- Shelly-Ann Fraser on Sha'Carri Richardson : Now if you thought it was only in the world of showbiz where people throw shades at each other, then think again! Because the world of track and field is not an exception… We've seen pro athletes throw shots at each other, and this season, it’s Shelly-Anne Fraser-Pryce vs. Sha'Carri Richardson. These two sprint stars are held up in a battle of supremacy and none of them is ready to respect the other. We’ve seen Shelly-Anne Fraser-Pryce blatantly disrespect Sha’Carri Richardson, and Richardson is not bowing down either. And this verbal altercation is still going strong on social media. Until these two battle out in the same field over 100 meters, I think the cold blood between them is going to intensify going forward.

My previous stance was the same with yours, although there does appear to be some kind of rivalry between them now. Shelly is a very classy, sweet, congratulatory athlete, and she definitely dodged that question and seemed to intentionally not give ShaCarri credit. That, combined with the fact ShaCarri was kicked out of the 100M twice in a row due to Shelly being scheduled to run, so, it really makes me wonder why, as I especially think ShaCarri now has a problem with her as a result of this.
That said, all these clickbait nonsense posts are ridiculous. I also agree with you totally the only person who can go against ShaCarri is a fit Elaine! As an american former sprinter/hurdler/jumper/coach who has seen Elaine as my favorite female since 2015, I have to be 100% honest in that I have not within the past 25 years seen such a talent as Elaine and ShaCarri (aside from Jeter, and I’m annoyed with the fact Jeter robbed herself by running so tense and not running faster times). They both have something very special about them, and yes, Elaine has already solidified her position quite clearly. Great comment.

That's why Elaine Thompson ran the 2nd fastest time ever and all the other ladies in the field finished ahead of Richardson who finished last in that race. Frazier-Pryce is a multiple gold medallist. Shelly-Ann has never said she hates Richardson. Just because she isn't throwing praise to Richardson coming out the gate this season with fast times, does not compute to "hate". I believe Shelly is just not phased by what Richardson's done because she still has the better time of 10.6. So why would she be bothered by anything that Richardson has done this season. She isn't! Shelly has been doing this for over a decade and has sealed her mark in history as one of the greatest of all time and is still going at age 36. There is no hate that i can see or have heard from her. That's just drama for the main street media to have something to hype up about the two of them. It's good for track and field events with the two but that's about it. Both of these women are amazing athletes. I might also add that Sha-Carri is changing her style of interviews as well. Jamaicans, except Asafa Powell.have never learnt to respect other athletes especially those from US. We expect Shelly Ann to protect and encourage Shaccari. Nobody owns sports. Sports are for entertainment....it's not a do or die duel where you hate and disrespect others. That's why USA athletes are admired all over the world: Flo Jo. Gwen Terence. Alyson Felix, Jeter. Tori Bowie. English Gardener. Evelyn. Carl Lewis. Johnson....these guys broke records. Are the world's best are physically very beautiful, yet humble, respectful of others and just likeable.
