  • In the early 50s, Leo Fender put manufactured one of the most historical instruments of the 20th century... The Telecaster. The Roadworn series stays rue to its roots and feels great due to prudent aging and relicing.

I just traded for one of these, exactly same color, pickguard and wear. I am so glad I did! What an amazing instrument. It feels incredible to play. Once I put the neck in my hand I was totally sold and in love. This is seriously one of the best guitars I’ve ever played and that’s no lie. It’s hard to explain but it just feels like you’ve known the guitar for years in your hands. Something magical about it. If you can ever get your hands on one, get it! You will not be disappointed.

Fender Mexican Roadworns are the best feeling guitars you can get without buying a Custom Shop Relic or an actual vintage Fender.
I own two Mexican Roadworns and I have played Custom Shop Relics and vintage Fenders from the 50s. The Custom Shop Relics are extremely close to an actual vintage Fender at a fraction of the price. The Roadworns aren’t quite as good as the Custom Shop Relics, but for the price you won’t get any closer.

From what I've read about the history of Fender, it is a common misconception that Gretsch threatened to sue over the Broadcaster name. Those were very different times. Gretsch sent a letter to Fender pointing out their drum line was called Broadkaster. Fender volunteered to stop using the Broadcaster name. No threat needed.

Actually the hole under the pickguard is for the CNC machine. I've been gigging with one of these Tele's since buying it new 4 years ago. Very nice Telecaster, especially for the price.

…and the hole shows which series it is….on my one it only says roadworn beaten into the wood (2008)! TheY don’t want us to fool people (copy a 52)!

I'm seeing 76711950 at 4:15 for the neck and 76764950 at 4:31 for the body. Close numbers but I don't think they are the same. Nice review and breakdown of this iconic guitar.

I have one with a white schratchplate and it`s much more aged than yours. The body looks really cool and the neck feels well. A good idea and a better price.

actually the road worn series has a poly undercoat and nitro on top. I sent a road worn tele to MJT to be refinished and it cost me xtra to have it stripped because it had a poly undercoat. Mostly high dollar instruments have only nitro paint job, wildwood special editions etc. I have a few road worns and they are my favorite guitars that I own.

Hey Bob, i own i 2020 roadworn tele and they defiantly do not have a Poly undercoat... iv already worn the fret board back to wood in places and parts of the body...NO POLY , maybe they have changed something...

The truss rod adjustment mechanism is period correct. The guitar is supposed to be a reissue of a 50s guitar. They’re trying to be accurate.

The hole under the gaurd is a locating hole for whatever machine they use. Strats are the same .

Yes I found that out. There's another one in the neck pocket, too.

      it's for CNC machines

    • @shaunw9270
      @shaunw9270 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Monomonmamon Yes that's correct . The Ensenada & Corona factories use different CNC machines , hence the difference in number /location of the holes.

@@roccocrocco817 Also, the number of locating holes prevent Mexican bodies from being completed in the American factory. That way Mexican guitars don't get sold as American.

Do you know if your guitar has poly or nitro finish? Just wondering with the MIM version.

The hole is where a piece of wood is attached to hold the guitar upright while it’s being painted.

4 pennies will fit in that hole and I have a clear pickgurd on my Bajaj tele.

Tone on the amp could be much nicer, i have a 2015 roadworn tele and the tex mex pick ups dont sound so thin like this. it delivers far better distortioned sound than on this demo .i wouldn't but one after seeing this demo ,sorry. glad i already got mine, love it!!
