I came to this video looking to see how you got the stupid little c-clamp off the actuator arm. Come to find out you have an entirely different clip! Im trying to replace mine currently but on a Sunday, I'll have to pin this for another day!
Looks like both held 24psi very well I believe the cosmetics aka looks is what your paying for. I am BNR Tuned as well, but if i can save a $100 than im all for it. I wouldn't care if i lost 1psi to save a $100.
Having compared the BNR VS the Mambatek, the BNR has some impressive and from an engineering stand point extremely high quality components. So it's not just Cosmetics, there's the factors of the brass internals, along with 2 peice piston design. That speaks quality. Vs mambatek's single peice aluminum and tin plate. Which like I say in the video, it's a matter of quality you want and how much you wanna spend. Having used the mambatek for over several years, I can say that it works and better than stock. And I plan on installing my mambatek on the dark red cruze on the channel. But for applications you want something more than just better than stock and go the extra mile for quality, accuracy and ease of install. I personally definitely prefer the BNR overall.
Im confused lol. i ordered a BNR wastegate because my car is throwing p0299. when i ordered, i chose stock tune springs. is that a newer option? curious of why you’re saying you need a tune for a bnr wastegate
Thanks for the video. I was just recently watching your other install video on wastegate actuators because I need to change mine out and just wanna do it myself, turns out it's very simple so thanks for putting these videos out. Quick question, if anyone can help, my 2016.5 is completely stock, will these BNR/Mambatek/any other aftermarket wastegate actuator be pointless on a stock engine? Should I just get an OEM part?
You can run the mambatek wastegate on a stock cruze. Which, most common reason for p0299 is failing stock wastegate actuator. But I highly recommend making sure you have an extremely accurate and reliable way to read boost. I actually plan on installing the mambatek I removed from the Black Cruze to put on the Dark red Cruze I put the roof racks on.
@@WheresThe10mm Thank you for the response! Good to know I can run the mambatek wastegate on stock. I don't have a very accurate or reliable method of reading boost right now though so I'll need to look into that. All I have at the moment is a cheap OBD2 scanner and I wouldn't trust it to give me accurate information.
You're correct on that. Those Obd2 apps never seem to be very accurate. The most accurate devices I've seen that read boost is the autocal. Other than that a real code scanner that can do live data has shown to be pretty close too
@@TheAlpineShepherdBoy you can run the BNR on a stock cruze aswell, they have an option for stock tune so its way better than stock and much better quality over the mambatek.
Turbo original eixo e compressor ? Cara segurando 24 psi que em bar da 1.6 Kilo de pressão... Isso e durável essa pressão no turbo compressor original? E vc tuned stage 1 ou 2 no cruze ?
I am running turbobay's big turbo @24psi. We don't go by stages here in America, but my Cruze is full bolt on, stock internal motor. 24psi is achievable with a BNR tune.

What's the difference between a stock acuator and an aftermarket? Do they both not serve the same purpose. I am aware that the stock one can fail and leak, but what if it is not leaking and functioning normally. What would be the difference 🤔

Great video, dude. Love the Chrome look as we'll.
Matches great with my Chrome BNR billet oil cap!

@@WheresThe10mm will that universal mamba work?
@@AOG_ETH I'm not sure about the universal mambatek. I would stick with the Mambatek designed for the cruze if you choose to go the mambatek route

Yes, that's a newer option. Up until recently they were not certified for stock boost levels, now they are. -Ed
