kogai Fukuoka-ken's Koden is the origin of Shintou musou-ryu joujutsu. Koryu was simplified with Shimizu,Takaji-shihan in order to spread in Tokyo .It is called "Shintou musou-ryu Jodou . Furthermore, Seitei-gata was popularized by Japan kendou-renmei. This is the hisitory of Shintou musou-ryu jujutsu and Jodo .

Yes, Shimizu had his methods of teaching SMR, just like all other teachers. Some of those changes are present in the Fukuoka-ha, too. In fact, I've been told Matsumura (the teacher in this video) has also altered SMR to fit his method of teaching. It's not really about "deterioration", because there isn't just one correct way to perform the kata. Usually the differences between different lines of SMR are quite minimal, anyway.

At first, it is the Shintoumusou-ryu jojutsu with prosperous Fukuoka near the origin.A sword takes the style of the "Daihassou(mimigamae)" phase. The second is a style which may be called the Shintoumusou-ryu jodou.As for the style of a sword, not the "Daihassou" phase but a sword guard becomes per month. I will hear that the sword turned off from the style of the Daihassou phase is quick, and does not fit beginners. "Seitei-gata"(prevalent type) is the third. There is also an exercise hall into which power is put in winning the victory in an Seitei-gata" convention.
