Yep, doing sympathy cards in 'the heat of the moment' is definitely not the way to go. Much better to do them with a calm mind. These are elegant and understated. There's something about that fern that's just right. Thank you for the inspo for these difficult cards that we don't like to think about - but all need at some time.
Beautiful cards. Yes it is good to have sympathy cards on hand. They are hard to make “in the moment” when they are needed. These turned out really nice. The embossing designs are perfect.
No bling needed with all the sparkly embossing and splatters. Loved these cards and your beautiful they were. Embossing folders here I come. Thanks again for all your lovely tips and techniques.
Amy, as usual, just loving the color combos on these cards. The gold splatter and embossing, just to quote you…” chefs kiss”! I need to make thank you cards and definitely thinking to use these colors. Beautiful. Thank you.
Thankyou Amy. I had 2 deaths in the family, this month one on Christmas and December 18. I wasnt prepared . I have no Stamps or Dies or any ideas for that. I took your link and ran with it. I'm Old my self. It never entered my mind to make condolence cards. Yours are absolutely beautiful. Thanks again.
Very artistic and tasteful...I like them I don't like overly mushy sentiments ...I like things to be sincere and simple about death. So I like the simplicity of the cards.....................
Excellent, perfect, and yes -- no bling please. These are exactly the kind of card I would want to send. And I agree, having them on hand rather doing them under pressure or while hurting is the way to go to make this difficult task a little easier. Really good job, Amy. And your words were fine.
Amy I just want to say how much I love seeing your lovely face. I have always loved your very fun personality and it’s so nice to be able to put a face to the voice. You are a delight and I love your channel and all you bring to the table. You are so gifted and helpful. Thank you for all you do for this community. GOD bless you my dear. Oh and I love these cards!👍❤️
Amy, love those cards. Classy and elegant for the occasion . All those special touches play very nicely together on that kraft card stock. Your video has inspired me for the need. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
Amy, these cards are gorgeous. I love this style for sympathy cards. I unfortunately have had to make many sympathy cards in the last 2 months. 😢 Thank for share your creativity with us. ❤❤
These are really beautiful and like you said, the kraft paper mutes the colors. Like I would’ve never guessed cracked pistachio!! Wonderful cards as always ❤
In the last two years I have watched over 2500 card making videos. Today although perhaps I have seen similar techniques, I actually was so impressed with a great many of your techniques that are habits for you, that I made a note of them in my special computer file. Thank you. I'll be watching you.
Ces cartes sont tellement belles et élégantes! Je trouve qu'elles correspondent parfaitement aux sentiments. Merci. These cards are so beautiful and elegant! I find that they correspond perfectly to the feelings. Thanks.
When you did it, the green splatter wasn't very visible - but in the final close-ups, I can see that it really adds to the cards. I haven't made any sympathy cards, either, in ages. Then just last week a friend asked me to make her 8 sympathy cards. Then I decided while I was on a roll, I would make a bunch for my sister (as a pastor's wife, she sends a lot of sympathy cards.). Then I realized I really didn't have any on hand myself, and made more - and here you are doing the same! These are both lovely and quick to make; thanks for sharing.
These are so very nice. I like the understated/quiet design. These are tough cards to create and so necessary to have on hand. They will mean a lot to the recipient. Thank you for the idea and layout of these cards.
Beautiful beautiful cards Amy. Totally agree that of all cards to have a few on hand, sympathy cards are the most important and the most difficult to make at the time they are needed. Plus of all the handmade cards to give to someone, a sympathy card is so very much appreciated by the recipient. These 4 are subtle and understated and elegant, just perfect. ❤😘
The sentiment on vellum is beautiful! I have to get out my embossing folders and try this out. Simple, beautiful and necessary! Thanks for sharing the inside of the card as well! Thanks for the video!
These are soooo elegant and beautiful. I'll have to remember these next time I need a sympathy card. I like that stamp set for SSS. Thank you for sharing
Absolutely gorgeous! I always struggle with sympathy cards because I over think it. And getting so many "store bought" cards is sad when you're the one receiving them.
These cards are lovely, and they’d be appreciated at the time of passing. The colors are perfect and so is that fern! I’ve got that stamp set, too, and it’s just right for many uses. Thanks so much, Amy! 💌 🫶🏻
These cards are simply perfect and would definitely be great to have on hand for when needed. My husband's cousin just lost their 3 year old son and I just have not been able to think of making a sympathy card, much less know what to say in it. This set looks like it has some great messages that would work. Thanks for sharing!
Pretty cards. The bones are my favorites. I had doubts when you had them in the splat box with how dark they looked but they absorbed and dried back to beautiful colors!
As with Susan, I wasn't too impressed but when I saw them finished, I changed my mind. I loved the vellum and the little gold splatters. Ruth down under.
So beautiful Amy. The kraft bases are perfect and I LOVE the combo of colours you used, the greens feel really calm and appropriate for a Sympathy card. They are each absolutely beautiful cards xoxo
Hi, I love the fern cards mostly because the colors and splashes go very well together. ❤ The vine ones, I find the colors a bit dull, maybe it's an optical illusion. Like them anyway! The fact of making them in advance is a great idea. Thanks for sharing this with us.
My work space is a total mess too. I wish I could work differently but I haven’t managed to learn how. I once melted a new stamping platform with my heat gun. Love these cards, and I need to make sympathy cards too. Thank you.
Great job Amy! These cards turned out incredible and it's good to have them on hand. I thought they were pretty ugly at first and wondered what you were thinking, LOL, but you pulled it off once again!!!!
Amy these cards are just beautiful and so appropriate. You are so right it’s one of the hardest cards to get happy about creating it. I like you try to make a few ahead. Thank you Amy, you are so appreciated.
Lovely cards 💝 and having them done ahead of time keeps me from overthinking the situation. I must check my embossing folders, as always thank you for the inspiration.
Perfect for sympathy - or anything, but still perfect for sympathy. I love the sparkle and two tone sentiment inside and colors you chose - works for both male and female. Now to go through my stash and find something with the same impact.
Not sure how I missed this video but it will be one I will refer to again. These cards are beautiful and perfect for any occasion but the subtlety really lends itself to sympathy cards. At first, I couldn’t see how the inks you were using would end up looking soft like in the thumbnail but then I realized once they dried, they just blended together. Glad I watched this. Thank you ,Amy.. P.S. I agree that bling is not needed on sympathy cards.
Thanks for doing these. It’s hard to address this subject for so many people. I’m always unsure if I overdo and might hurt someone’s feelings. Loved these very much. 💜💜
My go to sympathy card is using the Altenew 3-D embossing folder (flower of some sort) with a touch of ink to highlight. Then a sentiment. I like the use of the vellum strip though. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

When you first started blending these, I had my doubts, but they turned out amazing. The sentiment on vellum was a great touch. Beautiful cards, Amy❣️
Great cards

Very nice sympathy cards! I love that they are on the subtle side and have a nature vibe.
Your sympathy cards are lovely. I think the oxides on the desert storm add a softness that is perfect for this type of card. Thank you for sharing.
Lovely cards Amy. Thank you for sharing 😊
Perfect. They are soft and just enough shine.
These are beautiful. I wasn't honestly sure about the colors to begin with,😂😮, but they were gorgeous when they dried.
Beautiful cards Amy 🥰 I love the embossing folders, your ink blending and the sentiments ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
These are lovely Amy. I agree you need to make these way ahead of time. Your nails look so good with your rings!!!! 😊

Hello Amy, Beautiful cards. You have inspired me to pull out my embossing folders.
simple design, but elegant cards. thanks so much for sharing.
Lovely cards 💝 and having them done ahead of time keeps me from overthinking the situation. I must check my embossing folders, as always thank you for the inspiration.

I put bling on sympathy cards - this time I just felt it wasn't needed
Those are lovely. I was glad to hear your discussion of the craft knife. I bleed on my projects enough as it is!
Thanks for doing these. It’s hard to address this subject for so many people. I’m always unsure if I overdo and might hurt someone’s feelings. Loved these very much. 💜💜
Definitely color combos I wouldn’t think of but they work. These are beautiful 💜
Very pretty and simple cards. I like them.
Some lovely cards xxx ❤
Thank you for the tips for sympathy cards! Just beautiful!
My go to sympathy card is using the Altenew 3-D embossing folder (flower of some sort) with a touch of ink to highlight. Then a sentiment. I like the use of the vellum strip though. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
Almost clean and simple! 🤣🤣. Love them!
We agree its better to have a few sympathy cards made up. Thanks for sharing your creations and Happy Crafting x
Gorgeous, gorgeous cards and great tips
