It grows on 3 different species of willow that I'm personally aware of maybe more, it's a fungus and only certain subspecies of the genos are affected by it

I use a ratchet strap when cutting leaning pieces and helps prevent cracking while cutting
What is your preferred method for getting that bark off the diamonds? I know it is really stuck on there.
I just shaved down a little with a sharp chisel. I dont remove it all, Some people do. Personal preference
