I am a Punjabi Sikh. And my Guru has taught me to protect my land at any cost. I don’t have to justify anyone as to how much I love my India. Punjab has suffered immensely to satisfy the greed and hunger for power of just a few handful of people. I hope the day comes when Punjab can arise from the wounds and generations of trauma it has been through. I want each Indian to think or at least read about Punjab once before they call a Sikh Khalistani. Because for you it might just be a joke but for us there is trauma associated with that word.

Thank you Ranveer. I am sikh from a village in Punjab. We have heard very horrible stories of 80s and 90s from our parents and have seen families suffer from it for generations now. I wish I could make everyone around me hear this podcast so that now at least they are aware of the dirty politics being played. No one could ever disturb the peace and harmony of my mother land.

As a Punjabi Hindu also from a pind my parents and grandparents have also told me these horrific stories. How Kharku's would come to the pind and ask which houses had 'bamans', gunshots in the night, waking up to yet another Punjabi Hindu household massacred in the night. Threats from Jatt Sikh neighbors telling us to give us their land and leave. Land that we've been on since Rigvedic times and a place where our religion (Hinduism) started. It's sad how politics and religion can create such a storm that otherwise good people you grew up with for generations and generations can turn on you. My grandparents even left for Jalandhar because they were scared what would happen to their 7 daughters. Colleges shot up, women r/ped in fields, all because they were Hindu and this was some sort of revenge for what was going on km's away in Delhi. It's just so sick what two generations of our families had to go through because of one political family's incompetence and their decisions that impacted millions of people. I'm sad that Punjabi's voted for AAP, including people in my family sadly. We knew this threat was coming yet people still voted for them. Let's hope things never get to the point of the 80s and 90s again. Common people who just want to live and let live don't deserve this and us Punjabi's deserve better

I’m an Indian living in San Jose. Sikhs are the most sweetest people I’ve ever met. The Gurudhwara always make me feel at home. They feed anyone who want food anytime of the day. I’ve learned a lot about humility and humanity from Sikhs in USA, and I can’t tell you enough how much value and personal growth this community has helped me attain.

They are Hindus and as I am Sikh so in India we had good bonding but after they reached Canada they told me that huge population in Canada speak ill about them"hindus" they hate Hindus and they "my friends" often ask me that am I too feel the same or all Sikhs hate Hindus and India. So I replied to them that as I live in India and was with you my parents never taught me this. We love our religion but we also have respect towards others this is what the true Sikh has been taught in our Guru granth sahib ji. These media houses would need a real spine and independent unbiased journalism to talk about real issues plaguing Punjab; desertification of waters, drugs, promoting & protecting Punjabi language, strategic discrimination by center govt etc. It’s all about what sells and who funds those channels 😢

My entire ancestral family is from Punjab although I am not a Sikh I respect the Sikhs tremendously…. Every time I go to Punjab (almost every year) I make it a point to visit the Golden Temple and various other Gurudwaras
