Your final image with the man and dog has a very spiritual component to it. The man and dog are walking calmly into the light from dark and somewhat chaotic surroundings. Love it! Thanks for including this in today’s video.
You are one of the people who makes me feel that I should continue practicing and studying photography. Your photos are amazing and I am a big fan of your work.
Keeps reminds myself in this dull winter overclouded misty periode. Its not me lacking inspiration, its a dull periode!!! When the right condition comes again, things will be easy again.
Nigel, I haven't even finished watching your video (yet) because I just want to say how much I LOVE that photo with the 2 bare branches! It is stunning...I'm pretty sure I would've walked right by that one. I just love how you "see so creatively"! All of the images today are SUPERB! I'm so glad you went out and even happier that you made a video for us...thank you!
All of the images were really nice, but the images that last day, were stunning!! Those just seemed to jump out at the viewer. Pebbles seemed to really enjoy the days out! lol Thanks for taking us along.
I love Nigel's woodland photography sessions. As much as there's skill that goes into capturing mountain scenery, it seems a greater challenge to assemble the jumble and mess of a woodland into striking compositions.
Amazing photos Nigel! The last prints are amazing. However I particularly like the one by the lake with the person walking the dog. Makes me wanting to be there!

Cracking video again, Nigel! These photos are stunning and those light rays… wow! Amazing conditions! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Nigel for another great video. Love the foggy woodland phots. Just show hows how interesting the woodland looks with a bit of fog 👍. Merry Christmas 🏔❄☃ and all the best for 2025 📷🌄.
Nigel, your mistakes tend to resemble my best shots! LOL. What a wonderful project and what a great time you had with Pebbles. Thank you! Looking forward to seeing this work on Squarespace.
Nigel, no doubt you had wonderful conditions for woodland photography and you got some lovely images. But the two images that stood out for me were the close-up of the branches curving through the frame and the one with the man and his dog. Both are quiet images that don't shout at you. They convey a calming feeling of serenity.
So inspiring Nigel, I love the way you bring out the path into the details of your creative compositions. I always learn so much from each of your videos. Thank you for all the effort you put into each and every one.
I really enjoy these winter videos from the UK. We don't get those conditions here and it makes me want to cry. :) Thanks for a great video, and Merry Christmas!!
I like including people in woodland photography, it’s something I do quite often as it lends another layer of interest and often a focal anchor. Im really quite jealous of the amount of fog you seem to get in your area.
Fabulous video Nigel thanks for sharing - some great foggy conditions and nice to see Pebbles enjoying the mud!! No meta data on the photos which was a shame as it's always good to see what aperture, shutter speed and ISO you are using for your superb photos so we can learn from them...
It has never occurred to me to use my phone in order to assess the shot before taking it. This will be a game changer for me. Thank you sooooo much for this wonderful video.
Some great conditions for shooting woodland scenes in and some beautiful images captured too. The light on the final day was epic! I'm so envious. I'm usually driving to work when I witness anything even remotely like this, with no time to stop let alone capture anything. Of course, on my days off I rarely see epic conditions, but when they do happen it makes it so special and I appreciate it even more.
Nice one again Nigel. Good to see you out again. Really love your woodland shots. The woodlands at your region are beautiful 👍 Have to visit that area once, such pretty scenery..
Beautiful work Nigel, the side light rays and the following beach trees are my favourites, beach trees in the Autumn are to die for photographically ! Cheers! 500k so very close!
Great Shots Nigel wonderful lighting conditions , great when it all comes together, I would like you to add the meta data as woodland photography is Great but difficult , this would help me and many other watching no doubt, thanks
Great video. I've photographed that Hornbeam tree a number of times over the years and never had mist (At the beginning of your video). You have the luck of the Irish when it comes to light and mist :) The last images with the rays of light are stunning! Also love the shot of the guy and his dog.
Wow i enjoyed this so much the images on the final day.... blew me away. so lovely. hope you and your family have a wonderful christmas Nigel, and happy christmas to everyone reading this message too .
Haven't had fog in ages, but it's very thick this morning. I got my daughter up and we went outside before breakfast, and I was able to get a nice shot of her to use for her Senior photo for school. No dramatic sunbeams like yours, but she's happy with it!
Had my knee replacement on Tuesday so feeling a little sore and sorry for myself but on the brighter side I will definitely get out more in the NY with my camera....thanks for all the inspiration
One of my first photos had beautiful light rays. It ended up winning a National Trust competition. Beech are my favourite trees. Your second print (seen when walking with Ann and Pebbles) is stunning, Nigel.
Great video thank you - I’m definitely going to walk round the local woodlands and take my landscape camera into the forest not just my wildlife camera and lenses thanks again
Good to see you being happy in your local woodlands scenes. Being there on the right moment, that's your message for the coming year and I will take it to heart. We had a lot of grey covered days, not inspiring to go out and the few brilliant hour there were, I had to much appointments in my agenda. But I bought a Z 105 macro lens. That in combination with my new Z6 III camera offers so much of fun playing with light and depht of field, even with the autofocus. Makes waiting on better conditions bearable. Nice Christmas days, Bert.
Great video and beautiful images. Always pick up a gem or two from your vids - this time your tips on the histogram and checking the individual channels was super useful. Thanks Nigel.
Hello Nigel, great conditions result in awesome photos. Nice to follow you in the woodland and take part in your emotions. Concerning the histogram: It´s always based on the jpeg file, not on the raw file. So if there´s a peeak on the right or left side (especially if it´s just for one color), don´t care about it if you photograph in raw. Greetings from Bernd
Thanks for this fantastic video Nigel. Really inspiring. You mentioned it briefly in one scene: check your individual color channels in these foggy conditions because one channel might hit the limit. Maybe you could do a video on that? That's one of the things I always forget after taking a shot
Wow, this video is fantastic! You perfectly showed the same conflict, I always have in the forest. There is so much content on the picture, that it very often disappointing when looking at the pictures on the screen. And starting with min 17:00 you showed the amazing pictures when the light is fitting. Key message, the "boom" pictures come with the perfect light. So thanks for sharing this, these instructions are so helpful to get more satisfaction out of my forest pictures.
I’m jealous of your woodland of interestingly twisted trees and relatively clean forest floor. Too many straight trees and blown-down tree trunks in upstate New York.
Great video and stunning image's. The image with the dog and man was outstanding and gives a sense of scale. Perhaps you could do this again in the future.
Some wonderful photos here. You're fortunate to have such photogenic forests near you. I particularly like the shot of the beech trees at 23:00. Well done.
Sunday mornings are best with Nigel, Pebbles, and a walk in the woods.
👍
Your final image with the man and dog has a very spiritual component to it. The man and dog are walking calmly into the light from dark and somewhat chaotic surroundings. Love it! Thanks for including this in today’s video.
Great to see Pebbles again... a wet dog is a happy dog!
You are one of the people who makes me feel that I should continue practicing and studying photography. Your photos are amazing and I am a big fan of your work.
The shot with the bloke and his dog in it is almost perfect Nigel, so well done mate.
The polarizer made a huge difference in that woodland shot, but how do you know when to apply the filter?
Keeps reminds myself in this dull winter overclouded misty periode. Its not me lacking inspiration, its a dull periode!!! When the right condition comes again, things will be easy again.
Loved the images and the video. It’s good to see Pebbles featured again!
Great sunday morning, pebbles and some beautiful scenery. Those last few images, rays of light, tree shot awesome.
Pebbles! Long time no see. Very nice and emotional pictures. Thank you both.
Stunning images Nigel.
Nothing like a walk in the woods with your dog(s), a camera in hand taking the time to find and appreciate the beauty.
Wow, great footage. Had a really good time watching this 😃 Great images by the way.
So lovely to see you out and about with Pebbles. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. xxx
All of the images were really nice, but the images that last day, were stunning!! Those just seemed to jump out at the viewer. Pebbles seemed to really enjoy the days out! lol Thanks for taking us along.
Oh my! Those photos you got on the last day... wowsa! :D
Nigel, great video! The shot with the man and the dog is one of my favorites of this shoot!
I love Nigel's woodland photography sessions. As much as there's skill that goes into capturing mountain scenery, it seems a greater challenge to assemble the jumble and mess of a woodland into striking compositions.

I really liked the image of the man and his dog in the forest. Thank you for a nice video!
Thanks Nigel for another great video. Love the foggy woodland phots. Just show hows how interesting the woodland looks with a bit of fog
👍. Merry Christmas 🏔❄☃ and all the best for 2025 📷🌄.
Stunning pictures Nigel... That proves your class!
Some utterly beautiful light and you definitely made the most of it, superb
Great video. The shot with the man and his dog was wonderful and adds a bit of storytelling to the photo. Thanks for the tips and inspiration.
Incredible images (and video) as always Nigel & your enthusiasm is inspirational! Great to see Pebbles enjoying her woodland walks.
Nigel, thank you for another wonderful and inspirational video that is a real treat for the eye and the photographic soul.
I nearly mist it! what wonderful shots thank you
Beautiful images, the conditions with the mist and the light rays coming through it are just crying out to be captured. Excellent video!
Nigel, your mistakes tend to resemble my best shots! LOL. What a wonderful project and what a great time you had with Pebbles. Thank you! Looking forward to seeing this work on Squarespace.
Great photos Nigel, I really liked the photo of the man and his dog. A bit like Mads photo style.
Stunning, and you were right to include the dog walker.
Another bunch of excellent images. It was also good fun watching Pebbles get down and dirty ! 🤣😂
Awesome photographs, The Last print with a person and his dog waking the path was best of the set. Thanks Sir.

Beautiful photos, Trees.. 🌴🌴🌴❤❤❤

Wow, you were certainly blessed with the conditions on those few days.
Great image's as usual.
Catch you on the next one.
Wow that was a fun watch, so good to see folks in their element, that last day pics are especially amazing!
Lovely images Nigel, as you say 5 days of wonderful conditions. As someone who struggles in the woodland, these vlogs really do help.
Loved them all but especially the man and his dog, something special about it and different
Once again, this really shows how printing photos really gives a sense of what you did better than on a screen
Fabulous video Nigel thanks for sharing - some great foggy conditions and nice to see Pebbles enjoying the mud!! No meta data on the photos which was a shame as it's always good to see what aperture, shutter speed and ISO you are using for your superb photos so we can learn from them...
The dog walker is by far my favorite of several wonderful images.
After a long work week, a quiet Sunday morning with a cup of coffee and photography with Pebbles and Nigel. Just what I needed.
It has never occurred to me to use my phone in order to assess the shot before taking it. This will be a game changer for me. Thank you sooooo much for this wonderful video.
Great video , fabulous photos
Thanks for this, Nigel. Always enjoy your enthusiasm about "getting out!" Hoping you hit 500k soon! Happy holidays.
Excellent video, Nigel, excellent video. Thanks for creating and sharing it. Some fine images and useful tips and examples. Cheers.

Felt like the OG Nigel with the fog, Pebbles, and music. And that is a great thing! Thanks for the video. Looking for my camera now.
Nigel I love the close up shots as well as day 5 with the light ! Bravo 👏
Nice one again Nigel. Good to see you out again. Really love your woodland shots.
The woodlands at your region are beautiful 👍

Cheers - it was a good week
Fantastic day 5 light mate. And beautiful images throughout
Your videos are a mix of art, tech and magic. Thank you Nigel.

My favorite type of video. I set a calendar notification yesterday to remember to watch this as soon as you put it up

Love the vid Nigel!!!
Your best video for a while. The photos and commentary were really helpful. Thank you.
Another great video and beautiful photos. Thanks for walking us through your thinking. It’s so helpful.
Great video, Nigel! Those images you printed and talked about at the end were off the scale stunning!! 👍 Five days of fog!! Must have been amazing!
