Thanks for the advice!! Been a long time since I watched a video like this....first time I ever heard the "screwdriver grip" advice and pointing your elbows....I dont ride as much wiht sportbike crews anymore, but when my harley riding buddies ask or comment on how I ride in turns, I always tell them to move thier heads towards thier mirrors and they are amazed at how much difference it makes....as most harley guys literally just plop down on the middle of the seat and never move. Glad your channel made it into my algorithm!!
The ice cream cone grip or screwdriver grip as you said. It gives flexibility to the wrist if you lean a little as you move your body out side it doesn't hinder your throttle grip There will be a straight line from your elbow down to your thumb dont wrap the thumb around the grip Your can practice at home sat in a chair Make a sides ways thumbs up lean right and notice the line from thumb to elbow
Hey bro, great video! I've been riding for 20 years, and picked up some valuable tips. The more open roads you ride, the more practice you get, the better you become. Unfortunately traffic in and around my city (London) is really bad and I've become sloppy with my body position in my Yamaha R1 so this was super refreshing to dial back in. My right hand bends are awesome, but my left hands suck because the UK has mostly tight hand turns.
Thanks! I’m glad this helped you out! And Yeah, I heard that! Some days I’m able to get a lot of practice in and some days I get caught up in too much traffic to practice anything new! But any bad day on a bike is better than any good day without a bike! Haha 👍🏻
Why would anyone take fast riding instruction from someone who is not an instructor or even a professional racer? Dunno, should I listen to Josh Herrin or you?…….hmmmm.
That’s like saying why would I take my vehicle to get the oil changed at a quick Jiffy Lube mechanic shop versus the dealer you bought it from. It doesn’t discredit anyone’s knowledge it’s just different options out there for obtaining correct advice. I hope this helps You understand how you grow in knowledge. you can never just go to one person in the whole world for everything. Haha 👍🏻

Oh, that’s a good one! Didn’t think about that, but yeah your thumbs a straight line to your elbow in that position! Good stuff!👍🏻👍🏻
