i just wanted to say thank you for the video My wife and spent the night in Venice on a trip from our home in Tampa we went to the Daiquiri Deck, Dockside, and Pop's for breakfast. It was fun and you video help us.
That's so wonderful to hear!!! We are very glad to hear that you had a nice time and that the video helped. We really appreciate you watching and providing us with the feedback. Have a wonderful week!!! - Liz & Josh
Tarpon Point Grill. Tiki hut vibe with Myakka River views. Trout and walleye were well prepared. Noise from Tamiami Trail marred the enjoyment of the lunch, however.
Add Deep Lagoon. Gorgeous view from second story. Delicious oysters, Blue and Black Points. Hogfish stuffed with crab. Triple tail and mahi were cooked perfectly. Excellent service by Brittany this past Sunday lunch.
We're back in Venice now. Have enjoyed Dockside Grill, Nokomo's Sunset Hut, Daiquiri Deck, Captain Eddie's and Farlow's. Did not like the smell of the fry oil at the Crow's Nest. Will try Pop's Sunset Grill next. Going to Tikka this Saturday though. Man does not live by seafood alone! Thanks for your videos.
Pop's was recommended to us by a local. I'm happy to see it featured here. I look forward to checking out these other restaurants as well. Thank you for creating this video.
@@ThatFloridaLife And to you. Thank you. So far we've went to Sharky's, Nokomos, and Pop's Sunset Grill and we'll be checking off the others in this video.
We have been to every one of these several times. You got the best ones. There is also the old salty dog by the airport, but it is what I would call, "Semi water front".
Thanks for watching and for the comment! Yeah, we enjoy the Salty Dog too - mostly because we can bring our pup and sit out on the back patio. It is quite nice out there, but like you said, it's more semi-water front compared to the others. So glad you enjoy the list! :)
If you could include dock side spaces for boaters, that would be great. Some sea side resturants offer a dock side space. when dinning. A time limit is usally placed on boaters, and a ticket or some kind of "ID" for those parking their boat while eating. Once the meal is finished, the boater is required to leave to dock hookup.
Crow's Nest, and Sharkeys good favorites, not sure if the Crab and Fin - and Marker 4 are still open , they did a great task with food, and the Italian Villa was good it was not a waterfront dining area. It may have closed long ago. Venice offers alot for the location and size.
Thanks for watching and for sharing your favorites! I've heard of Crab & Fin and also Marker 4 - but haven't checked them out (or checked if they are open). Will put on the list to try! Agree, there are some really great restaurants in the area even with the smaller size.
Every place looks good, till you mention the dreaded "live music"... Never been to a place with this that wasn't way too loud, conversation-killing, out of tune, annoying noise that you pray will end. If I want live music, I'll go to a concert -- please don't subject me to it while I'm having a meal and trying to have a conversation!
Thanks for watching! I totally understand where you are coming from. The crowd is different here in Venice. It's more casual and light island music at these venues listed here. Plus, most of these places have areas you can sit that is away from the music, and I definitely wouldn't say it's loud at all. For example, at Pop's Sunset Grill, there are many areas so far away from the music that you won't hear it at all. Even Nokomos, you really only hear the music if you are down near it. Or you can go at off times when they are not playing music. For example, most of the times we've been to Sharky's was in the afternoon and they were not playing any music at that time. Most venues only offer music during certain times of the day, and days of the week. Hope this helps!

Pop's was delicious. Also the mahi-mahi with coconut risotto at Fin's was beautifully done.
YUM!!! Thanks for the comment and for sharing with us. We're suckers for a good risotto -- so we might need to try that next time!

Enjoyed Indian lunches at Tandoor UTC, Tikka, and will try Bay Leaf in Osprey next Thursday.
Oh let us know how they are. We LOVE Tikka!!!
Bay Leaf was better than any other.
Great video, thanks! My alma mater high school in Michigan has a reunion each year at Sharky’s. I will go one of these times.
Thanks for watching. That sounds like a fun place to have a reunion, Sharky's is always a good time (with the best views!).

Thank for watching & glad to hear you are enjoying all those places. We LOVE Tikka -- it is amazing Indian food. We crave it!
