Your video caused my neighbor to not want me to install a annke system in there house im down 200 , annke is fantastic value for money , the camera quality is amazing .
I have the Annke NCD800 as an overview camera with Blue Iris and I think it’s pretty good. Much higher price than $35 lol, but I don’t think all the Annke cameras are junk
I have 5 Annke DVRs that I've been buying since 2016 and all of them are still running at my business. About 20 cameras total of which maybe 8 have failed over these 9 years (and replacements cost $20 Amazon), all my cameras are indoor though so using outdoor, who knows? All I can say is that all of these DVRs together have cost me about $2000 max and I cant complain at all. I guess it also depends on your needs :)
I used annke products and to be fair they are budget level cameras and for the price other cameras cannot compete at all also the hikvision firmware can be installed Inc able to use hikvision app I found the turbo hd recorders to be very good combined with ip cameras added . Also the network recorder seem to also be ok and the pic quality is perfect for those who just want standard view and alerts . Obviously you have higher spec and they also seem to be rather good to my knowledge reliability also perfect as I've never had any issues if I had the money yes 250 £ camera but for 60£ yes you can't go wrong at all
Annke makes a lot of cameras, but they sent me these two to review. So everything I’m saying in these two reviews, is based on these two cameras (and recorder) and those only. I’m not talking about any of their other products. These cameras are definitely budget level and with surveillance you get what you pay for. As a professional installer that has been installing cameras since 2001, I can tell you, cameras of this quality will mostly likely fail in 3-4 years. I like to install cameras that will last much longer than that. On top of that, I can’t in good conscience recommend anything associated with Hikvision (in the U.S. anyway). But if you don’t mind that your cameras won’t be supported in the U.S. at all in a few years, go for it. As far as the recorder, I’m only speaking about the one sent to me, because that is what I had to work with for this review. Yes, as far as Hikvision goes, there are better recorders out there. But the one I reviewed is horrible. I wanted to like these cameras. When Annke reached out to me, I was really hoping I did. Obviously not the case.
I've noticed in the comments people mentioning NVR/DVR what is the difference please? I'm looking to buy a cctv system on a budget but no idea what to buy or what brand to go for?
Supercircuits cameras are available to the public & a lower grade with fewer features and shorter warranties. The higher end Alibi cameras are only available through dealers and have upgraded features and extended warranties. There is a big difference.
lol. I suppose. If that’s the way you like to do things….I don’t like buying equipment knowing I’m going to have to use the warranty. Doesn’t make sense to me.
I have used this brand for several years. And since a certain firmware version of the NVR recorder, I have been solving problems. With rok support, I solve several problems that these NVR devices have, and loop support corresponds to the same. Reluctance to solve anything. I am moving away from this brand because it totally ignores bugs in NVR firmwares and 3rd party camera support. Motion detection at the lowest sensitivity disaster. The manufacturer received a list of problems from me, to which he did not respond in any way. I recommend everyone to look for another brand. No one communicates with you, no one will give you company management. An absolute disaster. They tried to shut me up by offering me a free camera as compensation, but I was not concerned about the camera, but rather that I would not suffer financial damage and damage to my name. I do not recommend ANNKE.

Sorry about the 200, but I’m going to 100% disagree with you…there is nothing “fantastic” about Annke & the camera quality is far from “amazing”.

They have a top end that’s not so bad…as long as you’re not using their NVR. Lol

NVR stands for Network Video Recorder. DVR stands for Digital Video Recorders. DVRs are pretty much outdated in 2024. You’d want a NVR system.

They give 24 month warranty so you're good, just get a new one. 🙂
