About 20 years ago, I made 120 wedding invitations for a friend using light and shadows...a seascape with various elements...had no tools like here except for stencils and ball tools...each was individually created, each a little different...in a cream colored card stock. They were lovely and she was very pleased.
Wow! That was a lot of work! I was just thinking the other day about how much work was involved when we made our cards 20+ years ago. Fussy cutting, plastic templates for shapes, and manually embossing with a stylus!! (I’m also thankful of all the electric tools we have now!!)
I love it when you show an easy alternative, sometimes I get lost in a store or online shopping thinking I need everylittlething! Your clean white cards are just stunning! I enjoyed this series; Full of great tips & tricks! Thanks Maymay! 😘
I love these all white cards. I don't have the dies but maybe I can find something like this in Design Space and cut something. Waiting to get the stamp set. Can't wait to get started. I have needed Sympathy cards so I'm excited. Thanks for all your wonderful videos!
I use that tree embossing folder for white sympathy cards alot. I add 3 or 4 small die-cut butterflies, leaving the wings loose to bend up. I've done mostly black butterflies but the white on white looks pretty too.
I don't have a die cut machine, or any plans to get one, but I think I can use my lattice stencil with vinyl spackle or glass bead gel, to get a similar 3D look on a card front. 👍
Wow! I have the same flower embossing folder a similar lattice die and I absolutely love these! I’ve been making sympathy cards here lately, but this would also be great for “Thank You” cards also!
I’ve done thank you cards and all white except for the sentiment and if you green leaves. Anxious to try the all white sympathy cards. They’re beautiful.
Maymay, you always do a great job explaining what and why you are doing something. And you always demonstrate alternate ways of doing things. Thank you for sharing your talent. This was a great series!! Stay safe!
Wowza Maymay! I do believe the all white cards are my favorite of this series! Absolutely stunning! Thank you again for taking the time to provide this fantastic series to all of us! 😁
BEAUTIFUL. Really appreciate your sympathy card series. I've finally got a supply in my stash for these cards I send during difficult times. Your cards were truly inspirational.
I made a very similar sympathy card a couple months ago. Lattice embossing on white cardstock, sentiment strip glued on top. Wow, I really AM learning. 🙂 It looks like what they say about old dogs is true!😉 Thanks for the idea of layering die cuts. I'll try that in the future.
I just searched they my dies. I found two that I think will work great. I need more sympathy cards in my stash. Theses r my fav of your series. Thanks for the inspirations.

Hello, I have a magnetic bottom plate which is awesome but I always put the paper down first then the die . I notice you did the opposite. Do you know if it makes a difference? I wonder if I’m doing it wrong. Have a wonderful day. Beautiful cards. Thank you

If you use a makeup sponge dipped in glue to apply the glue on delicate cuts it makes it really easy to apply.

Hello, I have a magnetic bottom plate which is awesome but I always put the paper down first then the die . I notice you did the opposite. Do you know if it makes a difference? I wonder if I’m doing it wrong. Have a wonderful day. Beautiful cards. Thank you

What about spray adhesive to glue those two dies together...
I’m not a fan of spray adhesives, I do not like cleaning it up or breathing it. I know some people love it but it’s not my fav.
