Hi. Your and your wife are really an inspiration for all that dreams to change their life. Maybe one day i will arrive with a bottle of good Red wine. 😊 Good job. Giorgio
Thankyou for the recap I always follow you both, love your property. I will follow until you stop. Happy New Year and love too you both. Beautiful scenery as well.xx😊
I think you are right, and the people who planted the olive trees must have thought the same, since there is a lot of different species in our olive groove. Our problem in the area is a fly which leaves it's eggs in the leaves, which then results in close to no yield at all.
Everything is fine, everything is good. I also wanted to emigrate to Tuscany with my ex-girlfriend. The dream has been shattered. It's fun to watch videos like this and I'm always happy when old houses like this are given new life. But to make dreams like this come true you need time and money. There's nothing more to say. Good luck to you both in heaven on earth. I like that this young man has a connection to nature. I like that.
I'm sorry to hear that your dream has been shattered, I hope you get to chase a dream one day. But I'm glad that you enjoyed the video. Dreams like these consume a lot of money and time indeed. I agree not much else to say. TH-cam has also been harder than I thought it would be, so I might have to get my self a job after the roof is done. I'm not complaining, it is what it is. Thanks for the good luck wish and I sure do love being in the middle of nature.
You have an excellent olive oil yeld of 14,85 % whereas normally in the north is 10 to 12%,that means your olive cultivars are LOCAL and very hardy and adapted to humidity AND that you sun exposition is EXCELLENT--- YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON PLANTING MANY MORE OLIVE TREES of the same cultivar AND growing seedlings to SELL AS PREMIUM... (PS I used to 😅live on the other side of the valley as it's obvious by my nickname, still have a house there...)
I have an admission to make regarding the 15 kg, we only got 14 kg from the 101 kg of olives, I had the weight of our olive oil container wrong. I really should do all those things with olives anyways. We have around 300 trees more further down the mountain towards the river, I "just" need to remake the road, so I can get to them with the tractor and tools. Currently I can only access it by walking. Nice that you kept the house, why don't you move back 😉
How wonderful to work towards a wedding day and then get married on your own land - living the dream 😍Congratulations 💏 Three bits of advice if you're open to it? Firstly ......working (toiling dayly) on your land will eventually hurt your back. You seems to have a long back so please considerd investing in a back brace, like those belts that weight lifters use, as it will save damaging or wearing down your long spine that needs to last your life time 😉 Secondly, if you haven't already done this, please consider finding all the information you need to contact your nearest poison control centre should you or a guest be bitten by a viper. Thirdly...... You really need to consider using *goggles* when using grinding, sanding, strimming or sawing electric tools. An accident to your eyes would be horrendous and severely delay any progress on your project or your life if its serious. Really love your 'growing tool handles' project 😍
It sure was wonderful and a little stressful, we are certainly living our dream, thanks. You make some excellent points, I really try to lift correctly in my squats and think about it when I do heavy lifts. I'll look into a lifting belt, it is a good idea. We live 8 mins from a hospital, so that is thankfully covered should we be so unlucky to be bitten. The previous owner actually got bitten ones, and the hospital was thankfully close by. I think I'm actually quite good at using safety equipment, but sanding I don't always wear it, not as dangerous(sorry) as the grinder, chainsaw or strimmer. Thanks for saying that about growing tool handles, one of the projects that excites me the most even though it involves a whole lot of waiting. I'm going to do so many more of them, there is so many cool old tool heads in the basements. 😉
I just started fallowing you. Only watched this video so far. Amazing place, amazing job. I only couldn’t figured out how big is your property, how many buildings. How many acres are there around the house. I would like to know that. Never give up your dreams. One day I’m gonna have my own farm.
Thank you for the follow I appreciate it so much. We have 20 hectares of land well spread around the area, we actually don't know where most of it is. (When the not so little tiny house is done, I'll figure out where all of it is) The buildings are hard to explain in text, but in episode 10 I outline which buildings we own on drone footage, here is the link; th-cam.com/video/DvMjK9RJMNQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=nzfbVooUwOMHfqB1 Furthermore you make an excellent point to never give up on your dreams, Stine and I would never be where we are if we didn't try our dreams out! I'm sure you will get your farm one day, just take small steps and decisions every day and then one day you'll find yourself living your dream!
I noticed your land seems to be terraced, I know they grew grapes or olive trees on terraces was your property ever used for such? And what bread are you making?
I do a lot in this video, so if you mean in general, I suggest going back watching some of my weekly videos, there I do a bit more explaining or just watch the new episodes that comes out every Sunday. 😉
In this video I have preserved various fruits, so hard to tell which one you mean, but we have done plums, figs, elderflower juice, kaki fruit, tomatoes and olive oil. And probably something else I have forgotten. Hope this sort of answers your question. 😊
I think so, but I haven't worked on it since the last clip from this video. I can properly answer this question when I cut it on the back of the trunk in the upcoming spring. I'm a little nervous I must admit. 😅
Ciao Christen ... posso dirti una mia opinione!!? Perché mettere i sottotitoli in Inglese se tu parli già Inglese??? Visto che sei in Italia io li metterei in Italiano!!!👋👋👋
I love the content you share. Are you planning to put your date stamp on the wall post for 2024 when you took ownership? Children’s eggs will be a great complement to the garden and your food source. Looking forward the your progress in 2025.
Thanks as always Nellie, for your endless support, it means a lot! We have actually talked about it after reading your comment, I think we will, I think 2024 would look cool under 1924, great idea. Looking forward to sharing the progress my friend. 😉
So many bonsai trees not sure if I like seeing living creatures restricted in their movements. I thought you be more focused on renovation and creating a better living place for the two of you instead of going around mutilating trees. Or are you making them to sell and generate an income?
I have never in 70 yrs met a man like this, resourceful, creative, humble, hardworking and talented 😊
This has to be the sweetest comment ever, you are far to nice, I'm not sure you'd think the same if we met 😊😉
I just found your channel! Good choose.
Good luck with all the work coming up!
Greetings from Torino
Thank you so much for saying that!
Hi. Your and your wife are really an inspiration for all that dreams to change their life. Maybe one day i will arrive with a bottle of good Red wine. 😊 Good job. Giorgio

Happy New Year and love too you both.
Beautiful scenery as well.xx😊
Thank you as always Norma 😉
Great recap - thanks for sharing- happy new year
I appreciate you saying that, thank you for watching.
I think you can cure them check if there are any cross polenation between different types of olive trees that could perhaps help with yields
I think you are right, and the people who planted the olive trees must have thought the same, since there is a lot of different species in our olive groove. Our problem in the area is a fly which leaves it's eggs in the leaves, which then results in close to no yield at all.
Wow, what a resourceful young couple 😊
Thank you for saying that Linda, we try our best and learn as we go 😊
WOW! Bellissimo! Bravo! I watched the whole thing and your editing is perfect. Congratulations you two for a great partnership and life. Thank you!

I noticed your land seems to be terraced, I know they grew grapes or olive trees on terraces was your property ever used for such?
And what bread are you making?
Yes it was indeed used for growing olives and grapes, we actually do an olive harvest in this video from our olive trees, believe it or not 😅
Please explain what you are doing its very interesting but foreign to someone who lives in Colorado 😊
I do a lot in this video, so if you mean in general, I suggest going back watching some of my weekly videos, there I do a bit more explaining or just watch the new episodes that comes out every Sunday. 😉
Den glæder vi os til at se ☺️
Tak fordi I gider venner, det betyder meget, vi glæder os allerede til jeres næste besøg! 😊
why destroying those beautiful olive trees, i don't get it !
Biz Meşe ağaçlarını kesinlikle kesmiyoruz tabi kaçak kesim yapanlar var yaptırımları ağır oluyor Türkiye de
When is the next wonderful video due?
Every Sunday I post a new one, with few exceptions through the year
What was the fruit you were preserving?
In this video I have preserved various fruits, so hard to tell which one you mean, but we have done plums, figs, elderflower juice, kaki fruit, tomatoes and olive oil. And probably something else I have forgotten. Hope this sort of answers your question. 😊
The branch you passed through the trunk of the tree, did it worked? 😏
I think so, but I haven't worked on it since the last clip from this video. I can properly answer this question when I cut it on the back of the trunk in the upcoming spring. I'm a little nervous I must admit. 😅
🤞
Why did you cut all the olivetrees?
Witziger Straem werde ihn mal abonieren um zu sehen was daraus wird.
Vielen danke 😊
@@dylandiabolik5750 Thank you for the clarification, you are spot on.
How dou you make your money?
Sad truth is that I don't, I'm stretching my savings thin, hoping that I'll "make" it here on TH-cam.😅
where is the house?
In Italy, the most northern part of Tuscany in the region of Massa-Carrara.
I love the content you share.
Are you planning to put your date stamp on the wall post for 2024 when you took ownership?
Children’s eggs will be a great complement to the garden and your food source.
