This video has been very helpful! I always wanted to go to Seychelles but perhaps I will check out Zanzibar instead because I wanted to experience my people's culture. I'm not looking to vacation in Europe like places, respectfully. 👀
Tayo... you need to always reveal the name of the hotels, services or establishments that give crappy and bad service anywhere you go.... this will help the rest of us avoid such places and it will shame them and make them improve their services. Thanks for bringing us this information and videos.
@@GHANAFUNTUBE Or they treat you bad because the Seychelles, like a lot of melinated countries/islands, have been heavily gentrified especially in the money-making sectors (financial, real estate, tourism, etc.).
I really hate how if a country is “not black enough” or “too advanced” or “too exotic” it’s seen as not part of Africa even though geographically they are part of the continent. Such as countries like Egypt, Seychelles, Mauritius, Cape Verde etc. It’s so annoying because Africa is such a diverse continent but non-Africans perpetuate this monolithic image of “What Africa is” , So when there are countries that are different from what Africa is perceived like they are subconsciously dissociated from the rest of the continent. *ETA*: Oh my goodness! Some of you have completely missed the point so let me clarify. I am not trying to claim Arabs, white South Africans and Indians as Africans! What I’m saying is that as long as a country is geographically part of the African continent it IS AN AFRICAN COUNTRY! Whether the people that inhabit there identify as African or not. Egypt is a country in the North of Africa. Seychelles is a country right off the coast of East Africa. Cape Verde is a country right off the coast of West Africa! So Africans and those of African descent explore the beautiful continent of Africa and all of its diversity (the islands, the deserts in North and Southern Africa etc. ) . Don’t let the locals or the muzungus make you feel like you shouldn’t be there.
Seychelles and Cape Verde are very much part of "Africa". They are mixed, but retain a lot of similarities with the rest of the continent. Mauritius (excluding the creole island of Rodrigues) and lower Egypt have very little to do with the rest of Africa and should be considered fundamentally different places more similar to the Middle East and India. I don't know why some people use geography to water down the shared identity of equatorial Africa. People are not a landmass. People are shared history, genetics and culture. That's why Europeans don't call themselves "Eurasians" because they share a landmass with Asia. Unlike you, they value their unique identity.
@@WillieFungo Africa is a continent. There are other people from other parts of the world who made USA their home and are called Americans. It is the identity not the culture that make up a continent. I disagree with your point. It is basic and perpetuates the very idea these parts of the continent people hold about themselves.
@@youme1414 If you were proud to be an African, you wouldn't be desperate to share that identity with Egyptian Arabs and Mauritian Indians. Your problem is lack of pride.
I was thinking the same thing! I'm from the USA but I'm more familiar with the northern African countries because of the travel channels that I watch. I think Tayo would be culture shocked if he stepped in most of the northern African countries where often the majority of the population are not black. I enjoyed the video but I found that part a little off putting.
I legit thought to myself that it reminded me of a mix of allll the Caribbean islands in one, well maybe not all but quite a few lolol. I'm Trini and felt like this could easily be Trinidad and I thought of all the other islands as well and yes as you mentioned the colourism is quite reminiscent as well.
I’m big on supporting locals so I stayed at Daniella’s Bungalow in Mahe, a locally operated guest house. The host, Daniella, is amazing, the place is straight across the beach and on the local bus route which makes getting around the island convenient. She also makes amazing breakfast!
From a fellow seychelleoise I'm very sorry for the way you were treated here.It is nothing new from my people especially when it comes to African tourists it's not the first time people complain about racism here and i feel ashamed for some of our ignorant peope here.I agree with you and i have seen many Africans and Indian expats being mistreated by locals and even black ones.Im glad you showed it how it was and you shared your experience as a black tourist. And about the cost of living seychelles is very expensive even for us the locals.Prices are over exaggerated here. But i feel next time you visit seychelles you should get a better guide who can show you around and help you get better cultural experience for affordable prices
I'm a Seychellois and i totally agree on what you're saying. On behath of my people i trully apologize for our ignorance. We are all people and should be treated fairly and equally.
Watching this after visiting Seychelles a week ago. It is a wonderful place, the people were awesome, we never experience anything negative. Coming from East Africa it’s a very short flight, 3 hrs from Nairobi. It’s relatively expensive but pretty much what you get for a tourist destination. I realized hiring a taxi for full day tours was a better option since you get to see more places with a local than driving yourself. I did 6 days and seem to have visited more places than he did.
@@wanjiruthwagi3449 $2300 on everything including souvenirs, unnecessary buying etc. The flight was on the higher side $945 becos I booked last-minute. Stayed in a beachfront villa found it more friendly than hotel
@@puritynjagi I'm glad you had a wonderful stay in Seychelles, the mistake people do is that they do not get themself informed about the islands before going there.
Thank you so much for making this video. As a Seychellois studyin to work in the tourism industry, i completely agree about the service and the treatment not being good enough. And i think this video should be seen by the people that is doing their best at continuing to build our tourism industry so they can have a better idea of what maybe could be their next step. We should be sharing ourselves with our fellow africans and let them know that they are also welcomed, not just european and asian countries.
@@jamdawgutube im from Seychelles and I want more black people to visit. Honestly, this video is a misrepresentation of the rest of us who are actually woke and know a thing or two about black solidarity.
Thanks for the great vid @Tayo ... I have fond memories of the Seychelles as my wife and I went there for our honeymoon almost a decade ago ... I have never seen another island so beautiful like the Seychelles ... Our host family was just amazing and we have kept in touch to this day (Check Au Fond De Mer View Self Catering Apartment in Anse Royale) ... The warmth and culture of the Seychellois people will never leave my memory ... I look forward to going back with the kids sometimes in the near future :-)
I agree with everything you said! I just came back from Seychelles not too long ago and said similar things on my vlog and people said to come check yours out. The Europeans gave us all kinds of attitude and dirty looks, the service from the hotel was mediocre, food was OK & it's VERY expensive! It's a beautiful country nonetheless. Would I go back? Probably not, but I'm happy that I crossed it off my bucket list. Great Video Tayo!

Wow Seychelles is so beautiful, talking about the people Africa is a diverse continent, don't expect to see dark or black skin everywhere you go, they are mix, Arab, nd others Africa people too.
Seychelles is absolutely beautiful. We have visited over the past 40 years and watched it become a sort after exclusive resort but although I can’t afford to visit any more I think it is worth every penny in you can 💜
am currently in Seychelles and yes, your accurate with everything,.. Am Always at the beach and for the 8days i have been here i have only seen 2 black people in the water, and it was hard getting in the country as a black person alone, they as all these wired questions. I have been to Zanzibar twice and i would definitely recommend Zanzibar to Seychelles, Because it offers value for money.
I enjoyed watching this video and as a seychellois I agree that the cost of living is very high for both tourists and locals, the only difference that we're used to it so I can imagine how shocking it is for foreigners especially the differences in quality and value for your money. I apologize that you had to experience Coral Strand, a hotel that even locals tend to avoid because of the crappy service and it's sad to admit that crappy service is a constant thing in Seychelles 🙃 But I hope that despite the fact that its very expensive here, that you were able to enjoy your time here at least 😊
Now this . He said he wanted to leave as soon as he arrived , meaning he regretted setting his foot there . The racism . The inferiority complex was not bearable .
Fennella this is wonderful what you have said about home. We each have a few things about our hometowns that can be improved but I would wish that we could all do a bit more research when we are traveling to smaller nations. Simply because options are few in each tax/hotel bracket when you don’t research enough. Travel is expensive so like in real estate people say, location, location, location….travel is: research, research, research or verify, verify, verify.🤗
This video is really expensive sometimes I wonder how he funds this videos for our entertainment and just for us to see, guys let's do what we can to support him by watching ad's. But still, great videos always a banger!
I've been to both Seychelles and Zanzibar. Stone Town Is culturally very interesting and there are some great beaches in Zanzibar and very good food. But if you want to see what the real Garden of Eden would have looked like and witness the true beauty of nature the uniqueness of Seychelles will bring tears to your eyes. I've visited Seychelles twice ( Mahe,Praslin La digue ) the granitic formation are unique in the world, the untouched nature, the High mountains the jungle, the plants the multitudes of wild beaches just left untouched as It was 200-300, years agò. In Seychelles there are places where the human been Is Just a privileged guest in the mother's nature Kingdom. I could go back there 50 more times in my lifetime and still be gobsmackd by such beauty.
Really weird how so many nations with very high-african ancestry don't even consider themselves african. Dominican republic and of course seychelles are two extremes.
why should that bother you.For all i care they might have fallen from the moon....if only this africanism was transformed to work instead of a social agenda we could move forward.
Naa I think I'll pass. Cant get with the self hate. "We are a mix of Chinese, European, and Indian" when it's obvious theres plenty of Black too. In Tanzania at the moment. I think I'll stay on the Swahili Coast where Africans know they're Africans.
facts and the worse part is when the mixed brother started talking about the mixed community are the beautiful ones not the indigenous africans. that's too much like my home of New Orleans where we have a "creole" meaning native Louisianan community that only promotes and invest in the mixed community. pretty soon the majority will be europeans, the sub class will be mixed raced, and the indigenous africans will be at the bottom of the barrel much like Haiti and other countries in similar situations. I need real Africans that know and are proud to be African!
What wrong by been mix race ?, Black people can be as racist as white people, people choose how they wanna define themselves however some people wanna put them in their own box
@@dokotelam7207 there’s nothing wrong with being mixed race. Unambiguous black people are oppressed and abused by whites and mixed race people across the Americas (North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean). We have fought for our identity and visibility in our countries. So when we hear a mixed/quadroon say that the mixed people are the only beautiful people in the island meaning that the unambiguous people are unattractive is fucked up. You should address what the mixed man said and have some sympathy toward black the audience Tayo caters to?
@@CrescentcitygoddessThey identify as mixed race due to Creolization, The first colonists who settled in the Seychelles were 15 White men, 8 Africans and 5 Indians. Then came the Chinese in 1886 and from then the country developed into the ultimate melting pot. I visited Seychelles from Nigeria in 2018 and stayed at Mahe but also spent time at La Digue and Praslin. It was lovely but I totally relate to this video. I felt a bit unwelcome starting from the Airport. I was especially upset when the black seychellois Immigration officer allowed everyone to pass through but stopped my new bride's bag to have it searched, without any good explanation. Not the best way to start a honeymoon. However, our rented villa and hosts were lovely and very accomodating. By day 2, ee ditched the exorbitant taxis and paid pennies for buses which allowed us to experience the real Seychelles
Had an amazing time in Seychelles. Honestly, it was one of my cheapest international vacations. We spent the majority of our time in Praslin and on Eden Island and we stayed in Airbnb‘s versus hotels. While we did notice that we didn’t see a lot of other Black tourist there, we made friends with locals and had an awesome time seeing some non-touristy corners of Mahé.
Hello I’m interested in going to Praslin. I’m having trouble trying to get the logistics down of how to get there from the United States. Any information would be great! Thanks.
Had it crossed your mind that the overwhelming majority of tourists to the Seychelles being white has anything to do with the average black person/family being hugely poorer than Caucasians?
I’ve been to Seychelles on three separate occasions and I can confirm that everything Tayo said in this video is true. It’s a beautiful country, and there’s no doubt about that. If it’s on your bucket list, please visit. You won’t regret it. But yes, classism exists, even among the locals. Racism yes. They can also come across as being unfriendly especially to black folks. You’ll notice white people being given priority treatment. I’ve been to Zanzibar as well and I still would choose Seychelles because I think it’s really just that gorgeous. However it’s not somewhere I would stay for too long being a black person.
I was shocked when I found out Seychelles, Mauritius and many more beautiful Islands are part of the African continent. And I think I am not the only one, even me a Ghanaian living in Germany always saw movies of white Europeans on those Islands, never portrayed as African. I think we should start teaching this correctly, the normal media will not.
I'm very saddened to hear this. I come from Seychelles and I'm in the hotel industry too. I would never treat any of my clients different from the other because of their skin. It breaks my heart.I apologise on behalf of the people who made you feel this way.
Seychelles appears to have identity issues. For example, when the native gentleman described "Kreol", he conveniently forgot African as a part of the mixture along with Indian Asian, and European. The natives don't mention their African heritage and when this is left out, they will treat those that they view as being more African very poorly. I had this island on my bucket list however it may be removed.
Having been to Seychelles, i can say they don't consider themselves as Africans. Asides the proximity to the continent, i think they are more Indian than African. As for the visit, they have a good vibe but expensive which is not really a bad thing. For the food, try the Beau Vallon beach as the hotel food comes out bland for an African.
@@djb.8507 I give you a practical example. While at La Digue on the Island Hopping trip, part of the buffet served was a certain beans variety which i saw there for the first time. In order to encourage me to eat it, the lady (a Seychellois) said to me: "I know you eat that in Africa cause i have been to Africa and i ate it there too." That statement got me wondering where we were at the moment. These are valid experiences as most of your people don't easily identify as Africans which is okay. Going through every comment to nullify or argue peoples experiences isn't necessary. You can do that when it is a perception but saying people did not experience what they did is not a good fight. On a good side, the racism stuff does not exist. We discovered Beau Vallon food on day 3 of our 5 day trip and we ate there every single day till we left. Got some takeaway too. The food was irresistible. Best shrimps i ever tasted. The island is a bubbling and youthful one. The immigration staff on our departure was probably in her early 20s. Unheard of in my country Nigeria. Your Island hosted the exiled Ghanaian Kumasi royalty before he returned home. I observed the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has a branch there which says a lot about the Nigerian presence there. Also met 2 basketball players who ply their trade there. So yeah, the blacks are on ground. Just that on the tourism experience side, you have more Europeans than Africans trooping in which explains Tayo's experience. That is valid.
Seychelles is beautiful. But can we acknowledge the beautiful and cool lady we've seen a couple of times in Tayo's videos? I noticed her the first time in his Ethiopia travel videos. I like their chilled vibe. No pressure, Tayo. We will be here when you are ready to open up lol
@Danny Baronne I think the damage has already been done. As a Seychellois born and bred in Seychelles. This is my stance I am first proud of being a Seychellois this is normal its my country and will never change it for any other. I am proud to be of African, Asian, Malagasy and European descent. My African heritage is more prominent in the color of my skin, whereas my daughter has a skin tone totally different from me. Those that make her less or more, no it just make her human and Seychellois. We are also part of Africa. True we are not part of the mainland. My ancestors could hail from Any part of Africa but which part we don't know. Being from the African region we are Africans. Africa is not a country but is made up of different countries and all of them has their own culture or mixed of people. Seychellois are fortunate that we have a bit of every continent in us. That is our blessing. Like you said why will go to pay for expensive excursions when we can do that ourselves with no cost. With Covid most of us are stuck at home because of restrictions or because we are trying to avoid exposing our families who are vulnerable to the sickness. I've read these comments and I'm so surprised because I'm looking at my family pictures and to see the different tones of colors of my aunt, uncles my grandmothers and grandfather's I would like to know where is the segregation? Like any other our people are face with the same issues. My teachers where from. Kenya, India, Sri Lanka France and England. And my current teacher is chinese. My advice to the author of this video if you wanted to actually to see more Seychellois make some Seychellois friends look for a good guide and don't get stuck I the tourist attraction but come to our community and I'm sure your experience will be different. And by the way we work on weekdays so we mainly go out for fun on weekends.
Crazy! Yesterday I was researching vacation spots and I was considering Seychelles for my mom's birthday now I think Zanzibar would be best. Thanks for the Video
Then you don't know what you missing. Yes we are expensive but Tayo also came at the wrong time since we are still under covid restrictions and should have gotten a proper guide to take him to the right places. he mostly visited tourist spots and not the real Seychelles. Plus he didn't get the chance to visit some great other Island. After all, we have 115 islands total. You want to really enjoy your stay you need to get the right people to take you around.
I would encourage you to go and create your own experiences. Don't let one or two people stop you. Get out there and live, enjoy and learn. You won't regret it.
Have lived and worked in The Seychelles and I can say that its really amazing to live in this Island. amazing people ,culture and the temperatures as well as the weather. you leave Victoria raining reaching providence its scorching sun. you want first hand experience don't come for two days, come for a whole month and get what's right. yea it could be expensive but what do you expect from a nation worth 100k people which imports every commodity including biscuit.
Nice one bro, I do believe is expensive BCS is another way of discouraging many people from coming BCS they can't afford to accommodate so many tourists. Over here in Europe we have similar places too. Monaco, Ibiza!
I am new to cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, but I am very interested and curious to start investing in it, although I do feel this is kind of late now. Can anyone tell me what I need to do?
Investing in Bitcoin is the number one thing one should be doing right now, although there are lots of risks the best way to invest is through cryptocurrency and Forex.
I have been studying in Mauritius for 3years, the same discrimination against Africans. Not sure I would want to go to Seychelles. But despite the people's experience, it's a beautiful country
I have seen in this comment section many people who has never even step foot in the Seychelles making conclusions based on a 14 minutes video on the experience of one person. I am not undermining the experience of anyone. However let the people who has been here who actually experience whatever you assume us locals go through talk. Because one cannot speak on a history and culture one hasn’t experience nor understand.
Why there aren't more Black people from the Mainland is probably because of Europeans come with Higher purchasing power I guess and most don't know about the place. In Nigeria they don't advertise other African countries to us and we end up going to spend exorbitant prices in Europe and America. Thankfully your channel and Maya's open a lot more eyes to the beauty within our borders where we don't have to experience racism just to have a good time.
I’ve been researching this island for years and it looks amazing. Very expensive to become a resident though. I don’t think they want it to be over crowded which is a good thing. Very low key!
I had the pleasure of visiting the Seychelles once when I was in the US Navy. It is by far the most beautiful place I've ever seen. Thanks for the video. It literally took me down memory road and reignited the desire to revisit.
Happy belated birthday to you, Tayo. Many happy returns of the day, in sound health, in wealth and in joy and happiness. Cheers to many many years ahead!
I was thinking the same thing. They deny their black heritage then 1000 years later they say black people never lived there (cough cough, north Africa, cough).

Hi Tayo, I‘m from Switzerland and I had a similar impression like you when I travelled to the Seychelles. It’s quite on the expensive side and you pay a lot for little service at times. The nature is amazing and I really like how much Seychellois are taking care of the environment. Two corrections to add: The market in Victoria is not only a tourist market. Seychellois actually buy their groceries from there. And the beach at Carana is not private. There’s an entrance on the side of the road - it’s a bit hidden tough.
I'm from Seychelles and I went to Geneva in Switzerland in October, the prices there compared to here were a bit similar but here is definitely expensive relative to the quality of services, and just to add, I really loved Switzerland the people were nice and the place was significantly cleaner than here, but all in all everything is going to be different wherever you go
There is no such thing as " PRIVATE BEACH" in Seychelles... don't let anyone tells u that this is their beach, u have all the rights to go on any beach u like , as long as you don't walk on anyone's property! Thank you for the nice comments. Seychelles is expensive and to enjoy it you need cash. The story hotel is nice and pricy in comparison to the coral stand which is classified as a 3 stars Hotel. Can't wait to visit. The locals look lovely. A client lives there and he and his family are very happy. No complaints about the people or anything else but mentioned it's very expensive. Other than that - it's their home now. 😊
I always have to fix my western lens. As a person from the Caribbean who moved to the United States, they looked black to me… all of them. They just have different hues, like us, but somehow they view them selves as not quite black… which is interesting for me to see. Over here, anything mixed with black is black. The genes are just that strong 🤣, but it was nice to see our brothers and sisters on islands on the other side of the world. I wish them health and prosperity. BTW, island living is always expensive because we tend to have to import everything. When we moved to the United States, we actually SAVED money.
You sound sooo bitter. Why does our mixed heritage bother you so much. In the Seychelles we do not have just dark skin citizens. We have Asians, mostly Indians & Chinese, We have also many white citizens mostly descendants from France & England. Our African ancestors were slaves from Madagascar & main land Africa. The white citizens will be seen as tourists. There are a lot of white families. You all sound so bitter. Some mentioned that there are only white tourists, so what. Why does it bother you so much. We welcome anyone. You are not happy with us being mixed. 🙄 That’s who we are. A mixed nation.
My best friend is from Seychelles, she introduced us to Takamaka 😅 we were taking shots one night and a friend from out of town had it for the first time and she threw up immediately, like on the spot 😆 I respected Takamaka ever since, that thing is potent. Great content as always Tayo! It would be nice though if you gave us some tips as to how to fly to these places (including costs), especially because of the pandemic.
Thanks for reviewing Seychelles. i used to have it on my bucket list but now I changed my mind because i always travel on a budget. Indeed it looks too expensive on a budget
African brothers & sisters, why is it so hard to love each other? 😭 Had Seychelles on my list for the longest but I prefer Zanzibar’s vibe now. Also wondering why people who went on honeymoon or had their weddings there didn’t put out how expensive it is (maybe it wasn’t expensive to them sha).
It's Mostly expensive for tourist the locals have free health care and schools...which ever chooses to pay for private is entirely up to them... Food most people grow their food and keep their livestock and water is everywhere on the island most people uses solar panels to cut costs of electricity. If you are someone who wants to spend time eating in restaurant instead of cooking your own food then prepare to bring out the cash. Most locals are extremely friendly they will even offer to cook for you if you meet the nice ones go to the south part of the island ( beauvallon area north west area People are more in the modern mind set selfish a bit )
do you know how diverse africa is? to expect africans to all get along is just impossible considering how different they can be culturally and ethnically, the notion that all africans want to unite is just a western idea stemming from the idea that all africans are just black.
I'm Nigerian and currently living in Seychelles. And I can tell you that almost everything on this video is true. The country is more than expensive, that even the average European tourists laments about it sometimes too . In terms of culture, Seychelles is not a rich cultural country, only their creole dance and foods are the only culture I can say they have. Talking about beauty, this country is amazingly beautiful and very safe. Tayo didn't really get to visit the inner islands (which are where the beauty lies) and I don't blame him for it because as a visiting content creator here, you can't cover the most beautiful places because of the expenses involved (as a tourist you pay more in everything, than we the residents and the locals). So, if you can afford to visit Seychelles, give it a try, its one of the best islands in the world. Europeans don't rush here year in, year out for nothing.

Coming from East Africa it’s a very short flight, 3 hrs from Nairobi. It’s relatively expensive but pretty much what you get for a tourist destination. Seychelles appears to have identity issues. For example, when the native gentleman described "Kreol", he conveniently forgot African as a part of the mixture along with Indian Asian, and European. The natives don't mention their African heritage and when this is left out, they will treat those that they view as being more African very poorly.
Mauritius is like Seychelles but way better with a lot of proud, friendly & prosperous black people & the weather is amazing... Trust me!!!

Africa is not a country but is made up of different countries and all of them has their own culture or mixed of people. Seychellois are fortunate that we have a bit of every continent in us. That is our blessing. Like you said why will go to pay for expensive excursions when we can do that ourselves with no cost. Wow...This is a tourist destination. A very beautiful country.
Beautiful place, lovely people…was there this summer. Just gave me the chill seeing all the places all again through your video. I didn’t get the treatment you got. I felt I really welcomed. Perhaps I got lucky. It also felt like Trinidad & Tobago. Same vibes. I stayed at the Story hotel. Definitely, will be revisiting to explore more.
Thank you for the nice comments. Seychelles is expensive and to enjoy it you need cash. The story hotel is nice and pricy in comparison to the coral stand which is classified as a 3 stars Hotel. Coral strand is the very basic. Come here enjoy and leave your pride at home, we are down to earth. It seems that the author is looking down on the people of Seychelles and seychellois can sense it.
@@sharonvel4485 your comment makes no single sense.
He's a travel blogger, that has been to so many countries, why would he just want to bring down your country for no reason??
Seychelles 🇸🇨 is a very beautiful area, thanks for sharing this video, nice country! Toya, your videos are nice, thanks for doing what you do best, a big fan of you in Liberia 🇱🇷!
I fell in love in the Seychelles. Had an amazing time .
I met a person from Seychelles once . She was mixed with African but clearly did not like Africans so your video and your experiences make sense to me. I'll leave Seychelles for the white people
Mixed with black or African ?
@@PAYDAYHEDGE African but she hated to admit it 😂😂
@@ifehansson2254 you can not be mixed with African, Africa is not a race.. you should be saying black..
@@PAYDAYHEDGE They are synonymous. Black is African, African is black. Anyone trying to say "its diverse" is spreading BULLSHiiiiiiiT.

Finally the video I've been waiting for. Been thinking of going to either Seychelles or Cape Verde next year. Already watched your Cape Verde video and was hoping you could do Seychelles as well in order to compare.
Thankfully, this video did justice to it for me
I lived there for 6 months and it was the best time of my love. Seychelles always will be the love of my life. Thank for the great video, Praslin, La Digue, Cousin, Aride worth a trip too :) they are amazing smaller islands.
Can u accommodate me please
I was dreaming of having a beach house in Seychelles. I’ll change the location now, considering how expensive it is😂 but want to visit Seychelles and Zanzibar once. Ah i love beaches. The sun, the water, the brightness. My ultimate dream to have a beach house❤❤
Seychelles is one of my favorite country in Africa
You definitely should come back on a more organized plan. And do better research and check reviews before attempting any “buying and paying” 😅
Glad you’ve experienced the beauties of Seychelles tho.
And I know it was a worthy trip when you think about how we are trying to blend with nature and also preserving it. ❤️ 🇸🇨
Tayo's video just makes my day better
We visited the Seychelles for two years, Mahe, Praslin, Bird Island and Curieuse. Gorgeous nature , friendly people, the best ( and the most expensive ) dinner I have ever eaten in my life...😄
I remember especially Anse Lazio....( Praslin ), absolutely fantastic !!!
I stayed on the Seychelles, Praslin Island for one week. Beautiful. I enjoyed it very much. Went to the Constance Lemuria resort. Highly recommended!
God gave the dark skinned people of the world the best looking places. May we continue to take great care of it.
Agree, but look who fighting us for it.
@@claudiefurgus3981 Very true. But one step forward is better than no step at all,
Really? Did God? If I remember correctly most of the islands were 'jail' for the slaves. Kidnapped with no hope of returning back. Just like Jamaica, Dominican Island, Barbados including Seychelles and many more were slave islands. believe me that none of our ancestors happily volunteer to go there
Many commentators here does not understood him, in years to come you will understand.👂
Isn't that just the truth!
Their roads really look good and quality
I'm happy that you said "I felt like going back home" because of the reception you received in that country. Why then the hues and cry about Nigeria not being a good country? Nigeria is big, our attitude is big, therefore, our life is big". All we need is good leadership to propel us to the future.
All you need is hard work, creativity, unity and patriotism... Bad leadership is subjective & it's the least of your problems.
Stop making excuses about big this and that. ? What utter nonsense. Roll up your sleeves and develop your country. Stop running to other countries and saying you have big attitude... 😂
I am pleased to find your video... you are a real tourist/ explore. You were handed lemons, and you made lemonade...that is what traveling is all about... creating new ventures/experiences
Thanks again
bro its so important to keep the reviews honest. glad u mentioned the odd treatment. great work as usual.
It's so cool that their accents are so Caribbean! I assumed they would speak with a more African accent, but I'm hearing Jamaican, Trini, and Bajian mixed together! Really beautiful country! I also noticed that the man speaking about the culture didn't mention African as a cultural influence...
Nothing that I hate like blacks who hate blacks base on skin colour. I will never set foot there.
He obviously made a mistake. We're a mix of Africa, Europe and Asia. Don't know why he said Chinese lol
@@rutha8562 he made a mistake and forgot about Africa . I have friends mixed with chinese so that's not an issue. I guess he should have said Asia more appropriate.
@@annasey2008 yeah that's exactly what I'm saying! He didn't have to be specific.
@nicole said the same thing about their accent. Even the topography of the island is just as the Caribbean even could pass for Dominica 🇩🇲 where I’m from.
Thanks for another great educational video. The country look beautiful from this video. From what I know about Seychelles they have one of the best education systems in Africa. As well they have great HDI and ofcourse tourism is important for their economy.
What I always love about your travel video is the HIGH LEVEL of details you provide. Your story telling is extraordinary. Well done and keep up the good work.
Their education system is pathetic judging from their thinking capacity.
I'd Say Kenya, Rwanda & Botswana have better education system
Omg! I can't imagine booking and accommodation and later realizing it doesn't exist. That's crazy! Great video!
There are two sides to every story, he's not telling us something.
Thank you very much for this, it is one country I was really planning to go to because of it's beauty but watching this am not sure is worth it.
❤💚🖤 I have been to about 15 African countries and Seychelles was my worse experience. For a better experience and less money you can explore other African countries. Seychelles was very expensive everything was over priced and as you mentioned there not really any Black guest mostly white , arab. My stay was scheduled for 7 days but they said i could only stay 3 at the immigration. So I had to pay for another ticket. They made me go to an atm to show them I had money in my account. They actually called my hotel to check my reservation too.
That’s crazy
@@pomme_paille yea they gave me a real hard time at immigration. They made me go to an atm to show them I had money. They actually called my hotel to check my reservation too.
The immigration officers are too stupid to serve their slave masters at the expense of their own fellow Africans.
@@josephquaye9756 sad smh
That's messed up! What country did you visit from?
Tourism is prior for a good living, I don't know why many countries in west Africa, fails to emulate others in terms of Tourism!! 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 🇳🇬
We will it's happening soon
Seychelles is absolutely beautiful! I don't mind going there to settle. Nice vlog, Tayo.
you should have a price break down at the end of the video explaining your daily expenses such as food, gas, car rental, room rental, restaurants etc.... that would be awesome I do agree Zan is much better and affordable
Great idea
Many of them are douglas
Hi to Seychelles neighbors of Somalia 🇸🇴 we share similar beaches ✌️❤️
Southern kismayo 1500 miles 🇸🇴🙏🏽🇸🇨
Come to Mauritius bro,it's paradise on earth 🇲🇺🇳🇬
Bro, I just looked up Mauritius beaches online. I'm speechless! Wow!! Cheers from the USA!
Mauritius is the best 😊
Don't be ridiculous, only because Mauritius is cheaper than Seychelles doesn't mean that we are that bad😏
Same thing dominated by Indians
It's even worse than Seychelles. The racism is worse plus pollution made me sick for days.
I live in Seychelles i wish one day if you come to visit Seychelles i will see you .
I've fallen in love with Seychelles
My best friend is from Seychelles, she introduced us to Takamaka 😅 we were taking shots one night and a friend from out of town had it for the first time and she threw up immediately, like on the spot 😆 I respected Takamaka ever since, that thing is potent. Looking forward to make my trip to the Island too
Bro i truly appreciate the way you recommended Zanzibar.
I'm local guider from Zanzibar and please make sure you check me when you come back.
Much love
Great content as always Tayo! It would be nice though if you gave us some tips as to how to fly to these places (including costs), especially because of the pandemic.
Thanks for reviewing Seychelles. i used to have it on my bucket list but now I changed my mind because i always travel on a budget. Indeed it looks too expensive on a budget
I laughed out sooo loud!
Some of then tortoise are getting freaky freaky!
@@Lovelaugh458 Thank you for explaining further. Found it helpful 🙏🏽
do you know how diverse africa is? to expect africans to all get along is just impossible considering how different they can be culturally and ethnically, the notion that all africans want to unite is just a western idea stemming from the idea that all africans are just black.
@@artwithymd. Because we don't have time to live around with racists dunderheads especially on African soil. They will never be part of Africa
Beautiful place. I've heard of Seychelles before. I didn't know it was part of Africa. Nice video! 😊🤗😊🤗
Is is not..
@@elsadegeus7772 say a NOBODY!
ASK a Seychellois if it is part of Afrika..they will say NO
I'm Nigerian and currently living in Seychelles.
Their is definitely something special here that make them to always want to vacation here, despite its coastlines.
Bro is they jobs am also a Nigerian living in Dubai
I visited the other island. new video dropping soon. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
@@manikjee873 yes bro. Seychelles has a lot of jobs. That’s why it’s one of the few countries of the world with almost 0 unemployment rate. Their citizens are not enough for to occupy the jobs here. So 50-70% workforce here are expatriates.
