@4:11 Rory tries to get Klaus to do some "Call & Response" but he doesn't get it. Nice to see 3 giants share the stage with equal parts elegance and bravado. (tha'ts Rory's bass player holding down the low end )
Lindley's bass player Jorge Calderon is clustered with rhythm guitarist Bernie Larsen and another guy I don't recognize on the side of the stage. Drummer is Ian Wallace, also from Lindley's band. ElRayo-X.
I am lucky to say I’ve seen Eric Burdon twice, 1st with the Animals in December 1968, the Animals finally broke up and Eric went to the Bay Area and joined WAR, we saw him with WAR in 1969, amazing performances!! And I love David Lindley, Gallagher is great here too!! I wonder what year this was, unfortunately we lost David Lindley to Covid and Rory too. Eric Burdon will always be a legend in his own time ❤❤❤oops, that didn’t come out right, I don’t know what Gallagher died from or when???
Thanks for this worth the watch for many good reasons if this is early eighties these guy's were keeping the faith the following forty odd years have been very barren for real rock and blues maybe we need hard times to ignite the passion once more. Eric Burdon little man big voice Geordie Giant Rory Gallagher
It's strange a lot of people have never heard of Rory I used to listen to him all the time and still today and they ask me who the heck is that and they have no freaking clue am I going freaking crazy he was absolutely amazing let us to soon ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow! What a mashup of talent! One of my first concert promotions was just a couple of years after this recording, and it was Eric Burdon - at a Strip Club, in Canada, for New years Day! lol No Rory or David, but a killer Eric and a red hot band! Made me fall I love with music promotion! I did it for nearly 40 years, after that! Peace
Yep saw Eric Burdon as part of The Animals in the summer of 1964 play in my school gym hall (really) Maidenheads Gordon School He was wearing one of those Beatles suits as were the other Animals and he was very spotty lol
Great stuff! But instead of eulogies I'd rather read about the date and place where this happened! Any info?? I suspect it was at the Rockpalast (Grugahalle in Essen Germany).Thank you anyway!
Presumably, because Ian Wallace is on drums; bassist Jorge Calderon and rhythm guitarist Bernie Larsen are at the side of the stage with somebody I don't recognize.

Lindley's playing lap steel, not "bottleneck, on a Melbourne yo be precise. Have you never listened to ElRayo-X? You really should!
I was wondering the same thing. Eric had shown talent as a singer in the past, but this sounds like Jim Morrison when he was trashed. But I stayed through it to hear the band and the players trading off.
If any of you folks here seeing this mediocre blues band want to hear, also from the '80s, a much better rhythm section, much better vocals, even better guitar playing (in context), check out the Ralph Shine Band, from Chico, California, opening for Stevie Ray Vaughn at Butte College in '84. They cover classic blues songs better than blues luminaries, and I am so glad they are up on TH-cam now!
@@Katsem ... The vocals are lame, the tightness of the rhythm section and band is lacking, they clearly haven't played together much, and while David Lindley and Rory Gallagher are great in other bands they have led, and with others, this is an 'undistinguished' performance. Anything with Rory Gallagher is amazing
Rory 🎵🎸
Agree!!
Anything with David Lindley, particularly if he is playing something exotic with a slide and finger picks.
Eric is not bad either.

I absolutely love him! Have you heard him on Spill the Wine with War? And he's still touring (2024l)
Three great musicians.
This is the real thing. David Lindley!
Playing a Melobar.
Thank you for sharing this incredible video.
Now there is some history here. Thank you
Rory was a natural guitar master and Lindley was a bad ass too.
They'll never make another like these guys.

Maybe it's correct for the German band Bap members, but Lindley and Burden are heroes of their own. And I say that as a lifelong Gallagher fan.
