      roughly mark with sharpie, then scratch a fine line with calipers into the sharpie marks... they can work as a compass if you need them to. no more an abuse of the tool than using it to scratch straight line parallels onto stuff.

      The other ones I really like is when a lock ring groove is chewed up and they "fix" it by making it even more oversized with a die grinder, or when they "clean up" damage in the chrome with a flap sanding disc

I occasionally miss smoking but am content with waiting till retirement rather than allowing it to impact my job performance the way it did for so many years (never broke anything or hurt anyone but hot damn was I slow and forgetful)

    Good truck with Teflon tape. After you apply it, use the edge of the roll to press it in the threads. Easier then the finger nail.

      Turning the roll around the other direction will allow you to put a little tension on the tape as you apply it too, it's much easier to apply as well.

    AvE I have blown out my Milwaukee M12 Surge impact after 3 1/2 years of work. It has issues impacting and lost almost all it's power. If your interested I will send it for an autopsy if your interested.
    It's had some hot suppers with HVAC, driving lags and breaking some rusty nuts. I drove it like a rental and put it away wet. It was my everyday carry until last week.
    Anyways thank you for the videos and laughs, please keep it up!!!

    The real fun for me is when maintenance hooks the vertical clamp cylinder onto the same air line as the sand blower, that way every time I operate the machine it blows sand all over the place.

      It's amazing how far back in the line the sand travels. Had to once fix a sticky valve that used a lube pump. Found sand.

    Old maintenance guy taught me a trick with the sealing tape. Roll it up on the length ways to fit into the wide threads for a few rounds, then change to flat. Used it on high pressure steam, hot water, gas, was a game changer.

    I've also found liquid Teflon or another pipe thread sealant with tape wrapped on top of it works well.

      I ordered an old book from just over Lake Superior and shipping was over $20! The 121 year old book was $7.

That is disturbing and hilarious at the same time, people buying books only to match interior design. gorak9000's comment seems to be missing. I do anthropological research and I don't think this book is on the "interwebs". I needed a translation of Phaethon describing the daylight comet fragment crash, the Mesoamericans also depict the same story.

One time in the airport they started jabbing a strange meter through my carry-on and calling me over while I'm trying to stop them cause they were going to hurt my very rare Finnish book, come to find out it was the gold, probably radioactive, lettering.

      I was one of those nerds who didn't drink, but can confirm some great ideas were had when delusional from sleep deprivation and the deneumont of post test stress release.
      Maybe mix it in with a need to stick a symbolic middle finger to the administration, other clubs/majors, etc. Those were always the best.
