cranny and if that's what it takes to clear the last stages of the game with 4 star characters just so I can get an extra 80 jades then Hoyo can have them because it shouldn't be that difficult when you already have 5 star characters but welp they got powercrept because Hoyo needs some money.

@@GameOver-ou1gethe eagle set has been in the game for like the entire life. If you haven't built it once that's YOUR FAULT. So people using a majority 4 stars is at fault for using eagle set? Moving the goalpost are we? Like yes, they are going to use any FREE method to enhance subpar units. That's the point. Using any tech possible to clear should be the way you do things by not having to spend money or jades saved up. I do the same when showing my friends I don't need any limit characters to full clearing any mode.

Endgame is supposed to be harder and harder, what is the point of endgame and pulling for new characters if your 1.x units are doing fine? To be a waifu collector? I mean sure, if you want to play hsr as pokemon ok for you then, but if your whole purpose is to collect waifus, you shouldn't even be bothered to clear endgame for 80 gems lmao.
If you want to use old units, as the comment above says there's a lot of ways like in su to beat moc, if you don't want to do it, you just don't want to play bruh.
I got 9 cycles (2 cycles with Acheron and 7 cycles with Firefly because I swear to god they won’t stop debuffing me), the banana boss is 100% designed for Rappa’s kit and it’s genuinely annoying if they keep designing bosses that can only be “easily” cleared by certain characters gimmicks
My DHIL may not be meta, but i dont care, I just do whatever I can with him and dont care to 3 star anymore. Its not worth the headache
I've been slipping off of star rail for a while now for the very reasons you state. You're right. Jingliu is just bad now and it hurts my feelings. I've made reverse 1999 my main game because they respect people's pulls more. All of their premium characters are still very good so I don't have to feel bad about spending on a character for them to be utterly unplayable in nine months.
I’ve never did the endgame content before because I’m in the middle of building characters then I get bored of building characters and drop the game for months to a year then come back and the meta is completely different

This is what I cleared with:
First half - E0S1 Feixiao/E2 Moze/E1 Robin/E1S1 Aventurine
Second half - E0 Firefly/E0S1 Ruan Mei/E6 HMC/E4 Gallagher
It took me the full 10 cycles. The WORST of the two halves was the second half. That 5mil HP sponge of a boss was what took so damned long. This is not okay. My Firefly that is DECENTLY built with a well built Ruan Mei/HMC/Gallagher should NOT take that many to clear. My Firefly doesn't have her sig but a S5 herta cone. I tried a second time and managed to 2-cycle with an E6 hunt March. Second half was a shitshow.
I have a very well built Aventurine and Robin. My Feixiao is also decently built. And I STILL struggled. I even recorded the clear itself. Sure, I make some mistakes, but the fact we are relying on units that are OP is unfortunate. The fact that we're essentially going to be REQUIRED to whale in order to proceed is ridiculous.
I'm pulling Sunday. I'm pulling Jing Yuan's light cone.
The HP sponge issue is absolute BS. Now I want to try all 4*s just to see if I can manage it.

I was able to true 0-cycle last MoC for the first time with picking up Rappa. Now I 0-cycled the first side, but side 2 wave 2, the freaking monkeys made me need 2 whole cycles just to do the 5 million hp.
Glad I'm not the only one, even Firefly, one of my strongest teams struggles against this cause my other members were getting cooked by that Banana Group Boss. It's not her but Trailblazer being the victim most of the time even with a shielder on the team. I don't know if Hoyo's gonna make another Preservation unit but if they do, I hope is a Break-Centered Defender cause Gepard couldn't keep up with that Banana Group Boss
I stopped playing because of the power creep. I pulled Feixiao and really like her, had fun, but I realised at that point that I likely will only enjoy her for a few months until she is obsolete. And it's not just that, you have to pull a whole team (or at least half a team) for many of the characters. Sorry, I don't feel like it anymore. I am happy to be proven wrong and will revisit the game in 3.4 or something to see how it developed
I took a break after getting jingliu then came back during boothill’s banner and my characters were so outdated I had to get both Ruan Mei and firefly, I didn’t even want ff I got her because she’s so op. I hope they’ll do something about it in the future because it’s getting ridiculous

I still can't understand how in the previous MOC with Aventurine at level 12 I passed it with three stars this time when it is at level 11 I didn't reach three stars. Like, how? I use the same characters with the same build.

My teams are DHIL, Jingliu and Firefly (Luocha, Aven, RM, Robin & Sparkle supports)... im just a casual player that just make do with decent artifacts. This game shits on my units daily 😂
I'm F2P and have been playing since day 1 of 1.0. I already abandoned the idea of rolling for characters I LIKE, because there's no way I can clear endgame stuff if I don't hard-focus the meta. I learned that lesson the hard way when I rolled for Sparkle because I really loved playing DHIL, just to have HoYo floor the gas pedal on Break and FUA and make DHIL nearly completely unusable. Because I had rolled for Sparkle, I didn't have enough jades for Robin, and then lost the 50/50 on Firefly. Sparkle has been collecting dust in the meantime.
Because of one "mistake" on my part, I spent the rest of 2.x struggling to fullclear endgame modes. Sometimes I'd do 50+ tries with different teams, praying for good enemy RNG (which, turns out, can save you 3 entire cycles), building characters in weird ways to make it through (BE Serval anyone?), and often clearing on the very last action before the time limit. Sometimes spending weeks farming relics just to squeeze out that 2 extra speed or little bit of extra BE that pushed my teams over the edge of being able to do this content.
But I did make it. I did fullclear all 2.x endgame modes without Robin or Firefly. Never again making the mistake of rolling for characters I like though. If HoYo changed anything, I wish they'd take the current powerlevel of Break/FUA and make that the target for other archetypes to hit, so that we'll have 6-7 archetypes with approximately the same powerlevel, without scaling higher than we already have. And then make less restrictive enemies so we can actually bring a variety of teams to clear the endgame instead of being forced into Break for Sunday or FUA/Counter for Hoolay.
