Media like the ESPN's of the world won't pay attention to him because they are not fans of Denver. It is what it is, but if he was a Laker, they'd be hyping him up as if is the next White Kobe.
Honestly, I've been very impressed. Yes, small sample size, but I always knew if he wanted to take over for KCP he'd have to get more consistent with his 3ball. And he clearly has worked his backside off to become so, especially from R to now. He's fun to watch and gives the same "it's about the game and team, not me" vibe that Jokic does. And he does have elite athleticism and can guard 2/3 pretty much any night. And yes, Irving was going to drop 30-45 that night no matter who was on him. He was making contested jumpers right and left. Of course the elephant in the room is his elevation reduced the bench that much more. Strawther can give the offense, but he's overmatched defensively. If they can get two guys to be the equivalent of Braun, one strong D and one O, then maybe the Nugs contend again. Peyton getting minutes while Gordon heals should help him grow. But one of those bench guys has to show. If only their #1 pick hadn't blown his Achilles. Lots of bad press for GM, but with three max contracts they couldn't keep Brown or KCP, and they drafted Braun, Watson & Strawther plus this year's #1. They couldn't go to the second tier on salary cap, so what could they do. Westbrook is a roll of the dice, so let's see what happens. My guess is Porter could be traded if Payton or Tyson can prove they can take his role, and flesh out the bench and free cash.
It was just crazy all summer the media was saying KCP was a big lose and CB is gonna be worse. When they could have just looked up their stats in Minny series and see Braun had better stats on both ends of the floor.
I’m very impressed with Braun if he can maintain a 37% three point shooting and and continue to hustle out on the floor and make his free throws and improve his play making, I see a long career ahead in hopefully in Denver
You should see how triggered some people get when I point out how Braun has been the most consistent non-Jokic player on the Nuggets this season. That he's been a better player than Jamal Murray this season. They do NOT like hearing that.
@@modbyarturo I never said it was a competition. What I said was that Braun has been better than Murray this season, and btw Braun is making 3 mil this year while Murray is making 36 mil this year, 46 mil next year, and over 50 mil the year after that. Braun is the better player at 8% the cost.
Nuggets didn't trade CP, they just didn't think he was worth 23 million and he is not. New Braun D would be just has good and the driving to the hoop. It's that 3 ball we didn't know if he get it going or not.
Been a big fan since he was a rookie. He's got something every other rookie didn't, and that's Jokic. He's clearly taking that opportunity for its true value and it's an amazing thing to see. Hope this team goes all the way again.
I remember watching him during their championship year when he got minutes. I remember thinking "yo this dude just attacks the rim against anyone" and sure enough he just fuckin runs into the lane no fear. He's fun to watch and it's hilarious because he looks like he's 12. if he keeps up this form though, Denver isn't that strapped for shooters anymore and are scary as fuck again
Everyone was overexaggerating the loss of KCP, he averaged only 10pts. He played really good defense, but he also constantly got bodied all last year by physical guards and was terrible in the playoffs, averaging 8pts while not being able to stop anybody. This year in Orlando, now that he doesn't have Jokic or the other great teammates, he's averaging under 7pts on 22% from 3. Braun is averaging around 18pt on 58/50/82 and is only costing a bit over 3 million.
Love some CB appriciation, specially because he is massively overperforming, to be more precise playing far above expectations. But man I need one more Jokić video out of you hahaha. The passion and admaration in your "Jokić videos" are amazing. You are the best creator on YT in explaining why NBA media is delusional and how much better Jokić is than the next best player 😎

As a CB fan starting from kansas - this is not a surprise like you’re making it out to be. He’s an elite defender and has great finishing ability around the rim. The fact he’s averaging so many points is just Malone giving him what he deserves!

i have always liked this kids game wont be surprised if he just keeps getting better he has some great players to learn from westbrook murray and Jokic not a bad mentor group
Nice video! One clarification from the introductory statement... they didn't "trade away" KCP, he declined a player option and became a free agent. I'm usually one of the first to call Kroenke cheap (see: Colorado Rapids)... but this was more about the strict salary cap rules that practically prevent a team from signing ANY players once they exceed the 2nd apron.
Remember what he did for Kansas in the NCAA finals. He was a dawg back then and he's continued to grow. I wasn't sure how he'd transition into the NBA, but I'm happy with his development.

Everyone who plays next to Joker becomes the best version of themselves. Great sentence, glad I heard someone say it. For sure. Dudes a beast. Ok back to work, stop distracting me ❤
Finally, someone is making a CB video. I am telling people that he is better then KCP and BB, they thought I was joking, but nooo, the boy is a beast!!!
I don't know if the guy is a monster, but the kid is really good. You could see it on the championship year. He likely wont ever be a superstar, but he is the kind of player that will contribute wherever he goes. Great player
I've lived in Denver Metro for 46 years. Never been a Nuggets fan mostly because they have nearly always been so bad. Plus the NBA has always been a no rules, biased-referees [who protect the stars], one-on-one, playground ball league. Seeing the Nuggets and their devotion to team basketball is a delight. Doubt if I'll go to many games. Old habits are hard to break. But the very thought of a team playing actual basketball and not jungle ball warms my heart.

In the 2024-25 season, Murray is averaging 17.9 points per game, but is shooting just 39.8 percent from the floor and 31.9 percent from deep.
Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray signed a four-year contract extension worth up to $208 million.-52 million per season......2024-25, Jokic will earn a base salary of $51,415,938,
Nuggets coach Michael Malone says Jokic has to play even better - look at his salary - he didn't mention Jamal Murray
Media like the ESPN's of the world won't pay attention to him because they are not fans of Denver. It is what it is, but if he was a Laker, they'd be hyping him up as if is the next White Kobe.
Us Denver fans knew he could step into the starting role. We were only worried about the person fillings CB’s shoes off the bench.
Lets Go CB lets get in the dunk co test??? GREATEST DUNKS IVE SEEN IS FROM CB
Kcp is ok but he is undersized, older and make some stupid faults. Edward cooked him
I think most of the talk was that Braun was good enough to start, but then who would replace him coming off the bench?
I’m very impressed with Braun if he can maintain a 37% three point shooting and and continue to hustle out on the floor and make his free throws and improve his play making, I see a long career ahead in hopefully in Denver
Awesome video again brother! You deliver every time.
Appreciate It my man!
You should see how triggered some people get when I point out how Braun has been the most consistent non-Jokic player on the Nuggets this season. That he's been a better player than Jamal Murray this season. They do NOT like hearing that.
It's not a competition; they are both on the same team.
@@modbyarturo I never said it was a competition. What I said was that Braun has been better than Murray this season, and btw Braun is making 3 mil this year while Murray is making 36 mil this year, 46 mil next year, and over 50 mil the year after that. Braun is the better player at 8% the cost.
2:02 Yes, that really happened
Nuggets didn't trade CP, they just didn't think he was worth 23 million and he is not. New Braun D would be just has good and the driving to the hoop. It's that 3 ball we didn't know if he get it going or not.
I noticed that since their winning season. He was so reliable when he called upon. But I didn’t expect him to be this good like damn good.
Great video! I was positively surprised that you picked him. Christian Braun is pretty good this year and an exciting young player to watch.
I’m definitely trying to do more vids on underrated players this year so keep an eye out for that :)
Dude wonderful detailing. I would like to take a minute to appreciate your effort and hard work put behind to bring this video and many such videos as this was my first video that I watched from your channel. keep goring brother. nice work.
Reliable hard worker with 100cm vertical. Nuff said
LOL And his minutes increased from 20 mpg lat year to 35 mpg this year. But yeah he's markedly better.
I like your voice and your tempo and keeping it relevant without fluff. So I subscribed. Now please keep the same energy and same quality!
As a CB fan starting from kansas - this is not a surprise like you’re making it out to be. He’s an elite defender and has great finishing ability around the rim. The fact he’s averaging so many points is just Malone giving him what he deserves!
been a fan since kansas. Homie is a dawg
I mean he was a major contributor to an 8 man rotation that won a championship his rookie year. I feel like he was pretty well known.
Everybody knew what kind of player he was coming out of college…
What a great breakdown and narration . Great channel. ✌️
He posted a picture of him as a little kid and he already got muscles he shouldn't have. He's just built different
keep it up 6man as always
Thank you Jeffrey as always
np
I live in CO and the dude walked into the Culvers I work at one time. Greatest day of my life
i have always liked this kids game wont be surprised if he just keeps getting better he has some great players to learn from westbrook murray and Jokic not a bad mentor group
Beautiful! He is Mr. Firocious; (savagely fierce) with funny clapping hands. "Let's Go!"
5:52 to be fair Kyrie was doing magic that game. Braun and Watson were playing great defense, but Kyrie just didn’t fucking miss for some reason…
CB has championship fiber in his body and has been a winner at every stage of his career
Great analyses like always. Keep up the good work 6thMan!
Love the way he plays. Perfect fit alongside the joker
the guy came off the bench and has been killing it ever since.
great video! was really impressed with him during their finals run and im glad to see hes improved so much so quickly
also wanted to ask you what music you used this video? sounded dope
His fast break finishing reminds me of Devin Booker. You know he's going to score and there isn't much you can do about it.
As a Nuggs fan we needed Braun to take a big leap to replace KCP and he hasn't disappointed whatsoever, glad to see him balling.
Thank you for covering him!
Watching denver vs my wolves last years playoffs, Braun had some big defensive moments and even a couple key buckets. Definitely noticed him then
The only thing that worried me was wether his 3 pointer would improve and it has really happy for him and hopefully he keeps getting better lesgoooo Nuggets
Last year was the first time since he started playing high school ball that Braun didn't win a chip. Dude is a dawg.
I'm lowkey gonna get myself a Braun fan, this man is insane and doing it humbly and quietly
Kid looks like he got that manu ginobli athleticism. Deceptive quickness, quick drive change and long arms that surprise you with how easily he dunks.
Braun can be so many things his hustle is unmatched he can do so may things.
I liked him last year. This year he's becoming one of my favorite players.
Everyone who plays next to Joker becomes the best version of themselves. Great sentence, glad I heard someone say it. Jason Kidd used to be surrounded by all stars that weren’t all stars on other teams with other point guards. Same here.
And ya, some of us said last year that Braun would be a 20ppg player one day. For sure. Dudes a beast. Ok back to work, stop distracting me ❤
Finally, someone is making a CB video. I am telling people that he is better then KCP and BB, they thought I was joking, but nooo, the boy is a beast!!!
my girlfriend grew up with CB! So happy to see him get the time he deserves
If you watch college basketball or atleast march madness every year. You know this dude has been a beast.
Wins a nations championship, comes into the nba and was a key player coming off the bench to help in winning a world championship. Looking forward to more of him in the future.
Ever since our first chip, I knew he was going to be special. He just needs more player development and under Jokic and Murray, we’re gonna see a BEAST out of him!
Go CB!
It’s not that we were worried Braun wasn’t as good as KCP, it was that the bench would become even weaker. Braun was the best player coming off the bench and now that bench doesn’t have him. Westbrook has that spot now but the biggest weakness of the nuggets has always been a serviceable replacement for Jokic.
In Denver we knew what we had since his rookie season 🏆
This kid is another promise. He knows the game.
Dude has already won a basketball grandslam of championships. HS-College-NBA.
Big fan of Nuggets, and I approve those CB compliments. But don’t forget PW, love to see them both on court!
Thank god for Christian. I’ve been hammering it since the 1st game of the season. Only Jokic has been more consistent than him. Hard-working, humble guy. If Murray is more consistent, our starting 5 is DEADLY with AG, MPJ & that version of Braun
To fill the role/position of KCP is a "big ask" of CB. I think he's doing a great job!
Was waiting for this one!
I was very worried about Braun and Peyton's shooting prior to the season. Both hugely improved.
4:53 I would have to disagree
