I had a Rainbow Lorikeet. He was hand reared, we got him from a pet shop but when we got him home he was so skinny, you could feel bones. The shop had been giving him seed, Only to find out that he was a nectar eater. We gave him a diet of baby food and honey. He had cat toys in his cage. One day we thought he was dead only to find out that he used to play with his cat ball, he was laying on his back playing with his cat ball. It was amazing to see. The dog used to love him, he used to kiss the bird every day then we realised that the dog was licking all the honey from the Lori’s beak after he had been fed. Amazing birds❤️❤️❤️
I have several of these birds fly onto my balcony and they give me much pleasure, none of them talk in our language, but in their own, which I enjoy, let them be free and enjoy them in their freedom.
They are all my favorite species lol. I love birds and want one sooo bad. But either god or Loki decided to mess with me and make me severely allergic to them 🙄
