I just bought my Kushaq yesterday and the UI you show in the video is different from the one in my car, the software is updated and the dealer said that Skoda doesn't offer wireless carplay and inbuilt navigation anymore. I showed them your video as reference.
Can you please confirm if it’s a Jio dongle or any other dongle?
In the new 8inch screen connected car feature is not available...only in 10inchscreen (monte carlo) connected car feature is available. This is because of the semi conductor shortage.

Yes. You can install it.

No. It won’t void warranty. You can use it
Where is theJIO IIMEI number located?
If you are able to login to JioMotive app, then you can find it there. Else on the rear side of dongle under double sided tape, it’s mentioned

Hi i am using Virtus Highline i dont see the Jio device there
Probably currently the Jio device is available in Topline and GT variants only.
Very helpful, i just purchased Skoda Kushaq the model doesn't have Gio dongle, my question is can I purchase a Gio dongle and connect it...Will it work. 2nd quary is how can I integrate GPS navigation in the infotainment system without using my mobile phone.
If your car doesn’t have the jio dongle you needn’t to be worried. It doesn’t work well. You can check some third party devices available online and use it. Those devices have inbuilt gps.

There seem to be multiple ports under the steering area (virtus). Which one is the right one for the tracking device? It fell off few days back.

Mine is not showing the location currently I logged out of the app and when logged back in its showing wrong location and no alerts is coming
Please unplug the dongle and plug it again. Sometimes it happens due to unavailable of network.

How do you fix it? This dongle keeps falling whenever I go through speed breaker
Using 3M double sided tape helps. I use this along with tie it with cable zip ties
Can you please help me. My app was working fine but from yesterday it is showing dongle not connected. How to fix this ? Please suggest.
Sometimes the dongle gets disconnected and fall down near the accelerator pedal. Please check if it happened and plug it again if it happened

You can’t use the internet from the dongle as it’s restricted for the connect app only.

Can falling of dongle trigger anti theft alarm?
No. Falling of dongle doesn’t trigger anti-theft alarm. Moreover its presence triggers false antitheft alarm sometimes
I have a slavia 1.5 ambition MT, does the top speed show in the trip log? Like how much top speed is there in the specific trip?
No. That feature is not available in MySkodaConnect App if your car has jio dongle
@@DirectShift idk if my car has jio dongle or not. But yeah in my skoda app, I can see the sudden accelerations and extreme turns and the locations of it and it records each and every trip, avg speed. But I don't know whether it logs the top speed of each trip in the history. Could you please check?

june 2022 kushaq model doesnt have jio dongle at this location, can anyone confirm if it is same in their case?

@@DirectShift bhai sorry for deviating from topic but wanted to know which fuel you are using? oct 91 or 95 and which fuel company?
No issues brother I am still using 91 octane, but planning to use 95 octane, the extra 5 rupees per litre may help in long run and good for engine.
And if you are planning for 95 octane, then look for Indian Oil XP95 from company operated fuel pumps. You may not get more mileage from it, but a few people claim that they get better mileage
I keep hearing notifications sound from dongle which pauses and resumes the music. Anyone facing the same?

You need to unplug the device, but it will send an alert that device unplugged
I recently brought Vw Taigun 1.0 Automatic the brochure for this says that this device connect to these features but my car doesn’t have any dongle in it 😢

I recently bought taigun gt plus....i cannot connect jio with jio motive....it's showing error as "the IMEI number is registered with other number"....the number i shared with dealer is not linked.....wen i ask the dealer they have no idea about it.....anyone any ideas?
If you are using 2 mobile numbers, then try loggin in with the another else If still the issue persists, please write an email to VW customer care, the dealer will only take this issue on priority. In most cases, the the registration process gets pending from dealer's end and they do it after so many follow ups.

Hello I have a Virtus Highline. And JIO dongle is not available. Should i ask the dealer to provide it or buy it myself. Also can you share some links where i can buy -- in case dealer declines?
Probably only the Topline and GT variants comes with Jio dongle. Need to verify once. If you don’t get it, no need to buy it separately. It’s not worth of money. You can go for any third party dongle, which works flawlessly.

Nahin. Uski apni app hogi. Waise VW App mein aisa kuch khas nahin jo baaki app mein nahin hoga. Sab ki features almost same hai. I will suggest to wait for some days, may be you won’t need it

If you disconnect the dongle from the car like you did in the starting of the video, will it stop tracking the car?
Yes. It won’t track and the app will show a notification dongle disconnected

You can do it from mobile notifications settings not from dongle.

I was able to login and access all the features on Skoda connect but in Jio motive when i login and add car it shows the device is not registered with the number i use in skoda connect

wifi is disabled for all. So needn’t to worry about it. I guess they have made some changes in new devices because of which JioMotive is not working

No it’s not possible. This app just shows information from the car, can’t control anything.

Yes. I have seen even in Honda City, this feature is there. By coding, it’s possible to roll down the window glass which is not there in Taigun, Kushaq etc. but will explore more and let you know if engine start is possible.

No. Some third party vendors do it. And it may void warranty

It shows in JioMotive app. Else you can check it by detaching the double sided tape from the dongle.

Yes , both VW and ŠKODA apps work but Jio motive doesn’t work
Hello. If you are using Cerence device, then it may not work in Jio Motive and Jio Things App, but if your device is a Jio one. It should work

It seems they have changed the operator or vendor for newer version of MyVWConnect and named it as MyVWConnectAppPlus, so basically this app will work for new users only.

There is no other option than having a data card. But remember if you connect the information to the datacard using wifi. It can’t be connected as wireless carplay or android as wifi get engaged with internet connection.
