Don‘t know if you beat her yet, but if not: -Keyblade forms protect you from status effects and give your taken LP back if you just transformed a keyblade -That side effect is triggered by her blue light pillars which are blockable if timed correctly. It isn‘t even that bad, if you don‘t get hit a billion times. You have to play on Critical for a minute, but that‘s fine. -Elixirs fix your health as well, since they heal status effects as well
@@LunaTomArwen The blue pillars decrease your health when they hit you. And as far as I know, on Normal the decrease just goes to the maximum of the Critical health bar. You can heal this effect with an Elixir by the way.

Makes since.... since she was originally made to be a Roxas "backup" for the original Organization (she is even mechanically identical to him in every way in 258/2 Days Mission mode, with the exception of the duel wielding option). And despite being an (imperfect) replica of Sora, there are no boss fights for Sora, making basing her boss fight off of Roxas's the next best thing.

Explosion Sword sort of, AI is the same but damage you do is way less so it’s artificially harder in the sense that the fight lasts longer Edit: of course and the always dying in one hit

Its really cool how she fights a bit like saix with those berserker blasts, it makes me think they trained together a little bit. Also what an evolution, I hope she gets a more unique keyblade down the line. Almost hope she gets to dual-weild like roxas, and Axel. That would making them the "dual-weilding" sea salt trio, haha 😆😆
I think she knew saix is the reason she was back. I love his growth and the way he atoned. I also like how roxas basically hinted to xemnas saix is the reason he was back as well.
Honestly I kinda like how the finisher in the end didn’t defeat Xion right then and there cuz your follow up was so quick. I can just imagine Xion’s data desperate to hold out against your final attack, just barely able to endure the hit. Then, right as she’s about to rally, your keyblade swoops down from the light and deals the finishing blow, before Xion can even react. Her data is put to rest as even strength beyond strength fails to stand up to Sora’s light. Anyways really cool fight lol
Can you imagine if they made the bosses similar to KH2 where only a "square" Move or finisher could end the fight? That Flash Step would leave her with 1 HP
You commonly missed a damage phase when xion circles you to the left 5 times with the blue pillars, it will always be her first pillar attack you can get a damage phase off after she finishes this attack though to do so you need to hit her with a firaga so what you do is finish off your second combo on her with a firaga spam and have them chase her as she swirls to the left, they will hit her when she holds still and stagger her so just focus lock into her and start attacking. I usually got her down to half doing this every time which skips her first set of pillar attacks and instantly puts her in her armor mode.

i like xion but i personally think it would be good if at some point she got a brand new keyblade that she would use instead of the kingdom key to distinguish herself as a keyblade wielder not to mention it looks underpowered having the most basic keyblade i understand that she uses the kingdom key because of her association with sora but i would like it if at some point she was able to get a new keyblade some time in the future
I was barely able to experiment in this fight, after I´ve figured her few openings out, making it an unnecessarily constricted fight, that took me forever. Got some nice style and pumping music tho, so not an overall unenjoyable fight
The only thing that fucks you up bad is that the blue light attacks throw you into the air if you get hit and makes you vulnerable AF, if it wasn't for that the fight would be a lot easier.
Even despite Saïx’s theme’s metal breakdown, Repliku’s bombastic intro, or the intensity of the low brass in Xemnas’ theme, I think of all of the data fights, Xion’s got the most powerful sounding theme
Xigbar's 13th Dilemma remix was the 2nd best one to Vector to the Heavens. I really liked that version of 13th dilemma it was very fitting for Xigbar. My third favorite going to data Young Xehanort. Especially when it matched up with his time traveling attack

All the data fights are more or less the developers showing how powerful the members of the true Organization XIII are when they're at their peak performance, so real or not, this is how Xion fights at her absolute best.
Even though I wish we got her true form from 358/2 in this fight, I think her main mechanic is actually really interesting. She was made to absorb the memories of Roxas and Sora, her existence was weakening Roxas over time, so it makes sense that she can wear down your max health.

For those of you saying Xion’s fighting style is reminiscent of Roxas’, that’s because it *IS* Roxas’ fighting style. To a T. Canonically, Xion adopts Roxas’ combat prowess with one Keyblade. Given that she was meant to absorb Roxas’ abilities, powers and eventually become a legitimate Replica of Sora, it stands to reason she has the powers of BOTH Keyblade Wielders. Do not imagine Roxas based on this Xion. This IS Roxas’ style. Xion made Roxas’ style her own. Roxas developed his own fighting style, defaulting to two Keyblades as seen in the fights he’s featured in. What you *should* imagine is XION with two Keyblades. THAT would be absolutely sick. I don't know if it was intentional but it's a nice touch that the Oblivion keyblade is being used here. According to the 358 days manga, the Oblivion keyblade is technically Xion's keyblade.
I did only a no damage battle in my KH career, and it's Lingering will. Then I have to admit I am not the right guy to attempt these battles, you have to remember every single attack and at the right moment, if not you have to do it again. And after a while my patience will considerably suffer
I like to think Xion was holding back in the main story fight because she would have straight up killed everyone, Saix included, if she unleashed all of this.
probably more like she was holding back because she didnt _want_ to be against the people she wanted to stay friends with. But she was stuck in "i'm just a puppet" mindset so she fought. and this, is her, without that restraint.
Her fighting style reminds me a lot of Roxas boss fight in kh2. But the most that show the reference her ultimate attack is whre desperation move the one day it looks like it's clear skies and pillars of light and stuff

The best thing to do is use a keyblad to get into a formchange and never use it to fight and use a different keyblade if ur hp got reduced go back to the form change and cure then go back to ur other keyblade to fight i used kingdom key for that cuz i wanted to block and counter if i wasn't too fast in changing between the blades

@@Xenmaru00 We've seen on multiple occasions that Oathkeeper belongs to Roxas, Oblivion is the Keyblade best associated with her. Riku catching it and seeing her as well as Roxas getting access to Oathkeeper by itself in not only the manga but also via the Zero Gear in Days.

Out of everyone, she's the most fun and enjoyable boss fight in the game.
I remember the first run against her, we fight for 3 min before one of us take damage. Her fighting style look more to a dance for me

Am I the only one that wishes that this is the real Xion we're fighting? Imagine having an ally that powerful and this is what she gives you in a 'sparring' match...
All the data fights are more or less the developers showing how powerful the members of the true Organization XIII are when they're at their peak performance, so real or not, this is how Xion fights at her absolute best.

Even though I wish we got her true form from 358/2 in this fight, I think her main mechanic is actually really interesting.
She was made to absorb the memories of Roxas and Sora, her existence was weakening Roxas over time, so it makes sense that she can wear down your max health.
Those alternate forms were due to those funking machines set up in each of the worlds the boss fight phases take us to.
She's more of a berserker than Saix.

She’s about to get you to say “Who’s Kairi” with how boring Xion’s voice actor played Kairi in this game especially compared to how she played Xion IN THE SAME GAME.
Everybody is amazed at how fast and amazing Xion's moveset is but from Xion's perspective Sora is destroying her with fast and amazing movesets.

At around 1:10, the blocking syncs perfectly with the music it’s perfect
For those of you saying Xion’s fighting style is reminiscent of Roxas’, that’s because it *IS* Roxas’ fighting style. To a T. Canonically, Xion adopts Roxas’ combat prowess with one Keyblade.
Given that she was meant to absorb Roxas’ abilities, powers and eventually become a legitimate Replica of Sora, it stands to reason she has the powers of BOTH Keyblade Wielders.
Do not imagine Roxas based on this Xion. This IS Roxas’ style. Xion made Roxas’ style her own. Roxas developed his own fighting style, defaulting to two Keyblades as seen in the fights he’s featured in.
What you *should* imagine is XION with two Keyblades. THAT would be absolutely sick. Imagine if she developed her OWN style.
Might I add that Roxas is quite literally the ONLY Keyblade Wielder who can proficientlly wield two Keyblades for as long as he wants canonically??

I don't know if it was intentional but it's a nice touch that the Oblivion keyblade is being used here. According to the 358 days manga, the Oblivion keyblade is technically Xion's keyblade.
I mean was Riku getting flashbacks of Xion upon grabbing Oblivion not enough. On top of Zero Gear from Days giving Roxas Oathkeeper.

I did only a no damage battle in my KH career, and it's Lingering will.
Then I have to admit I am not the right guy to attempt these battles, you have to remember every single attack and at the right moment, if not you have to do it again. And after a while my patience will considerably suffer
I like to think Xion was holding back in the main story fight because she would have straight up killed everyone, Saix included, if she unleashed all of this.
probably more like she was holding back because she didnt _want_ to be against the people she wanted to stay friends with. But she was stuck in "i'm just a puppet" mindset so she fought. and this, is her, without that restraint.
Her fighting style reminds me a lot of Roxas boss fight in kh2. But the most

Is there a way to reverse the status effect that causes your max HP to be temporary reduced without a form change? Does the Ensuma item work?
I think it does, actually I tend to cure mine with elixirs.
Panaceas work, as do elixirs.
Normal They asked about other methods besides form change.
The best thing to do is use a keyblad to get into a formchange and never use it to fight and use a different keyblade if ur hp got reduced go back to the form change and cure then go back to ur other keyblade to fight i used kingdom key for that cuz i wanted to block and counter if i wasn't too fast in changing between the blades
I think it says you can use potions. But I never made it to Xion so idk
