    Their pliers did the job for the 3 months I had them before I bought Knipex. The comfort grip yellow screwdrivers are allright but I don't use them often and I'm going to replace them with tekton when I have more money. Their sockets are great for the money but I even replaced my shop set with tekton and retired the pittsburg to a car set. The wrenches have worked for me but I want to fully retire my set. My wrenches are the Taiwan made ones and I'm slowly replacing them with gearwrench ratcheting and tekton none ratcheting wrenchs.

      Yeah, most of my ratcheting wrenches are GearWrench and all my standard combination wrenches are Tekton. I love both. You'll definitely be happy with those upgrades. I still have some pittsburgh sockets. I've never had a problem with their sockets or ratchets and still like them. I just don't like that they skip sizes. That's why I've upgraded most of my sockets to Tekton.

      @@mcmoto5424 yep that's why I upgraded my shop set of sockets. The no skips were hard to resist that and the slightly tighter tolerances and the chrome job. The 90t ratchets are also a very welcomed addition.

    He's right. If you plan on constantly using tools then Freight isn't the way to go, better off paying more for better ones. If you only need emergency trunk tools or some you don't have for a quick job but will never use again then go the Freight way. Most of my trunk emergency tools are Freight and have saved me a few times, but my good ones stay home for tougher jobs. I recommend getting their pittsburgh pro flex head ratchets, 1/2 breaker bar and impact sockets.

      Those are definitely some of their best tool offerings.

    As far as the tire irons go, Ive had pretty decent success with them on my motorcycles tires. I think the trick is using 3 irons, idk how you do it but using 3 so one of them can keep center leverage theyve held up well. Pittsburg tools are basically the bottom of the barrel, but their quinn pliers ive heard are fairly good, but the price point isnt much different than klein or channel locks

    I have never had a problem with the tire iron I mounted 5, 31 inch light truck tires with them and never had a problem

    • @mcmoto5424
      @mcmoto5424  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good info. I never had a problem mounting truck tires with them either. The bigger/more flexible car tires don't take as much force as the tighter/lower profile motorcycle tires though. Motorcycle tires are what I mostly do though and they don't quite hold up to them due to the extra force and prying pressure needed for them.

    Are the rusted pliers not covered by the lifetime warranty?

    • @mcmoto5424
      @mcmoto5424  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't believe so since that's cosmetic. Warranty is for loss of functionality/broken I believe.

  • @ssranch6662
    @ssranch6662 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes there Pittsburg pliars are bad. The ones I bought started rusting after a year and they stay in the tool box. There Doyle and Quinn's are good quality though. And screwdrivers from there I buy only the Quinn's Doyle and icon. Icon picks are good quality too. Do you own any of there air tools?

    • @mcmoto5424
      @mcmoto5424  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't actually. I don't own really any air tools anymore. All electric for the most part.

      I own 3 of there air impacts the earthquake xt line. Good air impacts. I run all air in my 40 by 40 shop. I mainly use my DeWalt and Hitachi 18 volt impacts for carpenter work like building decks. But I have thought about buying some cordless for shop use.

    Those screwdriver kits are pretty bad, at least with my experience! I have had better luck than you with the tire irons though! But I use them with my tire machine against the duck bill. They do make a pretty heavy duty version they call a bead breaker, you won't bend it! Item # 67403. I also like most of the Pittsburgh "Pro" hand tools, they seem to be a bit better.

    • @mcmoto5424
      @mcmoto5424  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, anything Pittsburgh Pro and above seems to be decent quality. It's the standard Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Automotive stuff that usually gives me problems. And yeah, I've thought about that bar, but it's not as slim as the tire irons.

    Other than the caulk gun (no experience with it), I agree with everything. I would never trust their pry bars, pliers are absolute garbage (Doyle are good), the screwdrivers will strip screws out, I wouldn’t use their wrenches because I hate busting my knuckles. I’d also throw in their roller stool and bolt puller. Both are trash.

    • @mcmoto5424
      @mcmoto5424  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My roller still is still holding up pretty well actually. But I don't have the circular one, heard that one's not so good.

    • @JakeNaughtFromStateFarm
      @JakeNaughtFromStateFarm 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mcmoto5424 That’s the one I had, the circular one. If your floors have any imperfections, it will give out. My stool kept breaking at the top. I warrantied it 3 times in 4 months. I finally put a 5 gallon bucket on the base and seat on top of it. Put it all in with self tappers and it held better than the stool.

      Well I love Harbor Freight. But they do have some items that are absolute garbage and I felt it was only fair to point those out since I've spent a lot of time on this channel praising their other products. But people are always gunna bash everything. Best not to care what anyone else says as long as your happy with your purchases.
