- SEMA Show 2023 is quickly approaching and there's still a lot of work to be done on my 1965 Power Wagon Truck Camper. It's been feeling a lot like Vegas Rat Rods in the shop scrambling for parts and pieces before our deadline. Crazy ideas comes with crazy situations.

I was done with computerized trucks 30 years ago all I own is old outdated run-for-ever shit. The newest truck I own is a 1980 k10 short bed stepside with a vintage aluminum topper. Can't forget my 1982 Jeep CJ7 with a Iron Duke 4 banger 4 speed
Same philosophy here, the world moves toward tech as I run in the other direction. Love the build, projects and channel.

I have a '70 W200 Wagon 4x4 quad cab with Dana 60's that's ex military with the 318 commercial. The only upgrade I did was to put in HEI because I'm just tired of doing points. Dad had a '67 bug that I learned to drive on and he also had a '71 single cab W200 at the time. His '70 Satellite Sebring also had the 318 commercial as well and damn if that engine wasn't fickle with the points. Since then we've always put HEI on the 318's. I'm in Kingman and some day we should talk about a mutual friend. I went to school with Danny B, who's dad use to own the wrecking yard out on Route 66.

@@iamthebobs6996 that is what it means, there's a bunch of conflating going on here. Being off the grid just means you are not reliant on public utilities, doesn't mean you are bowing out of civilization altogether.

I would have done a 05+ Super duty front axle with much larger brakes for those 40" tires. Buy 8 x 165 conversion hubs and be done.

@WelderUpVegas Thank you sir Jeeps are my thing been building them since 1990 when I bought my first one of the showroom floor the last year of a true AMC Jeep and still have it my youngest drives it to hight school still has original motor and trans with Dana 60s front and rear from the factory..Its a Jeep thing!!!
