    You can also purchase food from local takeaway, they normally work out to around Rs50 for a large meal. This is what me and my husband do every time we visit, all local takeaways have a menu outside. When you walk in simply tell the local what you want to order and they will get if from the kitchen or serve you through a visible buffet.

    Great tips!! As a local I’d just advise everyone to not go swimming at anse intendance , Grande Anse -Mahe & Grande Anse -La Digue. (Especially if you’re not a very good swimmer).They are super beautiful but equally dangerous. The waves & currents are strong.

    I live and work here in Seychelles. And I can tell you that this is the most expensive country I have ever lived in. Everything is just expensive. And when I mean expensive, I mean 3-4 times of the price you can get same products and services elsewhere. And one of the reasons behind the expensiveness of this country is because they import almost everything.

    How easy is it to find parking? Are there parking spots around beaches and trails etc?

    • @milidiyasha
      @milidiyasha 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Normally you need to park on the side of the road. Most of the time there's no dedicated parking but sometimes there is)))

    Google maps works but it always put the places you are looking for in the wrong place so when you reach that location it is not it that is if you are searching for a accommodation or restaurant but some spot are accurate.im from Seychelles your on point on a lot of things.november to march is rainy season but I don't always be raining we have not seen rain for quite a while here in december.yes Seychelles is priced crazy I relation to alot of services I been traveling so I understand what you're saying.just try to get a good local who is not trying to squeeze money out of you for a living and you will enjoy the best days in Seychelles

    Great video. Some useful tips :) one thing i was surprised was that google maps wouldn’t work. It might have something to do with the internet connection right? But what if you download maps of the islands for offline use before you go? Can someone confirm if it would work?

      @kellybarallon7849 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! Seychellois here, Google maps usually works for me but I guess it depends on your Internet connection. It's difficult to get lost here though, the islands are so small :)

    Great info, why do you advice to avoid using credit card? Is it for security?

    • @MaxTheSensei
      @MaxTheSensei  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In our experience we found that lots of places prefer cash. I don't think it's unsafe to use debit or credit, it was a little hustle for us to finish ND places that would accept debit card payments

    Planning to travel Seychelles during Feb 1st week. Is it recommended? Is there too much rainfall during that time?

    Things have changed since this video, prices are way higher now. If you go to Praslin everything is marked for tourists and locals get different prices. Prices of everything are higher than in Dublin, the most expensive city in Europe.
