Useful video. If I may I'd like to mention one more method. If you already invested in the Peak Design ecosystem and you use the clip then you can buy the PD POV kit to attach the Pocket 3. That's how I use it. It has the advantage that you can use the clip for your DSLR/MILC camera too. Also allows adjustments both horizontal and vertical.
Thanks for the suggestion! Will consider the PD Capture Clip and POV kit in the future. I use the PD Slide Lite and Cuff with my camera and they're really good.
Great suggestion... I love my Peak Design clip for my camera.. though it seems the POV kit doesn't have a ball head like the Telesin... and it's also much more expensive...
Thanks for trying these accessories! I was looking for a backpack mount so I can shoot handsfree, and for showing the wearable mode. That is very helpful.
I usually use the default continuous autofocus because I sometimes want to temporarily focus and show something close to the lens (e.g. show my phone screen, a map etc.) However, if for example you are riding on your bike and the Pocket 3 sometimes randomly focuses on your handlebars when you make turns or something, single autofocus is safer.
Thanks for the great advice. I’ve only just purchased last week my Osmo pocket 3 and it’s exactly the accessories I had been thinking of. Cheers from an Australian fan.
I do that too but the Z axis bounce drives me nuts. Each one of those plastic adaptors has a drawback. Non folding ears, or not able to use the battery handle. IMO the best mount is the aluminum band. Thin, light and non-interfering. All those clips hold the P3 way too far out. It forms a large moment arm that swings the camera up and down. My strap clip mounts directly to the adaptor with no intermediate arm. Nice and tight up against the strap. Thanks for doing this video and sharing your personal experiences.
@@captureguidethe ulanzi cage and some sort of capture clip is the answer here. Screw the capture clip directly into the 1/4 20 hole on the back of the cage instead of using the GoPro mount as a go between. ✨Nice and flush✨
Hmm probably not😔Technically you can clamp it the visor of your cap for example, but the Pocket 3 is way too heavy. Also, the clamp would be oriented in such a way that it may obstruct the Pocket 3's body.
Try the Ulanzi case. It’s the like the first one you showed, but built better. But it’s expensive. I plan to use my ulanzi case with the peak design capture and GoPro mount. Great vid.
Thank you for this review. I have arthritis in my hands so I’m looking for a mount on a backpack that can hold my camera, but I don’t like when I walk it bounces up and down and it reflects in the footage. Would you say the mount that has the clip the best option?
The strap or clip that attaches to the backpack doesn't make much difference to how much bouncing motion you get. There's not a whole lot you can do about it, but since a few people have mentioned it I might revisit this and see if anything can help with the bobbing.
I was wondering, I noticed you didn’t fasten your chest strap for your back pack? Did you think to fasten that to prevent the phone from facing outwards? Just asking?
I'd recommend going with the official DJI expansion adapter. For the backpack mount it's more of a personal preference, but I like having the ball head joint for the reasons I mentioned in the video.

very helpful video, thank you. You just got a new sub. quick question: do you know if the DJI Osmo Creator Combo include any of the items you shared in this video and in terms of value, what are your thoughts about their DJI Creator Combo vs getting only the Osmo? thank you again for a well-made video!
Thank you for the kind feedback! The Creator Combo doesn't include any of the items I shared in the video, but it's definitely the way to go from a value perspective. You get the Mic 2 (which also serves as a remote shutter), battery handle, mini tripod and carry case, all of which see regular use. You also get the wide-angle lens, though I rarely use it. You save a lot vs. purchasing them separately. However, if you don't need or already own an external mic, I can see an argument for just getting a standalone Pocket 3 and the battery handle, which is quite important in my opinion.
The first video to actually answer the questions I have been thinking about prior to purchasing the Pocket 3. Thanks for this

Congratulations on producing one of the best review videos I've seen. Absolutely stellar.
Thank you so much!
Great review. I also think the clip version is more useful if recoding in the car. Just clip it to the sun visor
This review vid is so useful, just got my DJI3 and can't wait to try out on bike!
Very informative video. Thank you. I noticed you live in Japan. We are moving to Shiga Prefecture next year. Cheers.
I like the ulanzi version of the expansion kit

thanks for sharing. Would like to know your settings when you have the pocket 3 on your backpack so that the focus doesn't mess up your video?

Did you get them and have they broken yet? Read some bad reviews...

Interesting! I was also looking at options where the camera wouldn't jut out so much. I might consider something similar in the future.
what strap clip do you use?

Very helpful video. I am deciding to purchase the clamp type. Just curious if I can use it in hat??

@@captureguide thank you for your input. I appreciate it.

hi is dearn any mount for iphone
Hi there! I watched this video and felt so useful items that I wanted to use when I go to strolling town while riding bicycle😊

Thanks for the suggestion! A setup using the Peak Design Capture Clip looks like the way to go if money isn't an issue.

That's a great point actually! That could definitely help improve the angle and I will try it out sometime.
What memory card was on during this video? In the end it was showing 3 hours video can be recorded in 4K60
I'm using a 256GB Samsung Evo Plus Micro SD Card.

Is your gimbal ok after bike riding?
I think mine got some damages after a long bike ridings.
My gimbal is ok after bike riding, but the gimbal can be damaged from large impacts/vibrations. I hope yours is ok :(
*I've learned that the Osmo version it doesn't fit as securely on my Backpack strap and I don't want that which is Why i don't use it anymore*
Overal which one do you recommend?
