Wow that is alot of work to put every saved game on its own games memory card. I bought one but after seeing this ill probably just save it to use with a different gamecube to start new games on.
How do I take the 100% saves from gcsaves website and put them on my memcard pro gc without using wifi or gcmm? I just want to take the memcard pro gc micro sd card and put it in my PC manually. How do I use dolphin's memory card manage to do this? I think I remember you used to have a better video showing this but removed it for some reason?
Neat! SO when switching games (if you arn't using a moded system) does the card automatically recognize and switch to the corresponding VR-MEM Card that you stored that game in? Or do you mannually surf through the virtual cards before you load up the game using the screen and buttons?
I've tried your method with 4 different copy protected save files for 4 different games now and it isn't working. Just so I'm getting this right, Launch the game from swiss until the GC Pro creates a save partition (Game name shows on the screen) - then reboot and use GCMM to move my original save from the OG card to an SD Card, reinsert the GC Pro and copy it back over using GCMM as normal. GC Pro still shows the correct mounted game, but when I try to launch the title via swiss, there is no save file. Am I doing something wrong?
I have a question about the memory card. Can you update with a Wii that can play GameCube games? My GameCube is currently being modded, so I figured I would try updating my memory card with that. However it shows to keep looping 8bitmods, and 0%
Because it's just a GC memory card it works on the Wii right? I modded a Wii and want to move saves to one of these. Also how simple is it to swap between the memory cards? I do lets plays with my brother and we have own own personal saves on top of our lets play saves. So swapping between folders will likely be common.
It works on Wii yes. Swiss is needed for the per-game cards but generic ones will work perfectly. The buttons on the front will switch between them or the web UI.
@@ArchadesGames Cool. I wanted to move our saves to this using a modded Wii and our old saves we still got on the memory cards that we still have. Modded a Wii awhile ago to backup and move saves. Plus I got folders of GCI files on my PC that are copies of our saves. Everybody covering this thing talked more about Swiss and that is cool, but I modded a Wii not a GameCube. This will be perfect for TH-cam then as we can have our old saves plus room for extra files for lets plays. This thing is perfect for what we wanted. Trying to not let our old saves die. Anyway thanks for the info.
@@ArchadesGames I never use Dolphin to play games. I use it to get GCI files out of the RAW folders Nintendont makes on the Wii. Plus my other GCI files are copied from the backup folder for the memory card manger app. Slowly moving files around. The Wii had a few extra saves on it as Nintendont can also format each game to have a memory card so a lot of our extra saves are in RAW. Dolphin is good for opening those RAW folders and getting the GCI saves out. Did a few lets plays without a real memory card just saving to a RAW using Nintendont.
@@ArchadesGames do I have to connect it to the internet do back up to save file Can I remove the sd card connecting it to the Internet seem complicated
This is absolutely ridiculous to have to go through all this work just to change the default size of the memory card channels when of course all we want is the largest size. It should just have the largest block size be default or at least have the ability to set it up with the onscreen menu! What is the point of the lcd screen if were forced to just hook this sketchy device up to our phones ? I regret my purchase.

Once again , another informative excellent tutorial from the master! I'm in the market for one of these cards and you're timing is impeccable sir!
They are pretty fantastic! I hope stock stays consistent.
@@ArchadesGames Frost White is currently out of stock, they have the other one.
Yeah, hopefully it comes back quickly
Thank you for this its really helpful and really timely since I just got my Memcard Pro a couple weeks ago!
Such a fantastic device!
2nd like, first comment. Hooray!
Excellent!

You manually select it if the system isn't running Swiss

It just needs to be powered for it to be able to update. If you missed the 2.0 update and try to go to the next one it won't work.
So can I just take saves from dolphin or from the internet and have them work on my stock gamecube via the mempro card?
Pretty much

Do you have to setup The Wifi It sound complicated Is there any way to make memory cards Without setting up The Wifi
You don't have to if you don't want to enable any of the per game stuff
