  • Getting a early start putting out the frost sensitive plants this year. Weather looks good for the next 2 weeks and time to get started. The video has some issues because I am learning a new program. My Video studio that I have used for years was trashed by a Win 11 update and since Corel switched names there is no real support or updates. Been struggling to learn DaVinci Resolve the last 3days and I still have a lot to learn.

    URHC , Your garden 🪴 is looking 👀 great, Veggies coming up soon, I have your JD , ROn , it will cost too much to post ✉️, 😂,
    I have been trying to buy one about 3 weeks ago, I tried to contact someone in France, because I English nobody will reply back to me, so my grass is getting very long, I have just been back to the Uk and picked up the rest of my timber and Hog, I went to the poly tunnel, To put some bits and pieces in there out of the way to store for the time being in the dry, I had noticed that somebody had been in my garden and by the looks of it I’ve had a party, my property runs alongside the river, you could see where somebody had been walking and laying on the grass, and left some snack bags, I did think at one time about buying a trial camera, I think I should’ve done,
    Anyway, your garden is looking great , Great to see you’re both safe and well, And the boss is keeping you busy, I hope you enjoy your meal tonight with bok choy, France.

      Thank. Now it's time to fight off the bugs and critters. Hoping to sell the JD so I can get one with a cab. Getting too old for the winter cold and summer heat. Plus after a mild winter and all the deer we are being overrun with ticks that cary some nasty diseases.
      so glad that you're getting everything together and have a nice place to work now. Those game cameras are great for keeping an eye onthings while you are away. I hate litterbugs like that.
      Bok Choy is one of our favorite stir fry ingredients and fresh picked is best. Thanks for watching.

    Software updates are so annoying.

      They can waste a lot of time. Win 11 sure can mess up other programs. Now that Corel has changed names I think Videostudio I have been using for years is toast. Thanks for watching.

    Have you considered planting garlic in the beds that will hold your eggplants???…. I had luck keeping grasshoppers from my beds last season…. I now make rows on the edges of my beds as barriers. Protected potatoes, edamame, lettuce, carrots and peppers…Love your garden videos!!!

      No I haven't because the garlic goes in the previous Nov. I never see any flea beetles elsewhere and they don't react to the natural treatments. Thanks for watching.

    I'm so happy you posted. Thank you for your inspiration to get out and plant. I've enjoyed your videos for years. You have a knack for producing quality produce. Thank you for your time and the davinci edit program seems to be working for you. Great quality as ever. Chuck Beavers from WA state zone 8b

      Thanks. We seem to get lucky each year and always have something put away for the winter months. I think it will work out but tough to start over at my age. Thanks for watching.

    I love pickled radishes!

      Never tried that. We eat them so fast there aren't any left to pickle. Spicy ones are good in stir frys. Thanks for watching.

    Your garden and property looks amazing, clean and organized. What do you use for fertilizer and when do you first apply. Thanks!

    • @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023
      @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The compost is fertilizer. Inspread a little Miliorganite around the plants after planting every couple weeks to keep animals away (more smell value then fertilizer value ). My Amish store sold me a bag of fertilizer last year for onions and garlic and I spread a little around them today.

    I just LOVE your garden videos every year....your garden is one of my most favorites!! Where do you get the material to make those round cicle planters in the garden? that is what I need here!!! 🙂

      Thanks. They are made from almost 50 year old pool wall extrusions. I have tried to find a company interested in making them but none would. They last a lifetime. Thanks for watching.

    I've heard with marigolds they only work on nematodes and only if the marigolds are planted before the intended crop. The roots make something that kills the nematodes but it only decreases the nematode population if the marigold roots are the only food source around.
    I don't know how someone would even know that nematodes were an issue with their plants anyway. Lots of people say nematodes are beneficial to soil 🤷

      I have good luck with the marigolds when they get big and smelly keeping some critters and bugs at bay. We also like the color they add. Thanks for watching.

    Video looks great. The garden does too! My tomatoes down here in Fort Mill, SC are about four to five feet tall in my raised bed. Keep up the good work!

      Thanks. It would be worth moving south just to get the first tomato sandwiches 2 months early 😋. Thanks for watching.

    I am always so impressed with your gardens. Mine looks like crap. Maye thru out the summer I will get all the grass and weeds pulled up and lay down some gravel like you did. Very sweet looking gardens.

      The gravel has worked great. Put down black 6 mill poly first and punch some holes in it with a pitch fork for drainage. Thanks for watching

    Garden looks very good. Can you tell me the name of marigold flowers?

    • @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023
      @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. They are just seeds that I have saved from a batch that grew very large. I think they started as generic marigold seeds from Burpee. Thanks for watching.

    do the adjavaski freeze good as a stuffed pepper?

    • @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023
      @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, not really stuffing peppers, they freeze well sliced or chopped. Good for eating raw, grilling, frying, and roasting. We roast and freeze a bunch every year. Plus we can the roasted red peppers also. Thanks for watching.
