Note that even these players are not as explosive as some elite level athletes, they are for sure strong as hell if we are talking about muscle. They might not look super muscular as others but that's not because they don't have those muscles, that's because they have some extra weight keeping them looking lean and ripped. They also use these extra weight to gain extra momentum and just physically bully others on court.

Yes and no. Sengun doesn’t have Jokic’s ethereal touch around the basket nor does he consistently shoot mid range jumpers or threes at least not yet. He does however have a pretty refined post game and playmaking ability that’s probably on par with Sabonis or better. He definitely project to be a multi time all star and All NBA player as is but he still has a lot of potential to get better which is scary.

As a houston fan, the only thing that kept me sane the year we drafted him was actually drafting him. I called it then that he’d be something special. In a few years, we’ll see TH-cam videos along the lines of “who were the 15 players drafted before Sengun?” He won mvp of a pro league at 19. I watched clips and breakdowns of it at the time. From those, I knew he’d be special
Also, his style means he’s easy to pair with another big like Jabari. That adds size to the floor.

He is a better defender compared to the previous seasons, which was one of the glaring issues. Right now his main weakness is his low 3p efficiency. If he gets better at 3p shooting and/or just shows overall improvement for other aspects of the game, we are looking at an MVP contender in a few years.

He doesn't need to, that's why I said "and/or". But it is something he should work on for him to reach MVP level. If he gains that ability it will force the opponents to stick to him both inside and outside. If they give him the space, he can just shoot. If they try to defend, it will create even more gaps for him to assist.

I was on the Jalen Green leader wagon but stats are stats and am now embracing the Alpe leader wagon. Let's go Alpe!

having a good coach and hakeem olajuwon training his post game is crazy. i also like how he has a bit more confidence on his long 2s and 3s. They aren't super consistent but it'll def start to kick in with experience

Nice work, never heard of him but he’s looking pretty good with the stats and highlights. Will have to keep an eye on his progress.

he obviously looks up too Jokić but unlike him Sengun has some good atleticism he can throw dunks which can help because only Jokic can have that magic touch around the rim

Getting reliable vets like Jeff Green, Aaron Holiday, Reggie Bullock, as well as Dillon Brooks really helped the team defensively. Having Fred as their main pg took away the pressure from Jalen Green too who's average 20 a game, Jabari is getting more open shots than ever, and Tari has become a very good two way player. Rockets are gonna be good in the coming years if the young core develops solid chemistry and team work with their vets.
